    Keeping the vibes at the table good, or low key, is better than forcing people to show cards. You knew enough about his hand to make the right decisions and that's what mattered. No need for your opponent to show his cards there. You're also correct that doing that keeps the game moving too.

I still thought I was ahead so I called to keep ace holding bluffs in. River is miracle 3. I check once more. He jams I insta call. He ended up having aces and I was trapping myself until that river lol 😂

    Hey,
    Have a question. i was playing 1-2 and 1-3. had great results playin tight. I tryed adding bluffs and had a rough month and a half. how ever in tryed a few 2-5 sessions and had better results in the higher game. do you think i should stick with 2-5. it seems my play is better.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure how big your sample size is, but there are some aspects of playing bigger that you do get respect for hands and plays that you wouldn't get at lower limits. Only play what you're comfortable losing, and if you're trying to build a poker bankroll, then that's definitely worth considering. If you're just playing recreationally on occasion or with fun money that you're not worried about, then I'd say play the game you feel like you can beat consistently.

      There's always action in Texas, but I've always seemed to get action. Maybe it's because I'm willing to play speculative hands and not just the nuts, so people are willing to play against me.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  Год назад +2

      It was really two reasons, and both have to do with booking a win. First, I had been on a downswing over about 2 months, and so winning some sessions was helpful for both my bankroll and my confidence. Second, these stakes are much higher than I normally play. If I head back to Vegas in the future, I'll probably be a little more comfortable with playing a longer session now that I have a few wins under my belt there.

    Last bettor shows first has been the rule since forever.

U are right by believing u had the nuts to show your hand right away but because he made the bet and u just called he still has to show his hand if he makes final bet. You paid for his info is the first reason I feel u should ask to see his cards. My second thought where I feel your wrong is you said u want to keep him happy cuz how things been going and I feel your far from what should happen. Make him show his losing hand next time cuz for one then u no more how he plays and for 2 u actually want him to go on tilt as he will play on anger and make more mistakes.
