    • @heroedeleyenda05
      @heroedeleyenda05 Год назад

      I agree that he should do more budget friendly devices. but i think he should still only stick to the ones that really stand out from the rest.
      which is what he does right now.
      you've got this, he did one on the pocophone f1, he reviewed the mpow headphones.
      those are devices that really have something that differentiate them from other budget tech.
      so he does review budget tech, but he is more selective. i think instead of doing 1 or 2 budget devices each year, he should do 5 or 6.
      but he needs to still stay selective.
      there are great channels that do high quality reviews of budget tech. i used to follow a couple, back when i was going trough a financial rough patch, and couldnt afford premium phones that werent 4 years old.
      but to be honest, when you can afford premium tech, the budget options are not an option anymore. because you give up a lot of things when you go budget.
      the cameras always suck, screen quality sucks, processor speed sucks, and you start to appreciate the premium stuff again.
      but there is a need for low budget tech when you're counting every dollar you make. but once youre back on your feet, all the budget tech blends together.
      dont get me wrong, i still enjoy a great deal on a low budget item. but it has to really stand out from the rest. just like mpow headphones did back before they got cancelled.
      the pocophone f1 was a great budget device with premium features, but a tech item, has to be at that level of price advantage for me to even consider it anymore.
      if I want something cheap, i just look for a used premium item that is 1 or 2 years old.

    For the use case, I get at least 7-9 days on a single charge. Although I wear it roughly 2 hours a day, it's always on. It connects extremely well with other devices. And I think that's the best use case - to control with your watch ~ like phone notifications, cutting a call (still don't know why Apple doesn't allow people to cut their phones if the phone is locked), changing music, and the step counter.

    one of the best features of a budget smart watch is that due to their simplicity and lack of features beyond the basics (which i mostly do not need to begin with), they can last weeks if not months on a single charge. this reason alone is why i stick with budget smart watches.

  • @PhewChurz

    I think a big win for this CMF watch compared to other budget watches (if the spec list is accurate) is that it has GPS built-in which is a deal breaker for me.
    I'm in the uk and can't seem to find anywhere to buy it.
    Ive been using the Amazfit Bip S for a few years now and its feature rich and looks better that the CMF. Im probably going to upgrade to the Bip 3 for £69 and looks to outclass the CMF in my opinion.

    • @DiesOnAToilet
      @DiesOnAToilet Год назад

      Yeah, that surprised me too. I like to keep GPS off on my phone except when I need it (mostly) to save battery life. So if I can do that and still have location function for the watch that would be cool. But I have a strong suspicion that the CMF app will ask / nag me about / or even insist that I also turn location on on my phone to use most location functions. That's the way these things usually work for whatever reason.

    I've had a Dafit watch for a couple of years. It was about $30 and is still going. It has a mesh/magnet band that I like, although it also came with a plastic band. Its supposed to do heart, O2 and sleep functions, but I don't know how accurate they are. I charge it once a week and it just keeps on going.

      @@CactusJack252Apple destroys Fitbit IMO. And for the “good” Fitbits, an Apple Watch isn’t much more money. Only thing they’ve got on Apple is battery life, but I charge my watch every night just like my phone. No need to have multi day battery life IMO.

    Thats the thing with a smart watch app though they are technically suppose to be always running in the background for you to get things like calls amd notifications amd other stuff along with it being connected too the phone. Most smartwatches apps will tell u to connect the watch to the Bluetooth of the phone through the app now instead of the Bluetooth menu so everything works properly.

    Great watch! Its a good watch. Came across it in store the other day. Definitely would recommend it for anyone looking for an entry level smartwatch. However if you can spend a lil more money id advise going into the $200 range coz thats usually where the jump is between the base smartwatches and the mid range smartwatches. But definitely good for an entry for someone just looking for the basic functions as a companion watch.

    $69 for this is still a bit too expensive for a basics-oriented wearable. Depending on where you live, you could get the 2023 Mi Band for like half the price and that thing would have better app integration.

    Since the CMF watch is not transparent, it is much easier to get it fully water and dust resistant, because you simply glue everything up tight on the inside, cause nobody's going to see if it gets messy. :)
