    the grand marquis wins hands down, its has the crown vics DNA body on frame, 4.6l v8, and RWD, lesabre is a FWD, unibody 3.8l v6, not as durable as the crown vic's platform.

      Only thin the mercury wins really is style maybe.

      The Buick is a much more modern car overall. It's a nice combination of traditional comfort while still having decent handling. All of the Grand Marquis' virtues lie in Ford's laziness to update it, not in a desire to make the best car possible.

    They both have the wood accents

    Both of these cars are great cars and will last a long time if you do the right maintenance on them and fix the issues like the lesabre's cooling tubes and plastic manifold issue.

      I changed my cooling tubes the chrome ones and the dealership did all my intake manifold issues with warranty'

    Why not compare it to the LS model?

    • @michaelcintron2568
      @michaelcintron2568 6 месяцев назад

      Because then Buick would have to break out the Park Avenue and they wanted to save that comparison for the large European cars

    Tire pressure monitor is a pain in the ass on my 2004 Buick Lesabre, goes off even when tire pressure are okay? Cooling tubes on the 2004 Buick Lesabre are plastic, replace them with metal ones, maybe the same for 2000-2005 and some older Lesabres?

      I have 2011 crown Vic police interceptor and a 2003 Buick lesabre. I’d take the Buick for more of a luxury feel and the GM for more of a stiffer more industrial feel. Both are reliable ah. Buick as a better frame. Rarely here about rust on these Buicks.

  • @mmmfloorpie

    Comparing a mainly retail LeSabre to a mainly fleet model Grand Marquis isn't really a fair competition... Of course the Grand Marquis isn't going to have all that extra stuff.

    • @Whoswac
      @Whoswac Год назад

      The entire line up of GM is fleet models. Can’t say it ain’t fair. It’s not buick fault cord didn’t want to make the GM a true premium luxury vehicle as they sold it as !

      Own both Lesabre better handling vehicle, something not mentioned? Ford vehicles are nortorious for rusting out. Comes down to one preference, if you can't drive doesn't matter what you drive!

    • @vacexpert2020
      @vacexpert2020 3 года назад

      @@leoguy1609 Have had worse luck with Buicks rusting out than Panther platform cars, GM trucks rust worse than Ford trucks, though Dodge is worst, I've owned and driven vehicles from the big 3, and GM trucks last long enough to become rust buckets, Ford trucks don't rust nearly as much, and Dodges usually are scrapped before they truly rust out

    This comparo was GM produced so was biased to begin with. A more fair comparison would have been against the MGM with LS trim instead of the base GS.

    One sad FWD against a well known solid RWD, at least compare in same class

    Own 2001 LeSabre and magnificent '94 Park Ave 😍. So I prefer Buicks. But the training video is typical empty sales nonsense. Both cars are good. Of course, Toyota is the best (also have 2007 Camry)- but Toyota is so boring that it makes Buicks cool.

    This was propaganda by Buick. The Grand marquis LS was way better than the buick. Rwd and full size frame with much more utility uses than the buick.
