Actually there was a code you could enter that unlocks what's called "Dream Mode" allowing you I think fight any character regardless. If you were the Ninja Megazord you could fight the White Ranger as a giant.

Oh I'm aware. I mentioned it in one of my shorts. On my gameplay channel, I apparently have the only footage of dream mode on youtube.

Hello, InfiniteComboReviews. Seems pretty good timing for you to be doing videos on these games. Our channel is built around doing voice acting for retro video games like these, and since the passing of JDF late last year, we've had in the plans to do our fan dubs of some retro Power Ranger games like these. Though so far our luck with emulators hasn't been great, but it's still on the table!
Since you're going through these different versions of the game, we could actually use your help on some information about the cut scenes and dialog content of the different versions of this game. Like what exactly are the differences between versions, are there exclusive scenes or dialog to one version or missing from other versions? and stuff like that. so we can more adequately build our video project for the fan dub of this game, as we will likely be doing all 4 versions in one video... or whatever versions are most suited for it. Depending on their content.

Sure. Happy to help. So when you say all 4 versions, I assume we are exclusively speaking about the Power Ranger Movie Games correct? Not the standard Power Ranger games which there are 5 of (6 if you count the Famicom game). Assuming you mean exclusively the movie games, all 4 are mostly different though the game gear and genesis versions so share the same opening text scrawl and different variations of the cutscenes though they all reference the movie scenes. I mention this in my reviews that I'm hunting down the game that isn't really a Power Rangers Movie game, but since it'll help you I'll spoil them a bit. In order.
The Gameboy game basically has zero cutscenes except at the end where whichever ranger you beat Ivan with will say 1 line.
The Game Gear game starts with Lord Zedd just summoning a monster and mid game goes into the movie stuff with Ivan 1 shotting you in gameplay then destroying the command center in a cutscene and basically just a text crawl of the movie plot with a few movie themed images behind it.
The Genesis game is the most like the movie with an in game cutscene of Ivan KOing the rangers in the first level. Then we get cutscenes of basically from the moment the rangers lose their powers up to the final zord fight. Yeah, they condensed all of the movie stuff to still image cutscenes and inserted flashback scenes from season 2 when the old rangers transferred their powers to the new ones. You also get a Bulk and Skull scene at the end, but man the eyes are creepy on the rangers.
The SNES version is a our faker having literally nothing what so ever to do with the movie at all and only a ending cutscene of the rangers standing with the Ninja Megazord.
If it helps you, I have the entire playthrough in high quality over on my gameplay channel of the Game Gear and Gameboy games. I put it up there as a resource for content creators. You don't need to credit me but its appreciated. I'll make a point to post the Genesis and SNES games this weekend for you. Gameplay footage is here. Hope it helps! www.youtube.com/@ReviewPlaythrough/videos

@@InfiniteComboReviews Thanks this is a lot of help. We actually were thinking about doing the original Power Rangers games and the Movie games into a single video, as there doesn't seem to be a ton of content as far as text for voice acting stuff to work with. so similar to how our very first video, we put Megaman 1, 2 and 3 into a single 6 minute video together. Though as we've gotten better and better, our videos are getting longer and we've started adding our own original dialog written into the game as well like we did for Expendabros a few days ago. Adding voice lines for game footage with no text.
if you do have footage of the stuff for the game, that would be a great help. We have no way yet to pay anybody for work, as our whole team pretty much works pro-bono for now till we can get monetized. but we have been looking for someone to help record game play footage. as currently me (Quantom X, project director) has pretty much been the only person playing and recording all the games for our videos. though there's a couple guys working on some stuff like Smile is recording some stuff for Marvel vs Capcom 3, but it's a slow process.
If we could bring you on to recored game play footage for the Power Ranger games and possibly more later on, that would be fantastic, take a load of work off my shoulders , especially since I struggle to get an emulator working, and would of course give you credit. I can write the scripts and edit the footage together with the voice acting and do the casting, Its just taking the time to get an emulator working, learn how to play those games and record it all puts a ton more time and work on my end when I'm trying to do all the other stuff as well. You could even voice a character if you like, mostly of your choice within reason if the voice fits the character well enough!

@@hyperfrostproductions5364 Well you're definitely in luck then as I already have all the Power Rangers footage from all the games except the Fighting Edition on SNES as I've reviewed the others already. I just haven't posted any of that gameplay yet as I've been slowly uploading gameplay to the second channel as it it relatively new.
Unfortunately I don't think I can be your footage guy as I'm fairly busy with a full time job, plus the reviews on this channel usually take upwards of 20+ hours to edit without counting time to record the game, and I stream (which is where I get a lot of my footage from now a days but I do that co-op with a friend so it limits what I can do) but if you skim through my reviews and see a game you're interested in I can make sure to get the footage up for you sooner than later and depending on the game I might be able to get you some footage.
I wouldn't mind voicing a character once in a while but I'm not exactly what you'd call a voice actor by any stretch of the imagination and can't really do any voice beyond my own, but if you need like a side character, one shot, type of voice for variety you can hit me up.

@@InfiniteComboReviews That sounds great. And yes if we could have access to your power rangers game footage, it would save a lot of time and effort on my end on getting a fan dub done for those.

@@InfiniteComboReviews Oh, but a follow up to this thing you said.
"The Gameboy game basically has zero cutscenes except at the end where whichever ranger you beat Ivan with will say 1 line."
Is the line said different from each Ranger? or do they all say the same thing at the end?

Oof. Back when I started this channel I made a video about just that and I said the SNES version but I've played both so many times throughout my life and I tend to flip flop a lot since thier strengths and weaknesses are so different, but I'm leaning towards the Genesis title.
