Hey guys, give Rich a like and sub. Vids of this caliber are a TON of work.
I alway stop what i’m doing to immediately click on your new vids & save them to watch again on TV.

Haha thanks so much Billy! Glad to hear you two and enjoy!! I hope you are on a bite 🎣
Literally you are the best person to watch. When it comes to saltwater fishing you are the G.O.A.T!! TY as always for posting

Awesome content once again. Stayed at the Kingsail as a kid every time my family brought me to marathon.
Funny you should be there Rich,, Marathon & Islamorada are my absolute 2 favorite keys for fishing.
Yeah they are both awesome places!!
Great video. Good fishing and several excellent catches. Appreciate how you look after your fishing buddies. Thanks.
Thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed!!

Thank you sir!!
Haha thanks so much!! I still have a lot to learn so probably not the best but I’m getting there. Tight Lines! 🤙🏻🎣
hell yeah. get it! Some of the best post production fishing youtube out there
Hahaha thanks so much!!!
Great job at chumming the spectator waters! I'm hungry for the next chapter! 😉♥
Hahaha 🤣 the next two episodes are much more productive!!
Great segment Rich, nice grouper
Thanks so much!! I get some much bigger ones in the next two vids.
@@FishAholicTV I look forward to seeing them.
Now I have to see the next video!
Hahaha glad to hear!! Working on it!
those were some nice throws with the net, you should do a cast net tutorial on a rainy day, hardest working guy on youtube, you rock man
Ok I can try and make that happen.
God job guys👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much 🎣
Those pancakes! Finally started being able to do that myself but it took some practice. You should do a little how to on throwing those cast nets.
Haha thanks! Same for me. It took some practice. I can make a video
Always great to see the manatees. A little footage of them from the go pro underwater would be great.
Presumably, to catch one you need a really big hook baited with a cabbage or maybe a couple of broccoli heads?
Haha they must tug pretty good 😂 they don’t seem to smart in that canal. There were two three other times I almost hit them. They were all over the place
Does the waders come in a smaller size? Dope video bro keep it up
I believe they do. Thanks so much!!
Great tip on the stay....is March good time down there?
It can be but I would say April and May is way better! Weather is more consistent and the water temperature
Does not surprise me at all that you found the fish for the second day. Great fishing my friend.
Days 3 and 4 were the best days!! Working on those videos now!!

