    Being able to construct your own welder, for emergency repairs, possibly where there is no household current is great! I applaud you. In the real world there isn't always a big box store or harbor freight to draw from. Sometimes there isn't the money either. Too bad some people have forgotten how to "MacGyver" their way to a solution. Yes, A mass produced professional type welder would be the first choice but much of the world still doesn't have the resources, or options. Again, thumbs up!

      The modified spark plug is nothing more than an insulated holder for the welding rod. The metal parts of the modified plug and the connector made of flattened pipe are positive hot electrically and should not be touched without gloves during the welding since significant current passing can cause injury. Would insulate before use to enhance safety.

    So what is the spark plug for? Why do you need a 30,000V insulator for something that operates on 24V? Why not just connect the wire straight to the welding rod? In fact, instead of wrecking two expensive batteries, why not buy a $50 stick welder?

    Why do you have to use a spark plug ? Why can’t you go straight without the spark plugs?

    • @Tips365day
      @Tips365day  Месяц назад +2

      Thank you for the question! The spark plug is a critical component in gasoline engines; it generates a spark to ignite the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Without the spark plug, the engine won’t run efficiently or may not even start at all.

      Поэтому что свеча зажигает бензин, а бензин смешивается с воздухом и делает взрыв, который в свою очередь толкает поршень присоединенный к коленвалу, который передает крутящий момент на колеса, но ещё в двигателе есть масло, которое делают из нефти и из неё же делают бензин, который зажигает та самая свеча, но зачем использовать её как держатель электрода я не знаю, возможно тут подходит девиз - " мы не ищем лёгких путей"😂

    Common Voltages are 120 (110/115), 208 (200), 230 (220/240), 460 (440/480), 575 (600), VAC (volts of alter- nating current) with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. I believe the cable from the batteries was connected to the set screw, tapped into the spark plug base, that also clamped to the welding electrode. The problem with the whole setup, as I see it, is that if you tried to run a continuous bead, even for a couple of seconds, the voltage would decay rapidly, and you couldn't maintain the arc. That is why he spot welded with a cool down between each arc. Even using this spot-welding technique, the batteries would likely turn to garbage before very long.

    • @ARCSTREAMS
      @ARCSTREAMS 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@rossk4864 yeah the batteries will def die fast but he simply fed the electrode through the ceramic holder then tightened a screw which i doubt broke through the flux on the rod to establish conductivity so i'm still puzzled

    24 Volts is low for stick welding . Not at all, it depends on the filler rod being used. Stick welding is done with a “constant current” power supply which means that the current output will be constant, but the voltage can float depending on the arc length

    Se usar um carregador de bateria com entrada de 220 v e saída para 12v, acho que também daria. Vou tentar.

      Que palhaçada 😮
      Primeiro: Faz dos outros estúpidos... E alguns são realmente porque acreditam em tudo!
      Segundo: Compra-se máquinas de soldar fabricadas para o efeito, mais baratas que 2 baterias !
      Esta treta de vídeos deveriam ser punidos... Não deixa de ser uma burla.
      Tentam ganhar algo à custa da estupidez de outros.

    У нас колхозники в поле так использовали. Аккумуляторы чтобы что-то заварить ещё семьдесят лет назад,потому что Сагов не было. А причём здесь свечи вообще не понял ....
