A lot of them don't sing the E6 anymore in the Manager's Scene in Notes 1! They usually sing a C6 instead, and it's so confusing as to why the E6 is there in the first place since so much is going on and nobody can really hear it with everything else going on in the scene. But I'll always love Carlotta, that's a hell of a sing 8 times of a week!!
I hate when they rush the cadenza or skip the E. So the best of this bunch is the first in my opinion. However my favorite is the original Carlotta who's name escapes me at the moment.
I like Wendy Ferguson, I've seen her in the Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall - AWESOME!!! Please do yourself a favour and look it up!
Kim Stengel is the best Carlotta ever, and incredibly nice and funny in person as well. I've seen the US Tour four times in the last two years, managed to not get an understudy any of them, and she's blown me away every time. Incredible.
I don't get why people marvel at Christine's recorded high E at the end of the title song, but nobody cares when Carlotta sings it live every night.
Couldn't agree more. Carlotta's always been my favorite part

RoseMary Ash is her name
Yes!! Rosemary Ashe
The first one starts in the wrong key and so her whole cadenza is up tone!

@@TheMaestroCraig looking back yes, very sharp.
Barbara Gray sounded more like a couple of cats I heard fighting in my garden last night.

I love the dramatic drops into the voce di petto towards the end of this.

Rebecca Eichenberger...without a doubt!
Wendy!!!
Eichenberger and Stengel were my FAVORITES!!! They will be my inspirations.
She was dubbed in the film :)
Evelyn and Rebecca are my favourites! ;)
She's blocked visually but Barbara Gray Nystrom's voice is definitely the best.
It doesn’t matter what language is in or who’s playing car Lotta Sheehans in the absolute voice of an angel
rebecca wins that one guize
Some of these women couldnt hit the notes , and they tried to hide by going faster then the music was written .
##Tragic !
kim is by far better...her acting compliments her voice nicely! :)
Any footage of Christa Leahmann? (Australia)
Yes! Those of us who were fortunate enough to see (and hear) her Carlotta know what a privilege that was. She was extraordinary
I found that nearnly all the costumes are the same!
Brid Mairead that’s the point.. it’s a character. There’s not going to be different costumes
Is the show with Wendy Ferguson up for trade? I'm really interested in it.
Nr.1!
Because I have no clips of Poland Carlottas. Do you have any? o_o
@PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan sure is.
Is it wrong that I prefer Carlotta to Kristine?
Blind Princess *christine
