Entertaining build. My 9 yo daughter has never really seen much in the way of metal working and she walked in at the beginning and was completely hooked. Enjoyed explaining what each of the tools were and what you were doing with them. Thanks for helping create that moment.
21:22 I always learn something... Instead if making a zero clearance insert... You just put a board underneath. Genius! It's the simple things! Thanks! 💖😷🌞🌵
Dude, this is SO quintessentially DiResta! This is exactly why I've been following you for 10 years! Keep up the great work, brother! The only thing that is missing is plumbing problems from the upstairs neighbors...
Once again.......the Grand Celestial Poobah of Awesome! Dude, how do you sleep at night knowing you have multiple lifetimes of projects floating around in your head and one lifetime won't even scratch the surface of completing them?
Mr Diresta, the entire build, I kept wondering if you were going to mount dem cookers on some big honking trailer!! Excellent build!!!...from what I still believe is THE MASTER MAKER!!!
One of the biggest takeaways from watching Jimmy throughout the years is “bring the work to the tool”. Hard to learn how to do safely but worth it. Be safe people and know your limits in the shop or you will learn
Great build. Might have to do one for the shop. I have a mini griddle for my bacon and egg rolls at breakfast. Smoked minute steaks for lunch would go down a treat
That is killer. Always wanted a custom built offset smoker. My friend and I were going to build one at some point but he committed suicide a couple of years ago. Miss him and miss working on metal projects with him. Keep it up Jimmy... you do fantastic work!!
There are good makers, great makers, and awesome makers… And then there is Jimmy, our GOAT and king. 🐐👑 All the kudos in the world to you, sir! I love watching you work. You are the best ever! 👊🏼#DIRESTA
All I know is that the “dogs”closest to the fire are the ones I want!!! Extra well done. Crunchy on the outside, soft inside. Now I want a hotdog. 🤷🏻♀️
We call that a smoker... Nicely done though, it's something someone with money to throw away would buy and then have their staff cook with it, because, why not. Quite the novelty project, functional art.
I’m not crazy, right? I saw this on Patreon a while ago, right? 🤷🏻♂️ I can find no evidence of such but I could swear I’ve seen it…. Still watched it “again” and loved every minute.
Two quick observations WAY early in my watch: I've meant to say it before, but that welding table and dog system is next-level. And second, I KNEW there was a good reason for that Jaw Horse, I just didn't discover it until it was sold. Dangit!
These have got to be the most beautifully absurd barbecue grills in the world. You make my heart smile Jimmy DiResta. The world needs more dudes like you. Big up from Upstate New York, a little further upstate than you lol.❤️💛💚
www.makewithdiresta.com/ go make a project!! Plans !!!!

Mini hotdog shaped BBQ to cook hotdogs. If that isn’t art, I don’t know what is. Awesome.
Shane! When do we get the pleasure of your next video?
I can’t wait to see Shane’s Tormach extension to cook hotdogs now. 😂
thank you brother!! I am honored you're here 👊🏻🤟🏻
It's the ultimate form of conspicuous consumption. Just so over-the-top and pointless, and it looks great doing it.
As a smoker of meats and a fan of his art, this piece really spoke to me. Thanks for always having such great content.
What a killer video. Range of techniques immense. Edit was perfect. Project idea and implementation outstanding. A DiResta classic. Love it.
21:22 I always learn something... Instead if making a zero clearance insert... You just put a board underneath. Genius! It's the simple things! Thanks! 💖😷🌞🌵
This is one of the most impractical things ever made, and there are two of them. I love it.
I wonder how much it weighs.
You should make your own mesh grill plates with the Diresta logo as the mesh, so that as the hot dogs cook they get branded
You're the only one I know that can turn the ridiculous into art. My respect! Greetings from Greece
I've worked in fabrication for a long time, this is fantastic. Efficiency is the key. Beautiful little smokers. Well done. Liked and subscribed.
Dude, this is SO quintessentially DiResta! This is exactly why I've been following you for 10 years! Keep up the great work, brother! The only thing that is missing is plumbing problems from the upstairs neighbors...