Great video, love the Keys. How long was your room rental. I would love to do the same trip at some point.
Is the accommodation kayak friendly as well.
Thanks so much! We stayed for 4 days. There is a boat ramp right there on the property and they have kayaks free to use. Or you could launch your own.
Great video, you have definitely stepped up your game brother. Where can I buy a FishAholic hat? May I suggest you try between Ohio, Bahia channel 1.5 hours before tide change, until 1.5 hours after. Tight lines.
Thanks so much!! I’m back in the Keys since last night and thanks so much for the tips! Also right below the video if you pull it up on your phone you can see some shirts and hoodies on my tspring sight. You can hats there. Or check out fishfishaholic.com 🤙🏻 Tight Lines!
Rich would you consider a vid that shows technique for throwing net, spooling up with mono backing and the (double uni..i think that’s what you use?) Just things like that would probably be helpful and appreciated by your viewers.
Tight lines !🤙🏼
all of these are readily available online dawg
Yeah I can do that for sure!
Thanks so much for watching! Tight Lines!!
Good cast netting video: ruclips.net/video/eTSG6xz4YMQ/видео.htmlsi=M5mZqXhr_NjWbYSM
Hey Rich, please do a short on your technique with a castnet when you get time. Pancakes every time! I get pancakes like half the time
Hahaha sounds good 👌🏻
That tube was tangling near the motor starboard had me nervous!!!
Haha yeah I was keeping a close eye on it. That was a lot of line!!
That's where we stay each year. It's convenient place, just not the best view or clean clear water in that canal.
Nice, and yeah for sure it’s not the cleanest but it is nice in its own way!
Thanks for your absolutely great content. Always making my day since years. Greetings from Germany 🎣
Thanks so much and I’m glad that you really enjoyed!!!
Love the channel. What size net do you throw from the yak?
Thanks!! Generally 8ft and smaller!
17:17 where did you get your pliers?
Hey Rich is the Sunset Grill still at the beginning of the bridge in Marathon ??? If so it’s a great place to eat and drink and watch tarpon at the end of the pier at night ..
Yeah that place is still there and I’ve been there a couple times. It’s nice!
@@FishAholicTV copy all…Marathon is a nice area to stay in…enjoy yourself..take care…
Dude, you said you would put a link for the place you stayed at. I don't see it. Thinking of booking a trip to Florida with family. Just wanted to check it out. How many nights did you stay and what's included in the package? By the way, love your videos and dedication to fishing. You are a true fisherman. How can we find out about your guide package and cost?
it’s Coconut Cay Resort in Marathon. Thanks so much for watching! Check out fishfishaholiccharters.com for my rates for a charter. Hopefully talk to you soon!
Thanks for the video. Do you sell hats with your logo on it?
Thanks so much!! I do through a third party service but I’m working on some really good new and improved hats. I’ll start posting about them when they are ready!
@@FishAholicTV Thank you. Please keep us updated. Your logo captures the feeling of fishing!
Take me fishing bro
One day soon it can happen haha. Might do a charter giveaway soon. Need to plan it out.
Nice net throwing!
You need a bigger boat...
Hahaha thanks and maybe one day
What is the purpose of having a 20’ leader? Seems very inconvenient when you have the fish at the boat and have to hand line 20’ of line in with a fish on the other end. Honest questions. I’m sure there’s a good reason for it.
The fish are extremely line shy because the water is like 50ft visibility or more. Mutton snapper are very line shy and I was kinda more hoping for that out of all of the snapper.
Just found a new weight line clip so now I can make my leaders and wind on by attaching the braid and leader with an fg knot! Then at the end before the hook I’ll tie on a small swivel then 10 more ft and then the hook. When I let the leader out. By the leader knot I’ll just clip the weight on. Then when I’m fighting a fish as soon as that comes up I un-clip the weight and reel the leader on.
WHY AM I SO EARLY
Not early, LATE! 😊
Never to early haha. Tight Lines! I hope you are catching!
The keys are beautiful!
Haha yeah you know it!! One of my favorite places to fish
Makes me wonder how much more mine is floating out in the keys. Messed up
Probably aaaaa lot sadly.
Put a chum bad off the back of the boat and chum them yellowtails up.
Oh ok I’ll try that next time!!!
fish
Dude anytime your down this way. I'd you need a roadie I'll chip in for gas. I'm on Marco Island. I'm inshore fishing via kayak.
Haha sounds good! Marco island is cool!.
@FishAholicTV come down you can crash on my couch lol
7 min of ad plugs to start lol
Great video Rich. By the way, did you get married? Don't know if I missed anything.
Thanks so much and yes I did!!
First one here 🤟
Thanks so much! I hope you are on a bite 🎣
First baby
Thanks so much!! Are you catching some fish? 🎣
@@FishAholicTV Yessir finally warming up here in the Midwest
@@FishAholicTVHeading down to Bonita Springs in May, hopefully get on some saltwater hogs💪
Rich I have a google earth file I can email you with inshore spots near Marathon and Big pine area if u want? Good luck
Hey John, that would be awesome but I like to kinda earn it on my own. I love the challenge and the rewarding feeling of finding and patterning the fish. Thanks so much for the offer!!
@@FishAholicTV You just made me ten bucks. I bet my buddy you would refuse free spots as you want to earn them. Keep up the good work.
Rich great seeing you and Mike, glad we were able to put this trip together last minute. Apologies for all foul language you had to edit out😂
Hahaha likewise Tom and all good it was a fun trip!!
Please start doing Matthew McConaughey imitations. You look and sound just like him. I grew up watching Bill Dance. Your show is so much better.
Hahaha 🤣 sounds good
Why do you grab the line and real it in that way?? Let the guy reel it in ..
The leader is 30ft and has a sinker and barrel swivel attached to the main line. Therefore he can’t reel it in all the way to the boat. I’m assisting by hand lining it up.
Those were nice looking clothes.
You might be getting carried away withe length of your leaders. You lost at least a couple fish with that hand retrieval method. You asked for comments, so, please, don't be insulted. Five to ten feet of leader is plenty.
When I first moved down here to florida I use to fish 5 to 10ft leaders all the time and I caught way less fish. I got some local advice to fish a minimum of 25 to 30ft for mutton snapper so I generally kinda start there. I was hoping to get mutton snapper over any other species. But yeah for Yellowtail and mangrove you can use much shorter leaders. Don’t worry I’m not insulted haha. Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope you are on a bite!
@@FishAholicTVlonger leader is the way to go. Up the amount of fish you hook big time. I fish the Florida key’s frequently and longer leader is definitely a must.
That "grunt" looked more like a pig fish aka sailors choice.
Haha yeah it could have been.
