For people who had a run-in with a serial killer, predator, killer, sadist, etc to those who escaped, ran away, got away, etc they lived to tell the tale and thank you for sharing. There are some people who never share their experiences. You escaped with your life and you are forever altered. I hate when he does that, or when Jamie puts something up and sidelines a story. At least Chris was able to tell the story, sometimes they never get back to what they were saying
That part about Bundy's face changing is interesting because others have said the same thing about him. His long-time girlfriend said they were rafting one day when he suddenly pushed her into the water and she almost drowned. She eventually managed to pull herself back up and just saw Ted sitting there with a blank expression on his face as if he wasn't really there. Others have also claimed that Bundy's eyes would go black when he was ready to kill. Crazy stuff.

He kept beeping his horn like he wanted her to pull over and followed her all the way to the nursing home where she worked. She was creeped out and did not stop until she got the the nursing home where she parked and quickly walked over to where other staff were. i worked at a luxury department store and at our coffee shop there was a guy who i always felt uncomfortable around. My coworkers had agreed that he had creepy vibes so I always kept my distance. A friend of mine decided to google him after an incident left her feeling like he was seriously off. Turns out he had just gotten out of jail after a 10 year sentence for raping and abusing several girls as young as 11. She contacted our security team and he was instantly fired and barred from the store. A few months later he strangled a 21 year old girl to death. Moral of the story: trust your gut about creepy men. better to be considered rude than be dead. also google people for yourself, not everyone does their due diligence.
Hey, maybe if you hadn't ruined his life by getting him fired for doing absolutely nothing...he wouldn't have gone and killed that 21 year old? Nice job.
You've got a great intuition. Most people don't..especially when it comes to reading people. Sometimes the only clue that someone is dangerous is that you just get a weird feeling about someone. That and abnormal eye contact...someone might be cool and charismatic..but if they hold their gaze a little too long..run for the hills. I was a nurse for inmates, those are the 2 things that I noticed.
Chris is the one of the best story tellers we have been graced with he’s fills in with jokes, side points and fun facts whilst maintaining the best hand signals. Absolutely love the bloke
I got solid one liners, charisma, humor, etc. But holy shit man, I CANNOT tell a story for shit. I thought my friends just had dog shit attention span, which they do, however, being a good story teller is a serious skill/talent.
After years of watching documentaries, the one on Netflix about Sons of Sam is one of the most compelling flick's I've ever seen. And something no one ever takes into account is, sometimes back then cops were either stupid or inept to investigate or downplay for reelection or budgeting. Or because they had nothing to answer for a serial killer. Without a doubt that was a cult killing.
Not really a serial killer documentary, but is a true crime documentary. Best documentary I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched it multiple times now. It is however incredibly angering and sad to watch though as well. But watch Dear Zachary. Beautifully done. Worth watching.
Just watched that documentary today. Absolutely mind boggling that case and the fact that Berkowitz is still alive he's 70 now, still in prison and apparently a Christian. Who knew ya know.
Y’all got it ALL WRONG. David Berkowitz is a SERIOUS CHRISTIAN and has been for awhile. He openly admits that he knew exactly what he was doing and that there was no voice or dog compelling him to kill. He chose to kill ALL those people. He’s not making any excuses so you guys must stop making excuses for him.
I live in Salt Lake city and worked at a Smiths grocery store with a man who almost caught Ted bundy. I forget the whole story but this man had worked for the store for a long time and one night he was asked to stop a customer who was leaving, he was later informed that the man was identified as Ted bundy.
My grandfather was one of Ted Bundy's psychologist when he was at the Utah state prison. He told me some crazy stories and he still has a bunch of the tests he gave him. There is a documentary coming out soon where he talks about it.
Went to rehab with an older lady who got away from Richard Ramirez. Rehab was in San Dimas, CA. He snuck in her bedroom window pinned her down as a teen in her bed and she screamed and her dad chased him outta the house. She kept saying in group circle time, “ His eyes were black!!!! The whites were black!!! His eyes were all black!!!!” Then she couldn’t stop crying. Scared the living $h!t outta me. She was a hot mess. I’m so glad she survived. 😭
Chris has a number of good qualities that not all comedians have. He's funny, he's an interesting guy and has the ability to convey stories in a clear and concise way without boring you. He doesn't have that certain comedian smugness that so many have. He's just that funny (normal) guy you'd like to hang with at a party and bullshit with.
Ted Bundy as a young dude worked at a crisis hotline in the night shift together with a middle aged female colleague who was an ex-cop and a true crime writer (before she met Bundy). She wrote "The Stranger Beside Me" about her time with Bundy. Fascinating book.
Speaking of a warped individual. He represented himself in court and was even commended on how good he did by the judge, except, "you went to the other side" before sentencing him to death.
Henry Lee Lucas didn't kill the vast majority of the victims he confessed to, but he was definitely a murderer - he killed his own mother, because she used to sexually humiliate him and send him to school dressed as a girl (you can expect to see a lot more of this in the next 10 years or so).
I forgot that Otis Toole, who was Henry Lee Lucas's alleged partner-in-crime and gay lover, was posthumously declared to be the murderer of Adam Walsh, John Walsh's son (of America's Most Wanted fame). I suspect that is B.S. as well. Toole's car was lost while in police custody, along with any hard evidence that he committed that crime. Who knows. Be careful out there. I also forgot that Henry Lee Lucas's mother used to force him to watch her have sex with strangers, which of course isn't psychologically healthy or normal. Sexualizing children is going to produce so many shivering shells of human beings that I honestly don't really care if a comet hits this planet. Children should be nurtured and protected, not used as blow-up dolls or unwitting voyeurs to maximize dopamine hits.
Any "parent" enabling such a m3nt@l iLln3$$ and acting as though it's NORMAL? AND SAFE? Deserves all the agony possible!! It's a serious form of munchausen by proxy if you ask me!! Irreversible lifelong mistakes!!! that only make the REAL underlying illness WORSE over time?!?! Real "loving" parents 🙄🤢🤮

My daughters great uncle lived near the Manson family. He told us a story about his girlfriend came over and said something about a dog in their yard that was outside with no food or water. Apparently it was the Manson families dog. They were going over with water and food for the dog and to bring it over and ask what's going on with the dog. The other neighbor saw them and started yelling at them saying don't go over there, it's dangerous and stay away from those people 🤷 they kept the dog and no one ever asked about it or said
When my friends husband was a kid living in California he and his dad were driving somewhere when their car broke down. They started walking to find help when they came upon the Manson family at Spahn ranch. The Manson family helped them get back on the road. This happened just before they committed the murders.

