I'd have preferred that you either (a) show both countertop and cabinet installations or (b) mention in the title that this is for countertop only.

Agree, especially now most people have granite or quartz countertops which require bracket install on side cabinet.

I prefer installing a receptacle, and using a power cord. The cord is much more flexible than Romex NM and anyone servicing the unit can be sure power is off by unplugging it. New installations require GFCI too.

The dishwasher was obviously not hooked up to actually work before this demo as the white plastic plug had not been removed from the water connection. After removing the water hose connection with channel locks you can see that the white plastic plug was not removed...at 1:20 mark.

Gary Hershberger that is the filter. It is not a plug. My dishwasher was the exact same way.

Question, I have a GE Profile Dishwasher Model# PDW9880J00SS Serial #VF714399B and original mounting bracket, welded onto dishwasher, sheared off. I now have 2 brackets with Part #WD01X10598 and am trying to understand where to attach the bracket onto the dish washer. I do not have that flange where you can attach the bracket to. Please advise!

Shouldn't you turn the water back on and check for leaks before installing the insulation and kick panel? I wouldn't trust that cheap, garden hose connection, especially when you're using pliers to loosen and retighten it..

+Craig Shaw That is not a bad suggestion.

Mine is garden hose too, but I hand tightened it. Amazing how cheap looking some things look that could flood your house!

Announcer needs to speak in a normal voice. Very annoying.
