The day power scaling died for me was when I started realizing the authors usually didn't realize what feats they were setting while just following the common tropes of comics. A character can get dropped by a gun but can also get tossed through a concrete and just hop right up to their feet. _right_ . A character is blasted by a tank or missile and it gives them a nose bleed but they get tossed through a support column like it's a wwe folding table. _groan_ .The human body is light as phuk and the kind force required to send one clean through a concrete building instead of bouncing off like a racket ball is soooo much more than people imagine.

I believe the Best way to Power scale 2 Characters is this Method of Deduction: 1. Understand how Both characters universes work 2. Understand the Mindset of the Character 3. Deeply Analysis the Characters Abilities, Feats, and Defeats by weighing in the Proper Logic, Circumstance, & Context to the Situation at Hand 4. Go into the Background plights of the Powersets, Weaknesses, and Mechanics to the Point where you can Proper convert it to any Verse 5. Set up the Battle Properly in a Stable Context (If the 2 Characters know each, if they don’t, or if they Hate each other) and set the Ground Realistically, Not Equal for you are trying to understand a Realistic Battle through Verisimilitude Not equalizing Bonehead Logic 6. Commence the Battle into Effect and have those 2 Combatants properly against each other to see the Outcome with all the Proper information and if you have to pull Headcanon or stuff you haven’t seen or implied in the Base Source than have it make sense for the Character or Universe 7. Profit, Battle is Won and everyone comes away understanding the Full Power of Both combatants and are less Ignorant about power scaling and Fights
I whole-heartedly agree with this, but the sad truth is that no one will actually go through with it because it's too much work for the common sheep brain. It's much easier to do the same toxic nonsense people have been doing for years and call it a day.
Number 1 works in conjunction with “verse equalization” fights too because in my opinion for that to work both verses power/energy system should work at least a bit similar but there are some that doesn’t for example chakra and haki are two completely different things and if you try to equalize both you’re ignoring some properties and things about the both of those
@@lebrondavis1420 I understand that, but I’m saying as I said before That really isn’t possible, some Universes are Weak, Others are Realistic, and Alot are Overpowered When you compare both universes with the 2 Fighting Characters, It overall sets a Base Standard for the Characters in the Battle as a Virisimilitude, Like a “Real Life” standard Say, Normal People can bench 150 Ib, but Normal People in Naruto can bench 350 Ib, Clearly the Naruto Universe is Superior Then have each Characters Universe center their Strength Properly and then put them in a Neutral Environment for the Most Accurate Battle Statistics and Results
Im only familiar with the one piece power scaling community but it's hard to belive for me that there are any worse that that. People argue the most insane stuff and Shanks is the strongest in the verse for tons of people.
The Shanks being strongest in the verse is lowkey wild to me. But I guess if you're only looking at how he's been portrayed I guess I could understand it. But he be winning every RUclips poll, like they think he can 3 v 1 admirals.
Yea, there are a lot of problems with the power scaling community 1. The amount of power scalers who don't actually understand the differences between AP/DC 2. The amount of power scalers who don't understand speed categories 3. The amount of times feats are taken out of context. 4. The amount of people who don't understand when hax can and can't be outscaled 5. The amount of people who don't understand verse equalization. 6. The amount of meatriders who exist solely to push an agenda. 7. The amount of people who don't understand scaling or the tiering system entirely, this is like saying you're a mathematician but not understanding arithmetic operations. 8. The amount of people who don't understand what cosmology entails. 9. The amount of people who don't consider the implication of hax because they just assume that having a higher AP/DC means they automatically win. 10. The amount of people who get butthurt over VS Battle. I agree, too many people conflate quality of writing with power, whether your favourite character gets stomped by another shouldn't impact your enjoyment or love for the series. 11. The amount of people who don't understand what dimension > hax really should really mean. 12. The amount of people who apply the logic of the verse they are representing to another but not the other way around and assuming that it must be true for all pieces of fiction (cough* dragonball strength > hax cough*) 13. The amount of people who don't consider how a character actually acts. 14. The amount of people who don't understand keys and standard equipment. 15. The amount of people who think metafictional transcendence is real or that omnipotence can exist in fiction.
I also personally disagree with using calcs from pixel measurements, since authors don't typically care about that. There is also a few problems with the tiering system itself, but that's an entirely different ordeal.
The "canon" argument is a legitimate concern. There is even an anime in which this issue is a major plot point. It's called Re:Creators, a show where fictional characters enter the real world and start fighting each other. It turns out that their powers are derived from audience acceptance. Thus, if a writer makes a Twitter post saying a manga character has a new power, and the fans accept it, then the real version of the character also gains that ability. The problem is, the main antagonist is basically an internet meme, and everyone online keeps giving her virtually unlimited powers. What this has to do with power scaling is that if a character is really popular, such as Goku or Superman, then writers will just endlessly churn out new content for them to star in, and since new content has to raise the stakes to keep fans interested, they always get more powerful. Why this is a problem is that fans will always argue that there is a version of their favourite character who wins almost every fight. Canon is about reeling that in. Otherwise you can always find some borderline facfic tier version of a character and say "that's the strongest licensed version of the character so that character wins every fight." And yes, people do do this.
Yep, these two brain cells users cannot possibly stay in the debates. As soon as you make a point, they start insulting your whole bloodline. Lord forbids you show weakness.
@@UniversalS757This just proves how powerscallings goes against the basic rules of how fiction and entertainment works. "Death of the author" is one of the worst excuses for that
It would be better if people focused less on who has more stats and actually put them in interesting scenarios based on those stats. For example, if a character has high iq/biq over a character who beats them in most other stats, then why not have the smarter guy actually use said intelligence? Or, if something has extreme potential why not use said potential? Ofc it depends on how high other stats are, because I doubt anyone can beat a being with irrelevant speed regardless of how smart they are

