Think of Me (Phantom of the Opera)-Different types of cadenzas

- Just a small comparison of the different renditions I've heard. The Broadway cadenza is usually used in the Broadway production (RIP) and in the international productions (replica or non-replica versions). The West End cadenza on the other hand was mainly used in the London production and I also heard it in the US Tour and the Canadian production. It is my favorite one (along with Patti Cohenour's cadenza) and I hope it will return on West End as a regular thing.
Sorry for misspelling Dale Kristien's name :)
I love when the cadenza reprises the Hannibal theme like Claire Moore's but I love Dale Kristien one too
Sarah's version is my favorite.
Gina Becks cadenza was actually her last performance as Christine
Oh CC CC RSS
SAME
As
I’ll ex
Gina Beck straight up took hers from La Traviata, you can’t convince me otherwise
Sempre libera?
@@AnghelaMarey Exactly
omg,,,im kinda living for patti and terisa's
Me too :)
I forgot about the second Sara cadenza. Lovely.
Loved 1:59
Rest in peace Stephanie Lawrence
It surprises me that none goes up to the high tonic at the end...
Like if you know what I'm talking about😆
The first version ever sung was in the Sydmonton Festival Workshop in 1985 ruclips.net/video/aHMTHdJd5IQ/видео.html
There are also some interesting combinations, like Lucy St Louis' cadenza which is a mix of Emmi Rossum and Dale Kristien (ruclips.net/video/brfcfvHirJI/видео.html ), Julie Goodwin's cadenza with staccato and legato notes (ruclips.net/video/yjr0Lbn7OP0/видео.html ) and the cadenza in the last performance of the Polish production's first run (I think it's Kaja Mianowana, but I'm not sure), which imitates Carlotta's singing (ruclips.net/video/dcTE0a6ejkw/видео.html).
Beautiful 😍Dale’s was so gorgeous
Teresa’s sounds like a mixture of Patti’s and West End’s with a little twist near the end of it
Gina Beck Is a Cheeky!
Gina Becks Cadenza is epic! That girl is amazing!
I LIIIIIIVE FOR TERESA'S SHE KILLS THAT!!!!
Inger Olsen WOW
This is magnificent
Sarah Brightman's christine
I need to sing this for an exam in 2 weeks 😭
Sarah is the best
I was hyped to hear Beck since that's all the comments -- however she may have been my least favorite.
My favorite Rebecca Caine has always been my favorite Christine
The difference in costumes between the movie and all the other singers is strange the movie literally only has a white dress it doesn’t even make sence
Right. She looks more like the empress Elisabeth (Sissi) from Austria.
@@biancasmindpalace9024 apparently, that's the dress that inspired the costume. It IS very pretty, I just don't know how it even fits in with the opera that they're performing
My theory is that the script describes the scene as a "Gala" and they misunderstood the assignment
The movie is all over the place.
Sarah Brightman's second version is always my fav but her broadway on isnt that good.
However I dont hear any trills in the staccati of Rachel
Claire Moore WOW
nice!
