Honestly their memes got better recently. Uraraka specificly I have seen being used in so many shitposts. Like one guy made a couple of memes of her using hollow purple and stuff with amazing japanese voice acting. And that was actually pretty funny. You also have the entire community who is currently roasting deku's new haircut so that spawned a bunch of new memes too. (Even uraraka insulted that hair cut in the manga) So I think the community is improving in that category atleast.
This is why I left the MHA/BNHA fandom YEARS ago. The fandom is one of those most toxic fanbases ever. These crazy fans really had to go as far as to send death threats to the creator of the show just so they can make their ships canon.

My first experience with the MHA fandom was in Fall 2019 when I went to a local con in a half abandoned mall where I was cosplayed as Ash Ketchum and my friend was cosplayed as Himiko Toga. Somehow we ended up in the middle of the food court with 40 other MHA cosplayers who were all singing that Todoroki All Star song while t posing. There were people eating there. WTF. My friend and I also got chased through the mall by some of the MHA cosplayers and we had to hide in the clothing racks in Belk to get away from them.
As an MHA fan who acts like a normal human being I can confirm that the fandom is incredibly cursed, you have the one side where it’s just cool cosplayers and awesome fanart and then the other side of cringy skits and horrible ships, I love the show but the crap I get for liking it and not even being a weird fan is crazy lol, awesome video btw

My first experience with the MHA fandom was in Fall 2019 when I went to a local con in a half abandoned mall where I was cosplayed as Ash Ketchum and my friend was cosplayed as Himiko Toga. Somehow we ended up in the middle of the food court with 40 other MHA cosplayers who were all singing that Todoroki All Star song while t posing. There were people eating there. WTF. My friend and I also got chased through the mall by some of the MHA cosplayers and we had to hide in the clothing racks in Belk to get away from them.

As an MHA fan who acts like a normal human being I can confirm that the fandom is incredibly cursed, you have the one side where it’s just cool cosplayers and awesome fanart and then the other side of cringy skits and horrible ships, I love the show but the crap I get for liking it and not even being a weird fan is crazy lol, awesome video btw

Eh. I remember the endless tide of fanfics putting Naruto and Sasuke together. This was pre-time skip too so they weren't even 16. Naruto getting feminized to make a ship hetero? Lots of that too. Sakura and Kakashi as a couple? Sure, thousands of those. Don't even get me started on what they did to poor Kiba.
Naruto was the starter anime for the mid-00's, so lots of people got into it hot and heavy with tweenage hormones raging and no real limits on expressing their still developing kinks. Only difference with the MHA fandom is was now the 2010's, anime was more mainstream, and social media was proving itself just an absolute disaster for humanity.

As fan of mha this video physically hurt me. It's literally a shounen anime. I will never get how people manage to turn an anime about teenagers learning to be heroes into a show about the main character having 500 romantic relationships at once! It's even more annoying that most of the fandom has the reputation that the other part of the fandom has put on us. It's only about 5% of the actual fandom, the rest of it just likes superheroes (or villains doing their thing I guess).
