Slice Seeding or Slit Seeding vs Aerate and Seed: What's the major difference between slice seeding and aerate and seeding?
Core Aeration and Seeding will remove plugs of soil and aerate your lawn while doing so. As it is pulling plugs of soil and de-compacting your soil, a Z-plug machine is seeding over the new tiny holes in the ground. Seed will settle right into the holes created and provide seed to soil contact. This service is performed in the fall.
Slice seeding creates 1" deep slits in your lawn with it's vertical blades and inserts seed directly into slits, laying tight rows of new seed directly into your lawn. This service is also performed in the fall.
