    • @heroedeleyenda05
      @heroedeleyenda05 5 месяцев назад

I agree that he should do more budget friendly devices. but i think he should still only stick to the ones that really stand out from the rest.
which is what he does right now.
you've got this, he did one on the pocophone f1, he reviewed the mpow headphones.
those are devices that really have something that differentiate them from other budget tech.
so he does review budget tech, but he is more selective. i think instead of doing 1 or 2 budget devices each year, he should do 5 or 6.
but he needs to still stay selective.
there are great channels that do high quality reviews of budget tech. i used to follow a couple, back when i was going trough a financial rough patch, and couldnt afford premium phones that werent 4 years old.
but to be honest, when you can afford premium tech, the budget options are not an option anymore. because you give up a lot of things when you go budget.
the cameras always suck, screen quality sucks, processor speed sucks, and you start to appreciate the premium stuff again.
but there is a need for low budget tech when you're counting every dollar you make. but once youre back on your feet, all the budget tech blends together.
dont get me wrong, i still enjoy a great deal on a low budget item. but it has to really stand out from the rest. just like mpow headphones did back before they got cancelled.
the pocophone f1 was a great budget device with premium features, but a tech item, has to be at that level of price advantage for me to even consider it anymore.
if I want something cheap, i just look for a used premium item that is 1 or 2 years old.

I'm still using a smartwatch cost me $9 to provide all these features, obviously Chinese for 1.5 years now! The best thing about cheap tech is you don't care much about its aesthetic and beauty and can use it rough.
For the use case, I get at least 7-9 days on a single charge. Although I wear it roughly 2 hours a day, it's always on. It connects extremely well with other devices. And I think that's the best use case - to control with your watch ~ like phone notifications, cutting a call (still don't know why Apple doesn't allow people to cut their phones if the phone is locked), changing music, and the step counter.

I would like to make one suggestion: Could it be possible for you to include a low budget category in the next smartphone awards? For example below $250. I like the value category, but feel like it would be a great addition to the video. Partly because I own a phone within this category and probably the next one will also be similar. However, mainly because worldwide it is a very important segment in my opinion as most people do not have a lot of money and like to have a smartphone. For example in Asia, the below $250 segment makes up a very significant percentage of the total smartphone market.

Hey @mkbhd, I've been a fan for a while, but I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with this video. I dropped a more detailed comment on your $169 phone video too. I respect your position as one of the top tech reviewers globally, but there seems to be a gap in your understanding of affordable devices, especially those used by people daily in places like India.
It would be fantastic to see you explore tech from different parts of the world, especially considering the remarkable yet budget-friendly devices available here. India, for instance, has some hidden gems that surpass the quality of what's featured in your recent video and are more pocket-friendly.
I understand you might focus on devices readily available in the U.S., but broadening your horizons could bring a fresh perspective to your reviews. Moreover, your take on EVs in a previous video left me wanting more. There's an impressive EV scene in India that's worth exploring, showcasing innovation and quality that might surprise you.
Come experience it for yourself; the love you'll get from the people here is unmatched. I'm confident that exploring tech beyond the U.S. market will provide a richer perspective for your audience. Looking forward to more diverse content from your channel!

You know enough about these products to tell me, someone who knows nothing, that this is not an inexpensive version of THIS type smart watch, and explained that there are really different tiers of smart watches. I didn't really realize that. I thought there were smart watches and then, maybe, watches that do smart things. I didn't really realize there are cheaper, less feature rich, but still good smart watches. Good to know, thanks.

Hi you are my go-to person when I am checking out Tech so thank you, I am getting rid of my Apple watch, I just do not use all of its features, all I need it step tracking- Blood Oxygen - sleep- heart rate- did like the Fall Detection ( I am 65 ) don't want to wear one of the I have falling things. It would be nice if there was a tracker on there for my kids, that was a good thing about Apple. I would like to not spend more than 150.00 to 200 tops, could you tell me a good one? thanks

I recently got an Apple Watch Ultra clone from AliExpress for $10 and it had a much better metal body with Apple-like finish, much smaller screen bezels and wireless charging. Everything else like the UI, sensors etc sucked but the build quality was surprisingly good.

Every tech guru is raving about Amazon's AMK33X, but I'm here just trying to understand the basics.

Thanks for the excellent review. It seems less is more and more people should consider it. Personally I like the "nothing" simplicity.

I need the basic functionality in a smartwatch/smartband but would also like the ability to pay with it. Of course there are many of the cheap ones that have that function but how much can I trust with my bank details in such a watch? Would like to see if you could find a budget friendly smart wearable with nfc pay that is kinda trusted.

Smart to understand Amazon's AMK33X early, like Marques did.

I think a big win for this CMF watch compared to other budget watches (if the spec list is accurate) is that it has GPS built-in which is a deal breaker for me.
I'm in the uk and can't seem to find anywhere to buy it.
Ive been using the Amazfit Bip S for a few years now and its feature rich and looks better that the CMF. Im probably going to upgrade to the Bip 3 for £69 and looks to outclass the CMF in my opinion.

Yeah, that surprised me too. I like to keep GPS off on my phone except when I need it (mostly) to save battery life. So if I can do that and still have location function for the watch that would be cool. But I have a strong suspicion that the CMF app will ask / nag me about / or even insist that I also turn location on on my phone to use most location functions. That's the way these things usually work for whatever reason.

You could try mi band 8, its cheaper and has a nicer display (AMOLED, 60hz) and it runs and feels a lot smoother plus the battery is pretty good, 1 to 2 weeks it depends on how much you use it.

    • @markmywords3817
      @markmywords3817 5 месяцев назад +1

What's off putting about the mi band is the oval display. I've had the 3, 5 and 7 and the 3 has the best battery life (because it was a dot display).
I mostly used them for tracking my heart rate during workouts.
It was a good first smartwatch if you haven't had one but after a while I wanted a larger screen, so I went for budget ones that had that and so far it's got most of the same features as in this video.
You want accessories just do enough basic stuff and get out of your way. For me, I don't need my watch to replace my phone and distract me more easily.

@@markmywords3817 Same here I even wear them when I go for a swim and had no problems thus so far, didn't expect that for a product of this price.
I had the 6 and now the 8, switched to 8 because its a lot smoother, and for the oval display me personally I love it because its slick, and it doesn't stick out when I wear it in public.

I bought the apple watch ultra 2 a few weeks ago. Returned it. It was impressively uncomfortable. That sensor housing in the back of the watch dug in to my wrist. I loosened it, but it got unbearable. Even a week after i returned it, i still had a dull pain in my wrist from it. Such a shame because i liked the watch itself and also looked great

He defended the company from what? He's right. But I don't believe OP ever owned an ultra 2. Most likely someone trolling because they can afford it. Either that or weak wrist.
Apple doesn't need any defending over their amazing apple watch ultra 2. It speaks for itself.

Its interesting, but its very bulky looking. My Mi Fit does the same stuff, but it's find my phone feature works and is overall smaller. It looks like its really trying to target the bigger Fitbit, which I can appreciate, but it also seems to fall way short and ends up competing with the regular Fitbits and that market where it is over priced and under-delivers. If they could bump the price up a smidge and make it a bit nicer to look at and fix the app, it could be a real contender.
