    The fucking goat man I love you kern 417 bro. I swear it’s like you’re reading my mind every time you make a post. I’m gonna be sending you a log on boot mod from a tune from my Tuner so you can tell me if he knows what he’s doing or not. Lol😅

    You missed description of much more important parameters like "Load" and "Relative Air Filling"...

    Love this!! Thanks man, trying to figure out why my car is stuttering badly and running super rich. massive turbo lag like it’s running a big turbo. How is timing supposed to be at idle? Could you explain how parameters are supposed to look at idle?

    Quick questions would you be able to look at some logs for a F10 N55 or you only focus on B58's?

    hey kern. what would be a tell tail sign of a high pressure fuel pump crash when looking at a datalog? i was datalogging and breaking up a lot near redline and when shifting into 6th got a drivetrain malfunction. i think i experienced a hpfp crash but im not sure how to confirm what im seeing in my datalog. let me know thanks!

    • @ProducaGraham
      @ProducaGraham Месяц назад +1

      If your hpfp is crashing you either need to stop requesting such high boost or upgrade the lpfp/hpfp

    In the previous video (Guide to data log your BMW) you gave a list with logging parameters, but I cannot find 'knock detected' in my MHD for E-series N55. Any idea?
    Can you explain more about detecting knock?

    • @Dutch79
      @Dutch79 2 месяца назад

      Is it even possible to detect knock or misfires through data logging? Seems pretty important to me.

    Stupid question but whats the best gear to do a pull in for a log? ZF8

    Great vid. I'd appreciate your comment.
    B58 gen1 6mt on MHD OTS STAGE 2 98RON : AFR all good during pull but on 3rd gear 4000-6000 rpm rail pressure mean 1 dips down to 2450 and slowly recoveres to 2850-2900 ( on target and exceeds it upwards 3500+ psi at 7000 rpm sometimes).
    Feels all good but no clue what it could be as its not crashing my hpfp stock one and ive read could be acceptable down to 2600 :(
    4th gear deviation in pressure around 150psi max nothing like 3rd gear

    • @nickmarsden8129
      @nickmarsden8129 2 месяца назад

      Dips like that are generally fine, not ideal but won’t break anything. It’s 99.9% an issue with the tune. A lot of OTS tunes I’ve noticed lately are very aggressive, from looking at people’s logs, building too much boost down low and overwhelming HPFP. Since the stock turbo spools so fast, I’ve seen logs with peak boost hitting 24PSI at 3500rpms which will absolutely crash even TU pump and dorch S1 if (depends on E content). Best solution is to get a custom tune that tapers that boost in, in laymen’s terms: as RPM increase your HPFP can handle more boost w/o crashing. But it doesn’t look like OTS maps are tapering, from what I can see.

    • @nickmarsden8129
      @nickmarsden8129 2 месяца назад

      Also…forgot to add…stock turbo runs out of steam quickly up high, so that 24PSI will drop to maybe 18.5-19.5 at 6500rpm. So that, along with the fact that the HPFP is more capable of more flow at higher RPM, is it recovers and overshoots a bit
