There getting nuts at shearwater, 1100 euro for a tiny wrist dive computer. These are Rolex prices for old men. . I was hoping that they where making a 500 euro computer with 14500 cell. I'm loosing faith in Shearwater. Goodbye Shearwater, Hello open source Heinrichs Weikamp OSTC . I was saving for a shearwater but no thanks. Im done.
Mate, get a PERDIX. It is cheaper, big screen and use one simple AA battery. If you are a Tech Diver, thats the one ! This TERIC what I didn´t liked you need to send it to Shearwater after 5 years to replace the battery. They should made it the owner changes battery as usual. Cheers,
Wish you had announced it a little earlier. The perdix and the Oci were my top picks but I opted for the OCi since I liked the watch look, both were easy to use, I liked the perdix compass better, but I liked the OCi alerts better. I just bought my OCi last month. I probably would have got the Teric instead had I known since it fixes all my little nit picks with the perdix ai. Oh well, if it floods I know what I am buying next. Hopefully you have a screen protector in the works. I know you shouldn't need it with the sapphire glass but most of my watches take that as a challenge and usually lose at some point. I love the buttons on this, I noticed how the icon changed so you always know what the buttons do as you jump between modes. Plus it seemed to jump between menus incredibly fast. Looks like you have a winner.
Not an issue and bezel is alloy bonded to a sapphire crystal. Shearwater products are tough as nails, and their customer support is one of the best in the business.
Sounds bad, but in practice it's not an issue, because that's 60 hours of "on" use. If you use as daily wristwatch, you place on charger at night; same with dive trip. In "off" mode the charge will last much longer. I've used a Perdix AI for the last 4 years, and my girlfriend just bought this. I'll tell you this is amazing; bright and informative. Shearwater is the chosen brand of the best Rebreather manufacturers (REVO/Megaladon/Kiss/JJ and that speaks volumes.
If all reviews could be like yours...
Great video
Thx
It looks great ! I have a PERDIX and very happy with it. I prefer bigger screen for tech diving mostly. But a watch like this will be awesome.

It would be great that you built a Perdix with audible and vibrating alarms. That would be awesome!!. Though ....this watch is great.
make a vid of the new gold one. want to see how it looks on the hand
my new teric has a month and cant charger to 100% the maximum is only 78% and the battery is running very fast, what should i do
Why everytime i when for a dive the GTR is always off, is there any way to activate it?
Wish it had smart/fitness watch features like Descent has, otherwise doesnt make sense to wear it as a watch :( Next gen maybe?
Just got mine and its Beautiful, is VPM a possibility?
Hello Clive, I am sorry but at present we are not offering VPM as an optional algorithm on Teric. Perhaps in the future, but it's not yet decided.
So the Teric is rated to 200m, but my on has gone to 210m based on the factory run - does that invalidate the guarantee?
Hello Micheal,
It is only guaranteed up to 200m, we test them deeper than that, and it does not invalidate the guarantee.
Awesome !!!!
am gonna get mine soon
Saving up ;)
I am a little confused about the integration of Teric to sky diving shared in previous video. Can anyone answer me
The scene was meant to be just another active lifestyle shot like hiking with your dog. There is currently no altimeter functionality in the Teric.
Shearwater Research Inc. can that feature be added later to the watch with software
My latest luv tools...
wish dive computers were not so expensive
You can get a dive computer for 179$
I’ve heard from two of the instructors at my dive shop that Shearwater Research is going out of business. Is this true or just a rumor?
No, quite the reverse. We are not going out of business and we are hiring.
I have been diving 8 years never heard open circuit /closed circuit wtf is that?
Michael R. Christenbury ahhhh yes makes seance now
Rebreather...get educated
and again made of plastic , not so smart

Nice but 500 USD to expensive ( it cost almost 1000 USD👎)
swedendive you get what you pay for. All shearwater stuff is both quality and expensive
Too you mean, you don’t have to buy a Ferrai either....
