    Undoubtlly the hardest part about this is finding the right spots and people.

    • @bearnip
      @bearnip 9 лет назад +5

      Yeah every time I do some parkour in a public somebody is always you can't do that here. Do yourself a favor a go to a park that has a hiking trail,big open space, and lots of trees

    • @Anmeldn
      @Anmeldn 9 лет назад +4

      You can find most parkour groups on the internet, and they already know a few spots. But really finding spots on your own is hard and takes time.

    I still love this video after so many years. I still love the idea of training all sorts of different ways that are not specifically for certain "parkour moves". This is definitely one of my favorite inspiration videos for conditioning.

    You know those videos you always liked and keep coming back to it. This is the video really meant to be here on RUclips.
    I look like a bodybuilder but I was always encouraged by parkour and calisthenics athletes. But without you guys here I wouldn't ever know about the Farley's Husks. Really great video.

    @234sniper I didn't block the first strength training video. RUclips did, due to music copyright. I've swapped the soundtrack now for one of RUclips's own music tracks. It's nowhere near as good, but at least it's viewable again.

    @radioextremedj I've been practicing parkour for almost 7 years now. We started conditioning about 6 years ago when we realised the importance of strengthening the body to be able to withstand the strains and stresses of parkour over a sustained period of time.

  • @Obsidian1138
    @Obsidian1138  11 лет назад

    The first one was just called Strength Training for Parkour. It's still on RUclips, but the soundtrack has been muted unfortunately. Strength Training 3 will be here within the next 2 or 3 days anyway :)

  • @Obsidian1138
    @Obsidian1138  11 лет назад

    The exercises in this video are just suggestions. The goal with this kind of training is to challenge yourself and work on the areas you feel you need to improve. So, the number of repetitions and/or duration of each exercise is totally dependant on your own capabilities. If it's challenging, and you feel that you're benefiting from it, then it's good! We'll address the number of reps etc in the forthcoming Strength Training 3 ;)

    Hanging off the wall, climb ups, handstand push ups against the wall, traversing the wall. Also, the exercise shown in this video at 3:24. If you watch Strength Training and Conditioning for Parkour 3, you'll see a number of other upper body exercises which can be done with just a wall :)

  • @Obsidian1138
    @Obsidian1138  11 лет назад

    I'm glad you found the video useful.
    I can't put a timescale on your training, as it depends on your current level, and how much work you put in. You can never be 'great', as that suggests that there's no more room for improvement. Just try to be slightly better than you were the last time you trained, and you'll see a gradual improvement over time ;)
