And that is why they are the two best Masterchef winners in Canada, in my opinion. Along with Christopher, who was David’s closest competition in season 2 and was finally able to win on his own in season 7!

The difference between these shows and American shows in how the contestants talk about themselves and each other is amazing. There's no rudeness or aggression, it's great.
I would definitely prefer for contestants to be more respectful and humble among themselves, as well as the judges not being so “oh this was a terrible decision for you. You’re awful!” I really like watching MasterChef Canada because they don’t put emphasis on the drama; the focus is on the food and the chef making that food.
Eric and David are like one in the same. They always doubt themselves and then destroy everyone else, they love the pressure, and they both seem like the protagonist of their seasons

I love David's personality and backstory among them. At first, I was rooting for Line. But, when I saw him being humble. Not saying any negative about the others, wants to push other people to their limits so that judges can see their hidden capabilities is alot. He sees them as his equal and I love him even more because of it. I never thought of him winning since all of them are a strong cook but he stands out the most because of his innovative and passion on cooking. He cooks from the heart, determination and soul. The best winner among them, also. He's very soft-hearted. Must protect!

I do think there's nothing wrong with chasing for the prize, as long as you're not overall full of pride. Line is passionate to experience the fruit of the labor, David was on for a competition to turn his life around and at least make his efforts known not only for his family but to and for the whole world.

I love Masterchef Canada so much. It's very clean, and not meaningless dramatic. And I think if chef Michael should be a story teller as well. If the contestant does great job and chef Michael starts his judgement first, 90% that the contestant will start proudly crying. A perfect human being knows how to warm people's heart
When Claudio asked David who he thinks is Line's dangerous rival and David said it's the guy making the ice cream ( meaning David), he's not wrong he literally went toe to toe with Line in the Finale and won the title.
I guess what’s so impressive to me at least is how humble this guy is, not many people have the skills he has and can remain humble and kind to others. Blessed 🙏

Even Trevor was near unbeatable in his season, just the tuna dish and the mille-feuille were not up to his mark. The same goes Jennifer, even she was near unbeatable.

I am 38 like David. Maybe could pull 2-3 simple signature dishes. Amazed how he mastered skill of cooking without any cooking background. He is just like talented Musician.

When claudio said "its like a trained chef" i suddenly remembered that these people ARENT trained chefs, just normal people who have a passion for making food. That reminded me of how impressive this actually is.
Not going to lie, Line's final main dish during the finals looks like something you see at an art gallery that is over designed and makes you think "...why is this here?"

Even Trevor was near unbeatable in his season, just the tuna dish and the mille-feuille were not up to his mark. The same goes Jennifer, even she was near unbeatable.

When claudio said "its like a trained chef" i suddenly remembered that these people ARENT trained chefs, just normal people who have a passion for making food. That reminded me of how impressive this actually is.
