- This video provides step-by-step instructions for installing a universal mounting bracket on any dishwasher. The most common reason for installing a universal mounting bracket is when the dishwasher is being installed under a granite or solid surface counter top. Or if the particle board under the counter top has been damaged.

2 important things:
1. The bracket can be installed under the countertop, but the dishwasher doesn’t have to be completely removed to do it. Just pull it out 6 inches, it works perfectly fine.
2. If you do removed the dishwasher, DO NOT disconnect dishwasher hose first! (The video has it backwards). Turn off water to dishwasher first….then disconnect dishwasher hose.
Thank you for the tip.
We do show in the video to turn the power off and turn the dishwasher water supply off first in the video.
Magically have a wood piece ready to screw into lol. Also, then no bracket would be needed if you can screw directly into wood.
Think: granite and marble counters.
Next: instruct your family to exit the house in case of an explosion.
😂
whaaaa😂
At 2:20, you have screws already in place attaching the dishwasher clips to the wood that is apparently glued to the bottom of the counter. And that piece of wood is what you're screwing the new mounting bracket to anyway. What's the point of the bracket, if the dishwasher is already mounted to the countertop via the wood?
Agreed. Not much in responses from distributor of video. No help other than yea, this has pre- drilled holes here and over there😂 and oh by the way, your going to need to do a makeshift plank of sorts that mounts under your counter top, because once you replace an old washer, it calls for making holes for said plank, so you can mount the bracket. They know or this video is old, that most people will have to do more than just what's put forth in this video, during new install replacing 6 yr old washer.
This video is pointless, but in my case we replaced the cheap countertop with quartz, so there is no piece of wood available any longer and this bracket is required.
Cannot find this part -- it appears to be no longer available!
Amazon has it
Home Depot has it. I just bought one.
Ok so why did he drag the entire dishwasher out to do this?
Looks like the under side of the counter top was damaged so they used the bracket to secure the dishwasher safely to the cabinets.
He could've pushed the dishwasher in 2 inches... Smh
@@jckdnls9292in? There’s no room under my cabinet, so out is the only way ))
Dont have the extra bracket. Have to go back for that.😒
What is the silicon grease for?
It was silicone adhesive