9:41 - Yes, that (the "ehhh face" ) is the correct safety expression everyone should adopt while plasma cutting.
Never gets old seeing the functional art you make! Awesome job as always
Always love to see how Jimmy breaks the "rules" when building. He get's shit done and it always looks amazing.
Craftsman: Measure twice, cut once.
Artist: Cut it now, what is a 'measurement?'
Once again.......the Grand Celestial Poobah of Awesome! Dude, how do you sleep at night knowing you have multiple lifetimes of projects floating around in your head and one lifetime won't even scratch the surface of completing them?
Plenty of onions and mustard on mine! Expertly done no compromise build great to watch thank you for sharing!
Super cool look! Especially those chimneys. A very nice piece of art!
Mr Diresta, the entire build, I kept wondering if you were going to mount dem cookers on some big honking trailer!! Excellent build!!!...from what I still believe is THE MASTER MAKER!!!
The touch of the wood, with the Diresta Logo!! Ufffff love it!! I mean everything!! Jeje awesome pice of art jimmy!! Much love from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷!!!
That was more than I expected. Nicely done, Jimmy! Scott
I lost track of how many times I kind of thought you were building a 1950s rocket jet pack.
Cool build.
One of the biggest takeaways from watching Jimmy throughout the years is “bring the work to the tool”. Hard to learn how to do safely but worth it. Be safe people and know your limits in the shop or you will learn
Very creative design. And, great finish to the project, smoked dogs.
Found this gem buried in my inbox from Patreon, glad I got to see it. Fantastic build Jimmy!
This is one cool looking smoker. Gives me steampunk vibes and kinda looks like scuba tanks. I like it! Thanks for sharing!
I love you video as it get straight to the point, little narration and fantastic result.
Craftsmanship at its very finest. What an excellent job, Jimmy. Hats off.
Very nice work J.D... I want one, but make mine turn the hot dog.. Again nice work J.D. thx for bringing us along...
Yeah that would be the icing on the cake 😊
Great job utilizing that fixture table! Love it! 👍🏻
This is why this man is revered by the youtube builder community.
That and because he is a really nice guy!
And because he is Batman!
@ 6:16
😅
Good ole Jimmy is back, and we like that !😃
Those look really cool. Looked like a lot of work.
Most talented guy and best productions on RUclips.
Never heard of someone who listens to more Alvin and the chipmunks than Jimmy.
Wow, ton of fabrication and welding. Works of art. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Great build. Might have to do one for the shop. I have a mini griddle for my bacon and egg rolls at breakfast. Smoked minute steaks for lunch would go down a treat
The order of operations was interesting to see.
I love the scale of this. There is a juxtaposition.
Nice work!
Sometimes I think Jimmy's actually listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks while working on elaborate fabrication projects. You do you Jimmy.
That is killer. Always wanted a custom built offset smoker. My friend and I were going to build one at some point but he committed suicide a couple of years ago. Miss him and miss working on metal projects with him. Keep it up Jimmy... you do fantastic work!!
My condolences ❤
Super job ! 👍
Wow you put so much work into these, they look fantastic, great video 👍🏻
the best!! attention to detail is always on point.
There are good makers, great makers, and awesome makers… And then there is Jimmy, our GOAT and king. 🐐👑 All the kudos in the world to you, sir! I love watching you work. You are the best ever! 👊🏼#DIRESTA
Wow the finished product is great
Fabulous steam punk ambiance! Thank you for sharing!
Great build! Thank you for sharing!
$5000 seems like a bargain to me😂 this is amazing.
Outstanding Craftsmanship!! Great Job!! Now you got me looking for scrap pipe 🇺🇸🏁
Fun project! Working small can be easier to work with but every detail counts more at small scale.
You never cease to amaze me with your fabrication skills and inventive design. Fantastic videos. - Chris
Imagine having 1% of the skill and creativity of Jimmy. I'd never leave my shop!
Since you have a shop, I’m fairly confident you already have maybe about 2% or so, perhaps even more. So that’s some good news for you on a Saturday.
