After spending 10 days in Shanghai and ordering a typical Garlic Naan and Chilly Paneer Gravy at a local restaurant, I discovered that we do Chinese better than the Chinese. One of the best meals I've ever had. The sweetness of cauliflower, the crunch of the fried batter, the umami of soy sauce, the hot and sweetness of red sauce - is a killer combo that only a Brit can send back. This is just classic culture clash. What he calls hodgepodge is a full platter with a variety of taste for an Indian. He really oughta attend a wedding line up these days that offers Italian, Chinese, Indian, Middle-Eastern, and Rural/Rustic at the same time.
