Steam's controller support for non xbox controller is great too. Can do stuff like enable gyro on supported controllers, and set up touch menus on the touchpad of the DS4 and dualsense as well as touch pad gestures.
Damn i just bought my first desktop with a 4090 and it’s coming in a week. This is life changing 😂 i thought i was gona have to keep going through a bunch of bs coming from the simplicity of xbox and ps. Thanks man.
Big picture mode on an Apple TV device is a perfect combo. Using Steam Rom Manager has made it simple to use my steam account for my pc games and my retro emulated games.
Spoken like a Valve rep..lol the reality is 90% of games don't work without at least lots of tinkering thanks to the awful SteamOS. That includes emulators. It's a truly awful user experience.
Yeah SteamOS still needs work to be done but it will get better as time goes on, a lot of the single player games work out of the box with steam proton, some popular games don’t work due to the game dev not supporting the platform, you can always check protondb to check if your games work before you switch to SteamOS
@@MorrisseyMuse sadly I’m not a valve rep and I think the issues your having using steamOS might be more user error than anything. Tinkering is what ALL pc users have to do and accept in order to have a smooth experience. Only console players get the privilege of putting in a disc and playing a game with 0 work. Aside from SteamOS I use LaunchBox on my desktop so I have different things for different uses. Not sure where your 90% thing came from but you might need to check your sources kid…
You need to have Steam on a laptop, you connect the laptop to the TV via HDMI, and you close the laptop or enable it to only show an image on the second screen
