Very smooth welding! start out welds are very good (not sticking or throwing sparks everywhere, very strong and a good smooth weld and it's not popping sparks all over the place, and for its size and being home made)3thumbsup!
1 : when the rod sticks, the man not the machine is at fault. 2 : you can't weld like that, there's not enough amperage. It's just sticking metal together.

You didn't used any relays or coupsters or diods to help reducing the heat of wires which will happen during the long use.. But realy its amazing work. I injoyed watching, thanks.
its an awsome idea but i think there will be many excess arc in the transformer.. after building this both the transformer must me sealed airtight like with epoxy or simply tar and rubber..
Nice job, but the used wire is very thin, it will become very hot. I made an arc welding machine using 3 transformers and a copper wire of 3 mm. With 11 turns for each i had 28 volts in result.
Video Maker I'm not sure about the internals. But just keep in mind the high amps those cables are dealing with. Over time that's gunna melt under high stress. I'd think of a thicker guage wire to use.
stop talking about safety. if you know what you're doing then you should be fine. or you can add some safety features or adjustable current if you want to. but for this is a very good idea making a DIY arc welder out of microwave trasformers. nice job bro. but be careful. hahaha xD
All these guys talking about it's not safe are probably the same guys that played with fireworks and guns and stuff. And they only did that because they didn't know anything about electricity.
well if its all you have to work with you do with what you have...not everone has a charge card and near by hardware store...remember out in desert friends dad needed to do some welding we were 80 miles from town saw an old car battery broke it open used old extensión cord and battery cables..it worked later on we used it to burn a hole through a railroad steel beam ..people like you wouldnt survive outside of confort
Utpal Sarma using lower gauge wire to run extremely high amperage is enough to melt them into a pool of lava, now I don’t know about you, but suggesting this is a good idea will get someone hurt. Yes laughing isn’t necessary, but this video is a total joke and if you actually did this it wouldn’t be very long before your breaker trips to save your life, arc welders use gauges closer to 0-5 AWG for a very good reason. You can see the amount of damage this circuit does to itself in his tests, the wires were nearly completely melted at the connectors by the time he finished welding, I bet he couldn’t hold the probe anymore because it got too hot. Not to mention there are 0 protection circuits, no bridge rectifier, no nothing, yes it may get you out of a pinch but you’re better off buying the $60 ones off Aliexpress instead.
4mm wire? Really? All the others that I watched used 10 gauge, or very rarely 8 gauge. 4mm is just shy of 6 gauge. Why so thick of a wire? And please don't misunderstand, I'm genuinely wondering. I've got about a dozen transformers that I pulled from dead microwaves and am making a welder from a couple of them, and have already wound secondary coils from 10AWG solid core wire. I got 24 windings out of it. I'm curious if thicker wire would be better though. Maybe thicker secondaries and 3 or 4 transformers instead of 2?

At 9:29 . How do you know which was Positive and which was Negative ? You should have printed it on the panel, just like how you printed the ON/ OFF for the switch. ( suggestion )
How do you ensure that the out Voltage is 35VAC and maximum current is about 100 Amps? The cooling fan used is 230VAC of 35 Watts, isn't it since it is connected on primary side.( I propose computer CPU Fan 12 Volts DC, 500 mAmps on secondary side if 35 watts 230 VAC cooling fan is not available ( Bridge rectifier using suitable Diodes and 50 VDC 2000 microfarads capacitor with 7812 IC regulator can do, I hope so) Further the maximum out put is 3500 watts (35x100=3500) and on primary side 3500÷230=15 Amps Hence the Primary side winding should be capable of withstanding at least 20 Amps at 230 Volts AC Isn't it? If it is less than 15Amps ,chances of windings on primary side getting heated and may be burnt-out is more. Hence transformer rating is important.(Primary and Secondary)
The connections of two transformer is not clear, please shown the circuit diagram. But the idea is great, thankyou. I wait for connection details. Thankyou again.
Around 60A. Which isn't sufficient. He won't achieve much burn-through, essentially his welds will only be on the metal surface, they won't be very strong. He need about twice the amperage for this to work.
Hello , very good work yours . But I have a doubt , in the two transformers , you removed the secondary cable or in one you retired the primary and in another the secondary ??????? Thanks
He's in India, household mains voltage is 230V. In the US it's 115V. In truth, the US household voltage is a centert-apped 230V, thus giving 2 out of phase 115v circuits. You could use the full 230V (dryer and oven circuits), however, I don't know if US microwave transformers can handle the 230V as they are rated for 115V.
NICE VIDEO BUT PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PILOT LIGHT AND THERMAL FUSE FOR SAFETY AND AVOID USING IT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME BECAUSE IT WILL OVERHEAT AND MELT THE WIRES GOING TO THE ELECTRODES.
Please I need your assistance,I tried these project but I having problem knowing my primary coil from secondary coil in a stabilizer transformer. Thanks in advance
I think it’s great what you did but I only have a few questions, I see that when the video starts one of the transformers has the winding at the bottom and the other at the top, the two that you eliminated were the secondary ( thin ) or one secondary and the other primary ? the plugs you use to connect the wires, are they from the plugs that are used in sound equipment ? And on the electrodes in the scheme you show you mean length or thickness ? Thanks for your video I have everything ahi to make one but I’m looking for a video where it shows the step by step how to do it and make it look good and I think I’ll take yours, I would put a red light on when you turn on the machine and I would also put some hooks to one side to roll up
good, but how you want control the W ? for wilding you need normal 120 till 150 W , but for cut you need more then 200 w . also this wire (wolding wire) you use is 2.5 and for this wire you need less then 50 W . can be good if you can control the Walt

Sir good noon I have a question why is the primary winding of welding machine wouldn't be cut off when switching on
Because the 220v turn the transformer and the secondary winding transforme the 220v
A ideia e fascinante não fiz o teste mais gostei pá caramba vou filtrar sua ideia valeu muito bom compacta
Very nice good work is per kharcha Kitna lagta ha
The 4mm cable you using for the secondary coils is it silicone insulated cable or the normal PVC?
It's neat. All those plactic connections will melt with the heat and high amperage

Hola felicitaciones por su proyecto. Solo una pregunta. ¿eliminamos los dos primarios?
Los 2 secundarios y los primarios son para alimentar el transformador
Se eliminan los devanados secundarios
are these two coils primary coils?
Yes, looks like he connected both primary in parallel and both secondary in series.
Both of those two transformer must be connected the primary wire to AC outlet bro?
how many mm should the welding electrode be, and what type or brand? thank
we need more details, on how and where you connected the 4mm wire to.
Both wire of transformer 4mm are attached in the front of two injecter point
are you cut one transformer secondary wiring and the other one is primary..???
At 9:29 . How do you know which was Positive and which was Negative ? You should have printed it on the panel, just like how you printed the ON/ OFF for the switch. ( suggestion )
It don't matter on these know one really knows just when you touch the two it melts metal
