It does really feel good to know there are people who think like you out there. Especially when your whole life the people around you made you think you were the anomaly
This was a great video, I really like the "take their bullets before they can use them" approach. I also appreciate that you don't organize your things either, I don't think I'm weird anymore lol.
Yeah. It's curious to many, as in our conversation/leadership interface, we show strong organization to others. In the Objective Personality (OP) system, they have 32 subtypes, so even within the ENTJ domain, there are observable inclinations on this matter...yet, many ENTJ's have less physical organization behind the physical curtain, than what might appear outwardly. No type has everything, so rest assured, you are not alone, and it's good awareness to use in life navigation. Best in all to you - Coach B
Wonderful interview! I know Brian through the OPS community, and he's an awesome person. You have insightful information on the MBTI. Your videos popped up on my RUclips algorithm this morning. Cheers! 💪💪💪
Hubby is an ISTJ and damn do we argue.🙄 I tell him I'm not arguing but he ALWAYS has a problem with my intensity n feels personally attacked. To me its bullshit.. doomed for failure🤦♀️
"Coach B" here. I got several private/direct messages challenging the claim that ISTJs are the dominant MBTI in engineering...so, I'll offer some conversation in response here. In my example, we selected the context of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) during the Space Shuttle era (and likely Apollo also), so we didn't intend to characterize the entirety of engineering or space program roles. All types were represented among the thousands on the campus. While many MBTI preferences were represented at JSC in that era, and thankfully so, ISTJ preferences was IN MY OWN ESTIMATION the most common type (I was in the midst of as an ENTJ "poet"). I knew hundreds if not thousands personally that were/ are of the ISTJ preferences. Additionally, the term "Plumbers and Poets" is also admittedly a narrow phraseology...yet it offers a good backdrop, for this particular conversation, to discuss the ENTJ challenge and opportunity in such an ISTJ dominant environment (and in life overall, since ~40% of the population have Si in Dom or Aux). The "plumbers" (Si and Se doms/aux) probably consisted of mostly STJs, but also STPs and NTPs, and some SFJs. In total, having Si or Ti or Se in ones top two functions, tended to be the norm in the discussed context. While not as plentiful as ISTJs, I now estimate a decent share of very good engineers and "rocket scientists" that where ISFJs (also Si doms). In total, all 16 types can find their place in engineering....yet, having no Si or Ti in ones cognitive stack, as is the case for NTJs, meant only having Se child to leverage from the top 3 most important cognitive functions that tended to be called upon in the engineering and space shuttle roles and responsibilities... so, ENTJs fell mostly into the "poets" category. In my case, I adapted and moved into systems/process integration, supervision, management, "manifest strategy", and macro process leadership roles, which were a really good NTJ fit ...but the early technical years were very challenging without Si or Ti, and only Se child to draw upon in that context. Note1: The classic "poets" at JSC we're probably the ENFPs ..They had the same stack as the ISTJs, only in reverse order, so they had the NeFi "poet" proclivity, as well as the Te project management orientation, and had Si to leverage off of as well. Those "poets" offered great proclivities for problem solving and creative brainstorming....and their Fi offered lots of much needed balance (as did the Fe from SFJs, NFJs, etc) Note2: NFJs and SFPs existed as well, even though this doesn't specifically delineate their roles.
I struggle a lot with my Si blindspot too. I was typed MF-TeNi BSPC by objective personality last year and since then I have realised Si is not my fourth function but actually my blindspot. It's like I see only half of the sensory. The Se in front of me. But not the Si. Like emails, routines, am I hungry or sick, etc. I have come to the conclusion I need to live my a minimalist life style. Not there at all now, but I will be. My Se is so called masculine, so it is demanding. I gather stuff for my feminine Ni like an admirer buying her gifts. She drowns in the mess... 😅 I wrote you another comment in an older video of yours. Would be nice to chat. I think you actually are the same subtype of ENTJ as me. Ops type by 9 coins (S/N, F/T single decider/ double decider, introvert decider /extrovert decider, sleep before play /play before sleep, feminine De/masculine De etc). I have so faar not heard of any other ENTJ of my exact type. I think the feminine Te and feminine Ni is my type is to some extent described in the profile of the turbulent ENTJ as opposed to the assertive. Here I think the mTe vs fTe is the distinction discovered, more than the mNi vs fNi. It makes a huge difference in appearance. I am often seen as a feeler as I am so soft. But little do they know 😁😎
In online tests I used to get ENFP and INFP. My fi is also masculine so it shows more. It is the demon for sure. But a demanding one. I think the mbti tracks more the masculine functions than savior functions. And feeling is somewhat described as paying attention to the people impact. Te first is aware of people - the tribe. So despite relying on all logic the feelings of the tribe is scary and needs to be considered (and perhaps controlled too). Which is only the default program in our heads, I mean. We need to think outside of the box to grow. I think you do that greatly 😊
That was a great video! I just found out about your channel today and I immediately subscribed! Although I'm not an ENTJ (ESFJ male here lol), I appreciate your content and I strangely relate to it, maybe in a reverse way?😂 Learn about Ni Blindspot but listening to people talk about how they deal with their si Blindspot and reversing stuff😂 Anyways, great content! Keep up the good work!

I find it more relatable hearing real ENTJs talk about their lives more than those villain depictions of us in fiction .

Why'd you stop making videos bro? I miss them. You were my main source of learning about ENTJs since you're not mistyped :(
i wish you would come back and do some videos, they dont even have to be about mbti..just life in general or something along those lines
Hubby is an ISTJ and damn do we argue.🙄 I tell him I'm not arguing but he ALWAYS has a problem with my intensity n feels personally attacked. To me its bullshit.. doomed for failure🤦♀️
Same with my spouse. Love them but if it doesn’t ultimately work out… will NOT be dating another xSTJ

Dan, how are the Te goals progressing?

7:05 this man is me… 🤦🏽♀️
I have so many labelled boxes containing organised chaos.
Welcome to Sweden! We have a Swedish facebook group dedicated to us and the intjs if you want to make like minded friends 😊
