Kong is like the Batman of the MonsterVerse. True, he’s not the most powerful titan. But he makes up for it by being smart, strategic, and resourceful. Which in a way makes him powerful and why even beings like Godzilla see him as a threat. Plus by ape titan standards Kong is about as powerful as they can get. I believe it’s said that he is the largest ape kaiju ever to exist in the MonsterVerse.

I have a few questions about Prime vs. Kong, and I hope you can answer them.
First off, with the Ghidorah statement, would that mean she scales to Ghidorah in a impressive way or not?
Second off, it was stated that the beast glove is made out of MG’s parts-the same parts that were said to shatter when Prime uses her sonic roar. Would the beast glove be as useless as the axe when Prime uses her roar? Or would her EMP be enough to shut the gauntlet down completely?
Who has more durability? Prime's durability is a bit unclear to me since she just tanked G14's blows, and her armor was stated to be unbreakable. Is she significantly more durable, or is the power gap in durability not that far apart?
In conclusion, when the sonic roar destroys the glove and axe, Kong wouldn’t stand a chance, right? The only advantage he has is speed but won’t be enough to beat Prime.
Yes, Ghidorah's the strongest enemy Godzilla's faced in the Monsterverse, a notion stated even till last year. Another Ghidorah level opponent is by no means downplay.
2. The Prime doesn't have an EMP. As for shattering the glove, that is possible, though it seems to be a last minute technique.
3. I would say Prime is more durable, Kong bleeds to Godzilla's claws and teeth just fine, though the gauntlet is stated and shown to take bites Kong cannot

Do you think that the muto prime could turn off the beast glove with the emp that g14 confirms that they emit emp at all times. So she could destroy the axe, and since the glove may either work on electricity or hollow earth every, but the mutos are still able to affect hollow earth energy since they affect godzilla?

I think that what makes Kong a bit "weaker" is that technically he's just a big animal, not some force of nature, if Kong gets wounded he doesn't regenerate or use weird powers, he has to heal like a normal animal, which is actually what I like about him, the "limit" he has makes him more relatable kinda, like, if Godzilla gets wounded just nuke him, if Kong is badly hurt you actually worry for him and could even question if he's gonna make it alive (plot armor aside of course, I'm talking "realistically")
MV kong does have a minor healing factor like most titans, though. Just sayin'.
Monsterverse Kong has a healing factor, we've seen him recover quickly from injuries in Kong Skull Island and GvK, he's just not immortal, in fact neither is Godzilla.

so in the Hong Kong fight between Kong and Godzilla I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that fight lasted around 8 to 12 hours and if you can last that long in a fight your durability would most likely take a hit, and fighting the best of the best for 8 to 12 hours and losing shouldn't mean that Kong sucks it just means that he's not the best also I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the director said not to take what he said about Godzilla toying with Kong to seriously he also stated that the fight in Egypt wasn't really a fight which to me makes sense because Kong needed Godzilla's help so why would he fight him and I'm pretty sure the Godzilla in GVK was the strongest he's ever been up to that point but all in all I don't think Kong is overrated. (don't ask for my sources btw because these were all from either watching the movie or seeing a video where they talk about it and they sight there sources so all the information I said could be wrong.

Honestly even in close combat I doubt that Kong without the CHARGED axe can really do much to mechagodzilla. Kongs got two limbs for hitting opponents, Mecha has three
On top of that it almost seemed like the Mech itself was also playing with kong since it didn't bother to use any of its weapons and was able to physically overpower godzilla during their fight who at the time was at half strength which would still make godzilla at that time physically stronger than kong who was also half-strength per the artbook.
Question, and this is something I got into a debate with some other people in the World of Monsters discord but in the final battle of GxK we see that while Skar king runs from godzillas spiral breath that godzilla actually hits the crystal that skar uses to control shimo and it doesn't break but then suko comes in and uses the axe (presumably charged by the hollow earth portal since godzilladidn't charge it) to destroy the crystal, I wanna hear your thoughts on this.
I still think kong with the axe and the glove can defeat Godzilla 2021 and maybe Godzilla 2014 just because he actually can counter Godzilla,since you know his busted up punches were able to knock evolved Godzilla off his feet and even daze him, and the axe you know ... can cut Godzilla and absorb his beam,and while the glove is made up from pieces of mecha,i guess that theres more to that than it meets the eye, Godzilla tore tiamat into pieces with his jaws,but didn't Scratch the Paint of the glove, probably made with pieces of a heave since its in the hollow earth,and that can probably explain the durability of the glove that seems way beyond mecha,the pression resistance of the heave along with the resistence to blunt attacks thanks to mechas alloy might explain it, while i know a Godzilla on his best days would outclass kong,i wont stop loving kong due to some Godzilla fans that have minds like (oh Godzilla can beat your monster so he suck, to these people one question,if a monster beats up Godzilla in the screen does that mean he suck aswell?) kong was my First monster,and i love him to heart