Crazy murderer link story. I grew up near Diamond Bar CA where the Nightstalker committed his last murder (or one of the last). My mom had the same reaction upon seeing the mugshot and always tells her story when he comes up on tv. She saw the Nightstalker at her bathroom window (daytime) as she got out of the shower. We had just moved into a newly developed suburb, which is adjacent to Diamond Bar (most eastern LA county), so there were no fences between houses yet. He was caught in East LA only a few days later. Stories like hers and Chris' mom's friend are so compelling because it makes you wonder how many potential victims got lucky.
I bet 100,000 horny women have the same exact story because they secretly want to be sodomized and brutalized like a submissive little murder victim by someone called “the night stalker”
What should also highlight is how many people where murdered that never went reported or were ever found.. you rarely here about the murders they were not convicted of..
Honestly I'm noy familiar with this guys comedy, but this was the second time I've listened to Chris on JRE and he seems like generally one of the nicest people you could meet.

i worked at a luxury department store and at our coffee shop there was a guy who i always felt uncomfortable around.
I don't understand why these crimes don't get a life sentence
@@radhiadeedou8286 *death sentence
Hey, maybe if you hadn't ruined his life by getting him fired for doing absolutely nothing...he wouldn't have gone and killed that 21 year old? Nice job.
What about creepy women? Any advice on those?
I dont know what show he was even talking about but him talking about it had me on the edge of my seat lmao
The stories about his dad warm muh heart.
Agreed I like his stories
Repent and believe in Jesus Christ ❤
I listen to the whole podcast of this episode! Dude was all positive until the “Jamie need a vacation “ part 😂
Not only was there no cult, but you don't know a damn thing about the case.
That girl went toe-to-toe with a young Teddy B. Respect.

Is that legal or nobody really cares?

The word is PREYING, not praying.
Literally I’m so scared
Same. So much so that i dreamt about it lol
The demons were in him obviously

Went to rehab with an older lady who got away from Richard Ramirez. Rehab was in San Dimas, CA. He snuck in her bedroom window pinned her down as a teen in her bed and she screamed and her dad chased him outta the house. She kept saying in group circle time, “ His eyes were black!!!! The whites were black!!! His eyes were all black!!!!” Then she couldn’t stop crying. Scared the living $h!t outta me. She was a hot mess. I’m so glad she survived. 😭

This was my favorite podcast of Joes in a long time. Chris seems like a really fun dude to hang out with.
Damn bro he ain’t gonna fuck you
One of the few that aren't completely insecure about how they look
Ye he’s actually a funny person not just good at constructing a script
Have you told your parents about your man-crush?
He’s corny and just makes up predictable stories. He’s Bert but healthier.
“ I wanna watch it again on smelling salts “🤣🤣
“Smelling salts” lol it’s called cocaine where I come from
Ted Bundy as a young dude worked at a crisis hotline in the night shift together with a middle aged female colleague who was an ex-cop and a true crime writer (before she met Bundy).
She wrote "The Stranger Beside Me" about her time with Bundy. Fascinating book.
Ann Rule, she was also a former Seattle police
Speaking of a warped individual. He represented himself in court and was even commended on how good he did by the judge, except, "you went to the other side" before sentencing him to death.
Imagine the Irony of that "Hello, thank you for calling the crisis hotline. Please don't kill yourself. . . . .I'll do it for you"
@@BattleBladeWarrior absolutely riveting and convenient at the same time, you can still get to heaven 😂
@@Danesir Haha, its true. He's the one guy on a crisis hotline that personally helps people find eternal happiness XD
Henry Lee Lucas didn't kill the vast majority of the victims he confessed to, but he was definitely a murderer - he killed his own mother, because she used to sexually humiliate him and send him to school dressed as a girl (you can expect to see a lot more of this in the next 10 years or so).
insightful call. Respect.
Truth!
Your user name name me… long pause… than intensely laugh out loud

Chris is a great storyteller, he always has an interesting or funny story to tell. 👏
Not only that but he described Black Bird perfectly without spoiling it too. Like if I try to describe a show people are left confused.
it is his job to do that
Chris is like my friends dad, same accent and wild stories
Good storytimes
That's was a hell of a podcast. Better ones I've seen lately
Chris distefano probably the best storyteller in comedy rn
I prefer Hannah Gadsby. She was raped, don't you know?
"Dude you wanna hear a wild story" must be the most common sentence in the history of this podcast

I found the murderer character completely unbelievable.
Diamond bar wow what a boring ass little city
I mean fuck man, with a lot of these guys, pretty much every one they looked at were potential victims, being in immediate vicinity is enough
I bet 100,000 horny women have the same exact story because they secretly want to be sodomized and brutalized like a submissive little murder victim by someone called “the night stalker”
@@idontcare2851that’s crazy. He just passed away a few years ago
What should also highlight is how many people where murdered that never went reported or were ever found.. you rarely here about the murders they were not convicted of..