This is a argument used in one piece, the one piece earth is several times or closer to 100x our earth size, this is why traveling takes so long, there are so many islands, why it’s 70% water, etc. so small feats in one piece would be scaled massively up In other verses, so if for example kaido destroyed a continent, in other verses like MHA it would be many times that

@@Sleeplessmonkehe literally uses it first time during fighting while he is ssb, now he mui in manga, and the mention of hakai is all over the manga because vegeta is trying to master it, why the hell wouldnt goku use it if he know its best for that situation, when powerscaling we try to put the steongest out of both sides, we cant count for situations. Goku would be heavly nerfed if we include his dumb behavior of letting his guard down, or not observing his enemy to get info about what his power might be. Goku is faster than light but if there exists a character where it had slow power with the speed of sound but on the other hand can erase someone's soul, goku would have likely not dodged it or even went to it himself and touched it. You never know the limit of how dumb goku can be
Power scaling was fine until people started valuing it over actual stories and character writing of series's that just so happened to have strong characters in them like Dragon Ball
You forgot to mention that if the other person makes a speling mistace, then they automatically lose the argument, even if they argued that Goku could win against Tanjiro.
I never like Power Scaling discussions. It is a sorry excuse for inviduals to start some Flame War with each ithers. And a sorry excuse to share their knowledge about something. And they also very bias when it come about Scaling their favorite Characters. For example, people assume that Godzilla is the strongest fictional character just because Godzilla defeated Superman. Even though the story was written by a Godzilla fan who doesn't know much about Superman. Superman was holding back much of the tome, and Godzilla was cheap-shoting Superman. So the problem with Power Scaling is the bias of some people who thinks their favorite character is stronger that yours. Stan Lee said best when he debunked The VS Community. Yet some folks in the Power Scaling Community expect us don't to believe someone who is bigger and more influential like Stan Lee. But they expect us to believe them and no Stan Lee who hold more power than them. You can spotter their biases. -_-;
As a power scaler myself, it's horrendous. Most of the time, you either met someone who says a character is a million times stronger than what they have ever shown just because they saw it in a RUclips video, and then there are those who know Shit about the terminology and think everything is outerversal, and the people who debate properly, normally are only good with 7 or 8 frictional works and don't debate about anything else. And the people who do calcs, specifically for strength get debunked months or years later, and to get an idea the difference between 2 calcs of the same thing is normally of dozens of thousands to even billions. Speed is normally better since the formula is way more simple, but there are people that make absurd time frames up to get absurd results. Overall i wouldn't recommend it.
Power scaling, especially in Dragon Ball, is stupid and useless. They literally have the ability to surpress and hide their power, and can raise it instantly so no one ever knows how powerful someone truly is. Like Ginyu said to Jeice "The reason he made you look like a pack of losers is that you relied on your scouters"
Nah gang, once you dodge an attack, you are faster than the attack. Common sense really. I already proved that Batman is on par with the flash in speed. (Sarcasm in case you couldn't tell)
As a power scaler myself, I think that power scaling is really fun. It's fun to look at fictional characters and be amazed with how powerful they are, what they scale to, and their abilities. It's also really fun to put them in battles and figure out who wins. But it's just the endless toxicity of fanbases with the endless arguments, wanks, sometimes downplaying, and name calling that ruins it. Especially with fanbases such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Dragon Ball, Mortal Kombat, Persona, and sometimes Marvel and DC.
I mostly been a standby and sometimes do a debate just for fun on DB power scaling and ngl, some people barely know hot to read -like is it manga or anime? Does filler count? Witch version of goku? What about consistency -they just say nu uh and say goku is outher.... 💀 And btw people NEED to to seriously take into account that power scaling fiction is NOT (most of the time) accurately to reality, if it was then goku would have infinite energy 🤦♂️ (yes, its been debunked)
I seen a lot of people be acting like this with characters like the Slime boy from "Reincarnated as a slim". (No not saying the whole phrase you guess it out at this point.) Making dumb shit like he has counters to literally everything, despite one of his biggest weakness the series demonstrates this many times that when he's out of energy, he is vulnerable and easily can be able to be wiped out afterwards. But I guess we gloss over things established? Smh