He was playing with Kong until Kong hit him in the head with the axe knocking him and Kong backwards.
That moment is when Godzilla got ready to kill Kong and beat him.
After he calmed down,he roars at Kong and then spares him.
Godzilla was not playing. Adam Wingard said he was joking when he said Godzilla was toying with Kong. And Kong can definitely beat Godzilla, it's just that Godzilla wins most of the time.

Good job and here is my opinion on how Kong was written in the film. Kong losing to Godzilla in GVK didn't bother me. But what really bothered me was how Adam made him such a push over. Kong gets treated horribly by the humans, can't break his chains despite the fact that it's one of his most signature abilities, has to get saved constantly, can't lift Godzilla like in the original, and gets destroyed by Godzilla in both fights who is already a big Mary Sue in the Monsterverse. Kong is pretty much written to be a weak wimp to make Godzilla look good. That's awful writing because in the original film he's supposed to be an equal to Godzilla. Honestly, I feel the Monsterverse would be more original and interesting if it was just a King Kong series with Kong and all the original Kaiju because Kong has never been given a chance to be a full-fledged Kaiju sized monster on his own without being cross over with Godzilla and I think he deserves a chance to be that way since he has the great characterization to back it up and I don't care if I get hate for saying this.
Well he wasn't equal in the original-he lost pretty badly until he got the lightning powers which let him match Godzilla.
Still, I agree Kong being this much weaker than Godzilla is bad for them to have a whole movie on just their fight.

Please for the love of god, it’s not a “gill shot”. Watch it frame by frame. Kong jabs the small cut on Godzilla’s head from the axe whack. It states as much in the novel. I do only have the Japanese version of the book but you can clearly see the cut. If anything it’s probably worse than a gill shot because it’s a barely closed scabby wound.

There is something really big that you have missed, and this is his scaling to evolved Godzilla.
Blue thermo Godzilla is confirmed to be nearly as powerful as thermo, Godzilla then kills Tiamat which would get him easily passed thermo due to how powerful Tiamat is.
So based evolved Godzilla > thermo. Kong was able to stun and daze evolved Godzilla who upscales thermo, kong can also shrug off stomps from evolved Godzilla.
This scaling puts him far above ghidorah as an amped ghidorah got no diffed by thermo who is weaker than evolved or at the very least comparable with evolved Godzilla and kong was performing much better.
Ghidorah also couldn’t damage thermo and his entire chest got crushed with a step, not even a stomp, a step.
Kong was able to deal more damage to a stronger Godzilla and take attacks much better from said Godzilla.
I should mention that only GxK kong scales this high, GvK kong gets slaughtered by ghidorah, kong just got a lot more powerful between movies which actually makes him more comparable to thermo than he is to ghidorah, although thermo obviously wins.
Whether kong is overrated is questionable.
Kong is overrated by many who try and out him onto evolved Godzilla’s level, which he is just clearly not.
However, kong is severely underrated by the rest of the community.
So in short, kong isn’t overrated, he’s underrated.

Honestly, Kong overall being weaker than the big names of the verse like mothra, Rodan, goji, Ghido, Shimo, etc makes him more interesting. Like he’s physically stronger than mothra but she has better abilities overall, which he needs to use his brain to work around. As for Godzilla it’s the opposite barring abilities, which he can learn to use his superior speed and brains to craft and use weapons to help him fight goji and the other titans. Him being below these fellas isn’t a bad thing, and it can make his dynamics with other titans very interesting if done right. I love Godzilla to death, but I do respect Kong and always saw his weaker status in a verse as a way to expand his character and make him interesting combat wise. Don’t take it as a bad thing Kong fans, take it as a way to make your goat cooler!

Just remember Godzilla in 2014 was more focused towards realism, until the later movies were more fun the dark. The more fun caused Godzilla to be a way faster and stronger character.
