They do, but I'm already over it. The more chances I have to play, the more opportunities I have to have variance balance out in the long run. The next episodes gonna be a good one! Thanks for watching.
Had my Aces cracked the other day,AA vs Kk heads up 1/3 600 pot all in ,player announced he folded Kj,I was happy to hear but the cards had other plans,Case King on the flop ,all spades for a sweat but broad pair, one outed!Sick!GG Huggie!
Great Vlog! Glad to see you keep your head after the aces got cracked and regain some of your losses. Still stinks to lose those, but you got your money in good and everything went the way you wanted except the river....
For sure! I try to consider the times I've won vs. others in similar spots when that stuff happens (like my QJ hand earlier in the session) whenever I lose in spots like these. Next episode is going to make up for it though, I can promise you that! 🙂
Especially like your vlogs as your playing the stakes that interests me at the present time. Haven't played live in about 2 years, and going to play a 1/3 game in a couple of weeks. Would play 1/2 however I've never played those stakes and seems like it's hard to get folds at those stakes...mindless gamblers are more common at those stakes I believe. Anyway, love the vlogs bro, and keep up the work. Am interested in seeing you climb the levels straight slaying the competition. Again Great Work!!!!
Hey Ray, so glad you're liking the vlog! I really enjoy watching the higher stakes games, but I agree with you that there is something relatable about the smaller stakes, and there are not as many vlogs out there that I've come across at $1/2 or $1/3. I will say though, that from everything I've heard, these $1/2 Texas games play more like $2/5 elsewhere -- granted, there's a lot of money being thrown around here. Good luck to you when you hit up your $1/3 game! Interested to hear how it goes.
@@HuggiePoker will be sure to let you know my brother! Yeah from what I've seen so far with Texas poker, it def runs bigger than other places. Ironically I was born in Killeen Tx but moved shortly thereafter and have never gone back. Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes, and you definitely have a fan here in VA. It's funny, the way I found your vlog was doing a RUclips search for 1/2 and 1/3 holdem vlogs and I found you. Still catching up on all your videos but you e come a long way since the beginning! Good luck at the tables brother!
Huggies! Looking forward to your next vlog as it seems to have been a minute. Just touching base. Did play my live game but went ahead and played 1/2 cause it was full of action. Played pretty well, bet A little too large in a few spots but just getting back to live play. Ended up losing 80 bucks on the day but was down 300 at my lowest point. Anyway, hope to see your next vlog soon brother, good luck at the tables and wishing your family well!!!
Hey Ray, not too bad a result for your first time back at live poker! Digging your way back out of a hole can sometimes feel just as good as a win, if not better. I've been trying to get one vlog out per week, the next one will be out tomorrow. 🙂
@@HuggiePoker excellent!! You have quickly become my favorite blogger and it's because I seem to relate to you more than most. You also seem genuine, kind, and encouraging. I truly wish you all the best!
@@ChiariLife420 That's do nice of you to share, Ray, thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the vlog. I hope it's relatable still as I try to progress to some bigger stakes over the course of my play.
Damn man, does anyone win with aces?? Solid play tho. A friend of mine who plays professionally always told me “you can’t be too mad when you get your money in ahead.”
Yeah man, I definitely had to keep in mind the fact that I won as an underdog w/ QJ earlier in the session. That's just how it goes sometimes! We'll get em next time.
I appreciate the optimistic perspective on my call there. 😄 I got lucky on that one, and is an example of why I can't be too upset about losing with aces later in the session.
If you have a hand, and don't know a hand your beating that will call. Then you bet what you're willing to lose, and if he raises or jams, decide if he's bluffing. Checking on the river with a strong hand or the nutz is just bad poker.
Really enjoy your vlogs. That being said, I've got a strategy question. I see you (and others) talking of a card will be in the villians range but not yours. I do understand the basic thought process, but here's my question: why is it more suitable for your range or theirs with just about any flop. (Yes I know the power of position) If there's a flop that would complete a potential flush for your opponent, why wouldn't it be assumed that you have a potential flush as well? I've played "the board" many times, betting as though I have it with nothing. I don't do this all the time, but if I'm playing tight players I've found that perception is just as powerful as reality. Am I making sense? Once committed, I've found that aggression wins many pots despite your cards. Agree/Disagree?
Playing aggressively definitely has the potential to win more than playing passively. However, you obviously can't just blindly bet at every pot and expect aggression to work regardless of what you're holding. In other words, aggression is important, but it's crucial to apply it in a way that respects (and takes advantage of) your opponents' holdings as well. I'm still working on this and have been wrong my fair share of times, and as I move up in stakes, this has been the most challenging part for me personally as the money becomes more significant. In terms of ranges, the range has to do with who raised vs. who called in conjunction with position. For example, if I'm raising UTG, I'm probably holding a big pair or a big ace. If the flop comes T98, that's not likely to hit my range knowing that. Players calling my raise are more likely to have mid-low pairs and suited connectors that this board would hit, making it better for their range. In terms of flushes, you can potentially deduce if someone is calling down when there's a flush draw that they could have a suited ace or king perhaps, which is probably the main way in which suit comes into play. As the raiser, I think there is not necessarily a correlation between your hand and suits, but maybe I'm wrong.
New to the vlog. Cracked aces always hurt. Look forward to more videos.

Hey John, glad you're liking them! Curious to hear what it is you like about my style of play, if you don't mind me asking?
Keep up the good work Huggie love to watch your vlogs and appreciate how quick you get them out. Good running to you.
Hey John, good running into you too! Thanks for the feedback and for watching. Next week's episode is going to be even better IMO!

Oof, that's rough sonny! Hope you were able to win it back.
Recovery range was wide. Glad it worked out.
It was, but I admittedly play somewhat of a wider range in general based upon how things play down here in Texas. I'm glad it worked out too though!
Great vlog dude!
Thanks, Ace!
Like to see you taking shots and buying in deeper! 👌
And one time, you will be on the right sight to win these huge Pots 😬😬
Thanks, buddy! Monday's episode will make up for this one. 😉
Always enjoy your vlog.
Thanks, Ray! Next week's is going to be even better! 😄
Glad to see you taking shots at a bigger game and even if it went south you had a chance. Hopefully you’ll be able to continue the path.
Thanks, cactuar! Next week's episode will be another $1/3 game, and let's just say it's one to keep an eye out for! 😉
Love the videos man keep

why do we keep getting our aces cracked >:(
Just means we need to get dealt aces more often to balance out the variance! 😆
