    The odds of set over set at a full-ring table is roughly 1 in every 1,200 hands. But to have it happen twice in 105 hands, and be on the losing end both times...? 🤢 What rare thing has happened to you while playing?

      Walked into a new room here in Houston for the first time.. first thing i see unfolding at the only table running is AA vs QQ vs JJ… and the flop comes Q A J 🥴🥴 they ran it flop twice twice and aces held

      I actually got set over set 2x in a recent session just like this. Managed to crawl back to about breakeven, but yes those days are frustrating.
      Craziest hand that sticks out to me was KK(me) vs KK vs AA all 3 all in about 500 each. Was already running bad before that, but getting it in with the 2nd best hand in poker, and drawing nearly dead preflop, made me stand up and end my session for the night haha.

    What a bummer session, but you are maintaining a great attitude! Just a couple of cooler run outs, but we all have had it happen to us, or witnessed it while at the table. Your game is strong, and play analysis is very spot on, just too bad on the last hand you felt like you had to shove, even if you had just called, the money was going in on the flop.
    I'm sure you will rebound on the next session.

    Very proud of you for handling this session in the manner you did. I can’t imagine the level of tilt you went through in the moment with that 6/8 call. I mean pre flop AND post flop moves were absolutely horrible! The suck out was so undeserving. That was just one of those rare occasions were bad plays get rewarded. He, obviously, had a bad read on the strength of your hand and made a move that, IMO, made no sense. The pot was huge and to fold ANYTHING in that spot would have been bad. But you handled it with class. Keep up the good work.

    Good fold AJ pre. It looked sus when villain bets river after cold calling a raise pre. When you say something out loud, that's you telling yourself you're right. I just call the $50. Nice bink with the river King for $1,268. The 68hh hand was unfortunate. The last hand just played itself. I don't think you played any hand wrong except calling pre with Q5cc lol. It just wasn't your night. If you play solid, which you did, it's only 1 session. Keep grinding my man. You'll hit big soon, I feel it!!!!! See you next time. Thanks 👊

    Pocket Js are a fold against a 4bet at 1/3. Players give way less attention to others image at those stakes. I am guessing a bit of a tilt shove by you? Which is understandable considering how the session was going.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      The $1/3 games in Texas play closer to $2/5 or $5/10 in other places. I think on average the $1/3 players here are paying more attention than elsewhere, where $1/3 might play more like $1/2. Regardless, maybe it should be a fold. Even if I called to see a flop though, it still would have been a cooler with all the money going in.

    At $1-$2 you can NEVER fold when you river that boat. Yes, you will lose sometimes, but a lot of times your opponent is just an idiot.
    You probably can't even fold at $5-$10 if you're not too deep. You're still just too likely to run into an idiot.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, I'm inclined to agree at these smaller stakes. I think part of my thought process for this hand specifically was because I had been talking with the player for 30 minutes, and I could tell he was competent. But you're right that the are a lot of hands that will get overplayed in that spot, and folding a boat there would be too exploitable.

    Why do you show your cards when you are not the aggressor?

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Not sure if there is a specific hand you're talking about, but if you're referring to the 44 hand at the beginning, it was just to show the cooler. Basically showing that I'm not calling with junk, and also because I was being friendly with the guy to my right.
