    I have a 2004 Grand Marquis LS so I have almost all of the features that the GS lacked. If I drive very carefully on the highway I can get over 30mpg. You could also get a Handling and Performance package on the Grand Marquis. I don't know why they didn't mention it. It had higher spring rates with a rear sway bar and 3.55 Limited Slip axle ratio. Also came with dual exhaust which boosted power to 240hp.

      @@cliflove5141i have a lesabre but the piston rod snapped due to who ever owned it last not treating it last, just today, a friend of mine found a limited lesabre and its only 800.
      I could either fix the limited ( has weather damage from a opened sun roof) or pull the engine and put it in my custom 😅.
      The engine on the limited is in way better shape with only 80k miles on it. Gonna check it out on Thursday

    Notice the Buick gal didn't mention sticker price. In the summer of 2001 I shopped both the LeSabre Custom and the Grand Marquis LS and the Buick was almost $10K more. She bought the Mercury and still has it. People comment on how it still looks almost new after 17 years. The Buick was a nice looking car, for sure, but the price difference wasn't justified, in mine or her opinion.

    I own a sweet '05 Custom LeSabre. Great car. But, wonder why no mention of towing capacity for the Merc? Bet it's 4-5K pounds.

    So much of this information is false. Such as leather was available on the GS model.

    And why they discontinued the best selling sedan in America? Suicide for Buick. If not for LeSabre & Park Ave continuing in China, Buick would have gone the way of Pontiac, Saturn, Olds and Hummer.

    the grand marquis wins, because of it's body on frame RWD and 4.6l V8 same as in the crown vic, the lesabre had a chance to take down the grand Marquis, but it lacked 3 things 1 body on frame 2 RWD and 3 a V8 engine.

    • @zzzhuh
      @zzzhuh 3 года назад +3

      Rear wheel drive isn't nearly as ideal for traction and gas mileage, and neither is a V8. A 4.6L and it barely puts out more HP, and yet it is slower. The Buick is clearly the winner.

      My 99 Lesabre is factory supercharged 3.8 v6 puts out 240hp. And 310 torque.

      @@CDJF1 Factory equipped 3800 with the supwrcharger in a LeSabre? Nope. Park Avenue has it. 240 hp 280 torque.

    This video makes me want to die.
    "The Buick LehSayber is fucking great. Best goddamn car I ever saw, I tellya what."
    Oh really? What about all the backlash towards it- experts calling it the single worst car of the 1990s?