Bro said plus plus plus 😂. Nah dis shi hilarious but one thing people don’t understand tho is that it’s the people who use power scaling that can make it a problem but every series has power scaling. Not calcs they’re different. Power scaling necessary for the author to scale opponents against the other. So yea ya last point was perfect 💯
Don’t forget my favorite. Character A is actually Buttfuck dimensional because they beat a guy who was buttfuck dimensional. Sure, he had help, was attacking a weak spot that was anchoring Character B to the 3rd dimension, and had an insane power boost after using the magic macguffin to power up with additional strength from an actual god, but context doesn’t matter if it makes me lose my argument.
The problem is powerscaling especially in an argument where 'who wins over who' it's hard to come to a conclusion sometimes even in a same verse but it becomes ridiculous when compared characters from different verses and after seeing how much the authors themselves destroy the power system they themselves have created whenever they feel like it with no logical explanation i sometimes do feel they are unreliable...... don't get me wrong they are pretty much the gods of their manga/anime but i feel it's disrespectful to his/her own works and the audience and is lazy writing when he/she straight out ignore the system thet made us get hooked up to the series Gege and isayama are one of the few who stay true to their own power system

Sure, Sukuna could probably destroy the world IF given enough time. That's a detail I feel gets overlooked too much: how long that level of destruction would take for the user (their DPS, as the MLGs would call it).
@@MrAuthor3DS That would take months if not years . MS takes a toll on the brain and a lot of CE even for the king of curses . Which means WCS isn't an attack with infinite destructive power .

Personally unless the author states the charecters speed or another characters speed it’s hard to scale that characters speed with out taking estimations. So in my opinion reaction speed and movement speed have to be slightly relative because you can’t dodge a bullet at the speed of a turtle even if you can react to it
Lmao I power scale myself and I can definitely tell you the biggest debates I've been in is Saitama Vs Goku (Goku wins btw), Naruto Vs Luffy (Naruto wins rather easily too), Deku vs Asta (Asta one shots), And Ichigo or Aizen vs JJK or the Big 3
The peak of disgusting power scaling is the Team Gojo vs Team Kakashi debate. I've literally seen people claim that Team Gojo would win because Nobara beats Sakura, Yuji beats Naruto since Sukuna would come out, and that Megumi and Gojo would beat Sasuke and Kakashi since they have limitless and Mahoraga. In reality Sakura speed blitzes team Gojo and kills them all other than Gojo himself who dies to DMS Kakashi or Sasuke who can both use space ninjutus.