All I know is that the “dogs”closest to the fire are the ones I want!!! Extra well done. Crunchy on the outside, soft inside. Now I want a hotdog. 🤷🏻♀️
i appreciate how you are honest and upfront about the stupid shit we do just because it looks cool no matter how impractical
We call that a smoker... Nicely done though, it's something someone with money to throw away would buy and then have their staff cook with it, because, why not. Quite the novelty project, functional art.
Excellent work! I don;t really know about manufacturing cost per work hour, but 5000 USD seems excessive. Is the majority of the material stainless?
I was going to say it seems underpriced.
This man knows how to do it all! And always with beautiful and perfect projects. Congratulations Jimmy and a hug from São Paulo -SP-Brazil
I’m not crazy, right? I saw this on Patreon a while ago, right? 🤷🏻♂️ I can find no evidence of such but I could swear I’ve seen it…. Still watched it “again” and loved every minute.
A jimmy welding/fab video!?! AWESOME!!! These too where really cool in person! Next time I'm down I can't wait to rip around on the dozer!
So cool, little kart but a lot of work. Very good job !
Thanks jimmy have a good fourth dude
Long time fan and I think I have seen every one of your videos. This is the coolest project EVER.
🙏🏼
Perfect for a person like me who lives alone, has no family, and has to move a lot for work!
You could smoke a few chicken wings in there too!
what belt sander were you using at 1:52 ??
Tiny BBQ USA=Massive sized in UK😂😮.
Great work! Lots of fab tricks here! 👏⚡️🤓⚡️
I think tongs would work better than a fork for turning and extracting the sausages/hotdogs...
Love the baby BBQ's...their cute...
Loved this felt like it was filmed back in the day in LES.
Two quick observations WAY early in my watch: I've meant to say it before, but that welding table and dog system is next-level. And second, I KNEW there was a good reason for that Jaw Horse, I just didn't discover it until it was sold. Dangit!
this is the best channel... great jimmy ciao
Love your work. Thanks for sharing!
If there was a BBQ build off between Laura and Jimmy...it would be a solid tie. Amazing build.
Then also count on Mansoo Lee as he is one of the best BBQ makers ever.
Mr Diresta you are truly as unique as those “mini BBQ’s” !👍
What isn’t to like about this? Beautiful work.
Thank You!
Well, if you ever want to expand your interests, you should have a promising career in custom exhaust 😃. Awesome build dude!
They look epic Jimmy and so do the hot dogs lol great video mate 👍🏽 👌 👏
I guess I gotta build one of these now...
Man that is some truly awesome design and craftsmanship, I’d love to have one of those.
These have got to be the most beautifully absurd barbecue grills in the world. You make my heart smile Jimmy DiResta. The world needs more dudes like you. Big up from Upstate New York, a little further upstate than you lol.❤️💛💚
Maybe a great looking tempering forge too...? Never cease to amaze me, JD
You're such a maniac I just love it Mr. D!!!
Well done, I'm sure David will approve
A masterclass on welding and fabrication, Jimmy.
Love your videos
How does he work so fast? This video was very short for the amount of time it would take anyone else.
@@GardenGuy1942 newsflash, this video isn’t shot in real time.
Terrific stuff..! Heath Robinson would be proud of the effort JD. 👍🏻
After seeing all the work that went into these $5000 doesn't seem like enough! You need to triple that number.
I agree, Awesome !
It's a tiny smoker like I have in my backyard.😊
Niccccceeeee. This one’s up there on your best of.
Cool design and fab. It’s about the same sq. Inch of cooking surface as a standard grill just way more interesting. Might fit Cornish hens on grate.
Finally, a Diresta classic builds.
Title of the video is perfect.
Knockin' on 2 Million there bud!
Fantastic. Maybe a stop welded to the top center of the lid that coincides with the shape of the tank to give the hinges on the lid relief.
Awesome work Jimmy! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
2 million subs! Fun project
That was brilliant
A lot of work and materials and expertise for 5k! Oh and thank you for a 24 min video with no midroll haha nice work brother
The perfect grill for when you’re only a little hungry! Haha pretty cool Jimmy!
