- Jordan Peterson inspired this video. Today I talk about how I started this channel as a way to explore my potential... then WHY I took a break. I discuss how my experiences with chronic fatigue and burnout (in the past) have lead to (negative) fear and how can ENTJ can use fear in a positive way, to motivate themselfs to achieve their goals.
It's good to be back!
Soon I will upload some more footage from my chat with MBTItime, you can find our chat on her channel (ENTJ misconceptions) here:

The clip from Peterson is about ~12 min into this lecture:

I’m so glad I found this video. I’m an entj and I LOVE Jordan Peterson and I’m such a big procrastinator. I relate to most of the things you said and I’ll try to put those tips into action. Thank you!
"You want to be more afraid of not pursuing your goals than pursuing them."
I always say the comfort zone is not comfortable at all. There's almost no better feeling than the freedom you get each time you successfully get out ouf your comfort zone. And one of the worst feelings is being stuck in it. So I guess it can be viewed as being afraid of staying in the comfort zone
Damn. This came to me At a perfect time. I lost my job but it’s okay it wasn’t for me, I could do any job but I’m tired of doing the 9-5 and living someone else’s dream. I keep looking for ways to generate passive income so I can live the life I want to live on my own terms. But fear is what is holding me back and prevents me from sticking to one thing. I’m afraid it will be a waste of time or I will end up losing money. I think I need to stop being so afraid and just go with it and take that risk otherwise I may never know. Thank you. Don’t give up. ENTJ Capricorn ♑️❤️👍🏽😁
Awesome to hear this was helpful! Providence :)
Yes, don't waste your life, or at least waste the potential you have 💪🏼
This is so great, as an ENTJ I find everything you say more relatable and easier to understand, I'm so happy that I found your channel. Thanks for upload your amazing content
Thanks for the feedback mate! It's great to hear how helpful this is! Any topics you'd like me to focus on in the future?
What perfect timing! Just today I was thinking how burned out I feel and was thinking about death...not in a bad way but more like if I don’t take advantage of the now and I kept wasting time, then what am I going to leave my daughters? I don’t know if it’s all entj’s but I feel like every second matters and I need to make every second count. I sometimes feel like I’m just running in place and I use fear to drive me. My goals aren’t immediate but when they happen they happen lol. I appreciate your content. Keep on the great work
Thanks very much for this :) Great to know this is useful and valuable. Even if my audience for a video like this is not as big as some of my other videos, it's still valuable to produce!
The fact that ive been through so much this year and the last one as well but I keep putting it off as something minimal that I can overcome. And dont get it twist it, I know I can overcome, but I haven't taken the time to step back and analyze what it was actually doing to me. To be frank I still haven't. I try to push myself so hard with everything I want to do, but im blocked. I cant describe it in a better way. Im blocked and im immobile - even though im burning from inside to take on the next big thing for myself. Im procrastinating without really wanting to procrastinate. My mom, my biggest support in this world, keeps telling me to slow down and realize that I need to cut myself some slack. I think I'll have to do that. It's a work in progress.
Even though I'm ENFP, I can relate to so many things in this video, including the exhaustion. Also Jordan Peterson had some great advice against anxiety, which was surprisingly simple: eat a big breakfast. I've been feeling super tense and the breakfast thing helps. And generally, the more advice I see, the more it seems like I can only be driven by a positive outlook behind the fear monster. Great video.
Thanks very much for this :) ENTJ burnout is a tricky subject to talk about, because we tend to believe we're 'better than that'... it's a very mental thing and we're good at pushing through mental barriers. However, when our physical bodies are weak, we can't achieve all that our mind pulls us towards... yet we try... and this tends to spiral out of control quite quickly.
Simple advice like, eating a healthy breakfast, getting enough sleep, is actually really bloody good advice haha.
Keep the content coming man! Extremely insightful sharing vulnerability.
I love how authentic this was. Thank you.- ESTJ
That fear about the death bed is the hallmark of an entj haha
'Don't waste your Life' by Lecrae was my Jam in 2010 lol.
Thank you! It's really helpful.
I am so glad you are back, I really enjoy your videos and learn + reflect a lot, and as commented below it's nice to have a place to meet and chat because at least in my case it is really hard to find other ENTJs. Please keep creating these videos if you feel like it but please stop for a while if you don't feel like it, don't stress :) Thanks!!!
Thanks for the support mate! I really enjoy doing videos that I care about. I think if I chase high numbers and subs, perhaps I might miss the point/the value in what I'm doing. Really appreciate you taking the time for this feedback :)
@@TeNiPersonalityGrowth that's true, I guess you will not know until you reach that point, I am curious to see which direction your channel will take ^^
Amazing content! I've gained control agaaain
Really awesome to hear that this has been valuable to you :)
Chronic Fatigue, did you mean burn out? Working for the sake of working messed me up as well. Had to drop out because of overworking. When my Fi is empty, I got addicted to video games. The fear was so big for me, but now I am slaying my dragons. I dug deep and hard and saw my deepest trauma I got from childhood. I had to convince myself for a long time as well, now I don't need any of that and just did what I had to do.
I only procastinate on stuff people force me to do, like homework 🤷🏽♂️
Great content man . You have a subscriber here from Africa
Hey! Welcome! I’m actually in africa right now! The Seychelles 🇸🇨!
Beautiful island I reckon . I’m here in Kenya 🇰🇪
Eyy! Looking forward watching to the Olympics soon - the Kenyans always seems to smash the running!
@@TeNiPersonalityGrowth yeah we kind of seem to have the physiology for it , especially the long distance
Hey man, just want to say I really appreciate this video you put out. I was not really into these personality stuff but I was having the same issues as you and I found your video as I was finding a solution. Big eye opener.
I like how I can use my fears to push me.
That's awesome mate! Really cool that this helped you - even though the personality stuff might be outside your interests - my ultimate goal here for the channel is to help people understand themselves, others and to be all they can be 💪🏼
Jordan is an estj.
Apparently you've never met an ESTJ in your life 😂