Honestly, attempting to apply real life physics to fictional characters and settings clearly operating under different rules always struck me as inherently erroneous.
I quit power scaling after I lost a few of my brain cells talking with the goku, Saitama, Gojo, and some fanbase. Now I debate at football because I'm so annoyed at the Messi and Cr7 fan's lmao
Personally the one thing i find stupid about cross verse powerscaling is that alot of anime universe play by different rules. You cant just verse equalize the two power systems cause some anime like jjk and hunter x hunter have a more complicated power system then say dragon ball or naruto. lets say that curse energy = chakra then does that mean there are hust a hand full of character that just straight nullify all chakra or how about characters in naruto that can absorb chakra can they all if a sudden absorb a hollow purple
beleave it or not about the narration not being true actualy works for jjk cause in one point itadori dodge percing blood(supersonic) acordding to the narrator than gets speed blitzed with choso by subsonic speeds multiple times and itadori was stronger
im just saying you could argue naruto being solar system level based on how you interpret kaguya's dimension destroying feat and how big you think it was

I believe the Best way to Power scale 2 Characters is this Method of Deduction:
1. Understand how Both characters universes work
2. Understand the Mindset of the Character
3. Deeply Analysis the Characters Abilities, Feats, and Defeats by weighing in the Proper Logic, Circumstance, & Context to the Situation at Hand
4. Go into the Background plights of the Powersets, Weaknesses, and Mechanics to the Point where you can Proper convert it to any Verse
5. Set up the Battle Properly in a Stable Context (If the 2 Characters know each, if they don’t, or if they Hate each other) and set the Ground Realistically, Not Equal for you are trying to understand a Realistic Battle through Verisimilitude Not equalizing Bonehead Logic
6. Commence the Battle into Effect and have those 2 Combatants properly against each other to see the Outcome with all the Proper information and if you have to pull Headcanon or stuff you haven’t seen or implied in the Base Source than have it make sense for the Character or Universe
Number 1 works in conjunction with “verse equalization” fights too because in my opinion for that to work both verses power/energy system should work at least a bit similar but there are some that doesn’t for example chakra and haki are two completely different things and if you try to equalize both you’re ignoring some properties and things about the both of those
@@lebrondavis1420 I understand that, but I’m saying as I said before
That really isn’t possible, some Universes are Weak, Others are Realistic, and Alot are Overpowered
When you compare both universes with the 2 Fighting Characters, It overall sets a Base Standard for the Characters in the Battle as a Virisimilitude, Like a “Real Life” standard
Say, Normal People can bench 150 Ib, but Normal People in Naruto can bench 350 Ib, Clearly the Naruto Universe is Superior
Then have each Characters Universe center their Strength Properly and then put them in a Neutral Environment for the Most Accurate Battle Statistics and Results
Nah, I'd BS it

Im only familiar with the one piece power scaling community but it's hard to belive for me that there are any worse that that. People argue the most insane stuff and Shanks is the strongest in the verse for tons of people.

All Ice cream taste bad because I ate only vanilla ice cream and didn't like it there for all other types of ice cream taste like shit.

Yea, there are a lot of problems with the power scaling community
1. The amount of power scalers who don't actually understand the differences between AP/DC
2. The amount of power scalers who don't understand speed categories
3. The amount of times feats are taken out of context.
4. The amount of people who don't understand when hax can and can't be outscaled
12. The amount of people who apply the logic of the verse they are representing to another but not the other way around and assuming that it must be true for all pieces of fiction (cough* dragonball strength > hax cough*)
All true.
I need to know wtf is cosmology
@@Azreal4 As far as powerscaling goes, it's how physics and metaphysics operate.
*cough* zeno goku *cough*
Honestly, I don't want to do anime debate because I don't feel confident. People might call me dumb or stupid just for that.

I never like Power Scaling discussions.
It is a sorry excuse for inviduals to start some Flame War with each ithers. And a sorry excuse to share their knowledge about something. And they also very bias when it come about Scaling their favorite Characters.
For example, people assume that Godzilla is the strongest fictional character just because Godzilla defeated Superman. Even though the story was written by a Godzilla fan who doesn't know much about Superman.
Superman was holding back much of the tome, and Godzilla was cheap-shoting Superman. So the problem with Power Scaling is the bias of some people who thinks their favorite character is stronger that yours. Stan Lee said best when he debunked The VS Community.
Yet some folks in the Power Scaling Community expect us don't to believe someone who is bigger and more influential like Stan Lee. But they expect us to believe them and no Stan Lee who hold more power than them.
You can spotter their biases. -_-;

And in dragon ball super characters get thousands of times stronger in mere minutes. Just because they “adapted” to match their opponent’s strength.
what about one piece?
Time to nerd out errrm there’s different types of speed such as reaction speed and combat speed.
