In reflection here - perhaps there are a few that I shouldn't have ticked... but perhaps I WANTED to tick. I wonder how many of these my friends and family would tick if I asked them?
@@ChristianPeterBrown Good point! That said, I think I don't want to be 'too' rigid' how I express what it means to be an ENTJ - these specific examples are perhaps best described as common (coincidental) manifestations of Te and Ni cognitive functions :) These ones just happened to relate to me really well personally!
That moment when you’re arranging the groceries so that they’re using the optimal space in the bag and you are satisfied at the end of the task. And you were thinking for a long time that is normal 🤣🤣.
@Gabby Hmmm... I'm on the path to financial independence myself, due to some property investments I made (and have continued to build on) since my early 20s. I plan to achieve this by 40(ish). I'd say my motivations here are 'healthy' - I want to be free to work how/when I choose. Having financial stability enables me to achieve that.... Hello! I'm a student from your wifes class just coming here to ask if you could maybe do a live stream with her some day? Hope you're having a great day!
I am not sure if you incorporate Enneagram into your typology. But these ENTJ traits describe why I - and likely many ENTJs - would type as the Enneagram 8. They appear very similar. But, I am an Enneagram 3. On the inside there is insecurity, but on the outside what shows is confidence.
Interesting. Which ones do you think related to you and which ones didn't? I did the Enneagram 10 years ago and was a 'type 3'... now, I'm a type 7w8 on the recent test I did.
@@TeNiPersonalityGrowth I relate to 80% of those. Some of them are superficial, but the authority, execution, and confronting parts are very Te dominant, which mimics the E8. The E3 and E7 are more positive and socially concerned which can appear contradictory to Te.
Yes, this video certainly panders that that idea lol.. I think what you are saying is true - I'm actually trying to move people away from this idea... to grow their STRENGTHS not just their weaknesses. This video is definitely my least cerebral content... sort of an experiment really to see if I can capture people's attention with a fun/simple test, so that they subscribe/watch some more of my 'personality growth' content. We grow when we confront our weaknesses, not just hide behind our strengths!
@@TeNiPersonalityGrowth Thanks for replying, it clears up a lot 😄 And I didn't see your reflection post when I typed the comment. What I also meant are comments all over the internet saying "Oh, that is so INFJ of you", or people who are ENTJ's trying to make their comments look as emotionless as possible for example. I'm getting horoscope-vibes from that. People often see what they want to see. I did multiple tests a few days ago and they all say I'm ENTJ. And I kind of get why I got that as an outcome, but I really take it with a pinch of salt. I can be totally introverted, spontaneous or emotional as well. Highly depends on the situation I would say, and also on how much you are developed as a person. And indeed, as you said, it's good when people really want to improve and not just use the strengths (and weaknesses) as a way to show off how unique they are. Btw it turned out to be effective because I follow you because of this video
@@ive3737 I can totally relate to what you are saying :) You might like my most recent video - it tries to address the 'horoscope' vibes' you mentioned. Also, what you are saying is definitely in line with experince! Take a look at this (long) quote from Jung: "I have pointed out more than once, introversion and extra- version are not traits of character at all but mechanisms, which can, as it were, be switched on or off at will. Only from their habitual predominance do the corresponding characters develop. The predilection one way or the other no doubt depends on the in-born disposition, but this is not always the decisive factor. I have frequently found environmental influences to be just as important. In one case in my experience, it even happened that a man with markedly extravert behaviour, while living in close proximity to an intro- vert, changed his attitude and became quite introverted when he later came into contact with a pronounced extraverted personality."
