1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 clove garlic (lightly smashed)
Black pepper sauce

20g (0.71oz) unsalted butter
1 tablespoon coarse black pepper
1/3 chicken stock cube
1 tablespoon plain flour
200ml (6.76 fl oz) water
Mashed potato
---------------
300g (10.59oz) potatoes
20g (0.71oz) unsalted butter

Haha waiting for your bangers and mash or lamb chops and mash with over cooked salted veg recipe that many Australians grew up on. Meat and three veg as it's known. Familiarity in any cuisine wears thin I guess. What would be a bland mid week meal back then is now a nostalgic visit of comfort. Would love to know the Singaporean equivalents.
i usually make the sauce using the leftover oil after frying the chops. adds somemore aroma to it.

Ur mash potatoes didn't become slightly gooey or chewy?
All good except for the potatoes.. just use a fork so that it maintains some body... potatoes in a blender can easily and very quickly turn to 'baby food' depending on the potato.
Body potatoes and creamy potatoes taste different. Give me creamy all day long. If I get lazy I use a fork or masher and call them my special potatoes. I use a ricer or food processor for creamy. One thing I have to say is a food processor can make them gummy if left to long. I’m a chef ❤
But he needs to sale for MagicMix. 🤣
If using a food processor for the potatoes, DO NOT mix for too long or you will end up with glue.

Note to self : made this yesterday and followed exactly the recipe, the sauce was rather bland (very unsalty)...dont be tempted to add more salt cost the chicken chop is very savoury...hence when both combined its just nice!
