NOTE: Some interactions / dialogue (like with Freyja after the final boss in Belurat) only happen if you summon them for the boss fight. If you want to play it safe, summon NPCs for boss fights whenever you are given the option.

@@DrJones0801 right there with you! I have two characters where I used his base game walk through, and completed the dlc on one by self exploring, but saving my first character for this walk through so I catch everything I missed (so not ready to repeat that final boss however 💀😂)

Fun fact: if you use either the Shackle of Mohg or the Shackle of Margit near the sealed spirit springs they'll automatically open up without needing to find the stones.

While you don't need to, saving the final boss fight of the base game campaign until after beating the DLC is incredibly satisfying from a story perspective. Because by that point, especially if you've defeated all shard/great rune bearers, you have eliminated all opposition to your ascent to Elden Lord and dismantled Marika's legacy nearly completely.
I don’t know if I’d still have energy for the final boss after prime Radahn 😂
@@averyharley2197 tbh i just started the game about a month ago, did the base game sans elden beast, then followed with the DLC. Following consort radahn, went and did Elden Beaat and it was super underwhelming as I felt way too OP.

Oh my god thank you thank you thank you. I have bad OCD and need to complete all NPC quests in order to feel satisfied with the game. I've been waiting for this guide and per usual you did not dissapoint. You are my favorite RUclipsr ever.
If it hasn't been mentioned yet, the 7th Forager book is still obtainable after approaching the castle and breaking the seal/charm. In my game I had already entered the Shadow Keep and had cleared it all the way up to the site of grace just before the Messmer boss fight. At this point I left, collected a handful of the Forager books I did not yet have, and then returned to Moore. He presented me with the "move on" and "be sad" options. I told him to be sad. He completed that dialog and then continued with "by the way..." and he gave me the 7th book. After that I reloaded a few times and he was gone, moved to his final position with the cold Forager.

Yes it seems you can still get the 7th cookbook after breaking the great rune. However, you must get the 4th book before speaking to him / telling him to be sad (or I think even move on). It’s just that if you talked to him so that he’s already disappeared and you haven’t gotten the 7th book then you are locked out. Better off not risking it and just do it before breaking the rune. But it’s nice to see at last chance mechanic for those that already broke the rune.
I always love how these guides casually tell you to just kill the enemy, an enemy that proceeds to absolutely destroy you for a couple of hours while you chip 1/150,000 of it's health off with each hit.

Thanks so much for looking out for the arachnophobes. I had no idea the scorpion spiders existed and nearly had a heart attack when I saw them in the video. That was just on my phone… I can’t imagine how I would’ve reacted if I’d gone in blind on my tv

I get it. I am not an arachnophobe myself, but I definitely understand why someone would be. I had a spider crawl on my foot once (was wearing a sock) and totally froze up.
Luckily they are not super common (they show up in 3-4 small areas) but fortunately there is not a whole dungeon dedicated to them (at least not in anything covered in this series!)
Also, I always make sure to warn about them.
@@ItsShatter It’s such a weird fear. Never been scared of much else, but the second anything spider adjacent appears I just wanna curl up into a ball. Those fingercreeper enemies do it for me too, but I’m not sure if that has more to do with how terrifying they are from a design aspect than them being like spiders. Either way, thanks again! Your vids are always incredibly helpful

I wish I waited until playing the dlc to get these extra npc interactions and quests. I’m sure that I can still do most of the quests but I think one or two are considered failed. At least this guide was able to help me get all the other collectibles.

Well damn, while every video i saw warned that getting closer to shadow keep will progress the time, you are the only one who said anything about Jagged Peak, and so i already went there and now that i checked Moore is not on his spot to give me the 7th book and im waiting for part 2 so i know what else i will miss.
