Had an interesting idea. People are now ghost camming the gtr r35 engines. Honda engines got cam tuning....k series ghost cam lol. Also for billet street builds. Could you use it as a warm up indicator for timing?
On installing valve springs: I just discovered valve keeper installer/removers, and my god are those things life savers! It takes literally less than 1 minute to remove or install valves. No risk of damage. No ballistic valve springs. No retainers disappearing into the Retainer Dimension, or wherever it is they go when they fly across the workshop.
Ive been building all these engines for 20 years and my eye candy radar is high, i want all of these tools even though i've made most of these already haha. They look so pretty!
Finally a spring compressor that is good enough to warrant buying! I can get rid of my home made junk now! And the semi adjustable ring compressor will be so much faster and safer, never had a problem with the adjustable type as I always take the time to seat and adjust it correctly but now that time will be free!
Yeah Andre really enjoyed using that. You can do a lot with a little, but nice tools can certainly make it all a bit less painless in time and effort costs 😎 - Taz.
@needmoreboost6369 i legit have more spring compressors than i need but the 1/4 drive is a nice touch and will save a lot of time and arduous turning of t handles for dual valve springs. Definitely buying one and the ring compressor as I do lots of KA24DE RB and JZ stuff.
Easily the spring removal press table and the lock holders. Place the locks in the holder over the valve on assembly, tap the lock holder over the stem, release the spring. 1 set of locks in place in about 3 seconds.
Cool, sometimes finding 'that' little tool, that makes things SO much better, can be a real pain, and if there's a kit it's even better. Just going to check, and they may already do it [they don't], but a tool for measuring, and setting, the valve spring heights would be cool - a design with the vernier scale(s) on top of the tool, rather than the side, would be great, because some heads have a lot of material around the spring recesses and so can be hard to read. They may already be made, but haven't seen them yet.
need a 5.7 & 6.4 hemi kit PLEASE, i would buy/preorder both. i work on only hemis and ls and all the specialty hemi tools are junk i buy new ones every engine rebuild knowing theyre gonna break by the time im done with the build
There will be some quality universal tools to help you with your EJ build, for anything specific you can't find or are unhappy with the quality of what you can get your hands on, reach out to HRB. I'm sure the more people requesting specific tools for specific engines the more likely it is they will produce them - Taz.
What about changing valve springs with the head still on the block. Can we stop retainers or the small pieces that hold it together from falling into the block better
Been using bits of lint-free cloth for years - might not work on every engine, but does for most - what might be more of a problem is if they fall outside the engine, and off something on the floor.
In 2006 my mechanic put pressure on the head with some kind of tool so he could change the valve springs and retainers while the head was still on the engine.
You guys do a vid about tuning a Catalyst converter with aftermarket ECU ? I'm planning to install myn soon was just wondering 14.7:1 how much does the mixture need to move to get it working ? Say 14:1 to 15:1 ? Or is that to much ?
Already a Barra section on the site so can't be too far off getting started on those I reckon! Andre has used the HRB valve compressor and was super stoked with how much easier it made life for him on that front. While we can't test and use everything on the market out there, off the cuff we can certainly vouch that these tools deliver 😎 - Taz.
Will any kits be made for the Ford Windsor, Dodge Magnum, Mitsubishi 420a and Japanese motorcycle engines? Thanks for the video coverage . Pantyeatr1 😎

Yep I’m buying the JZ and K series for sure, maybe they’ll make some bmw or other rotary stuff too. Definitely a good idea.
Thank you!

Love this!
In case anybody was wondering, a JDM 4g63 is precisely the same as a USDM or any other 4g63.
A 4g63 is a 4g63,it's in the name explains it
