Christopher was my favourite candidate that season. He was just so friendly and educational the entire time. Plus there was a point in the competition where he was winning as many challenges as the eventual Master Chef of that season. I wasn't expecting him to get so far because of the lack of screentime he got in the first half of the season.

Jennifer was seriously impressive in this one. She was able to come up with a great replacement while dealing with the time limit, and even managed to deliver the most beautiful looking dish of the bunch.
I wonder if Chef Michael would consider using her recipe in the future, it's a good alternative for those with egg allergies :)

Unpopular opinion: I respect Chef Alvin. He's an accomplished self-taught chef with 3 Michelin stars and even though he likes to yell sometimes, he's really informative and his criticisms are always constructive. Plus, it's amusing how he looks like an anime character.
I don’t think this opinion is unpopular at all. I think the only people who dislike chef Alvin are the ones who see season 1 clips out of context.

I don't see how he's trying to be Gordon Ramsay..like there's literally nothing about him or his attitude remotely similar to Ramsay apart from him criticising the dish.... Which is kind of what a critic is.
There are people who helped each other in the semifinals and the finale, but Line won’t even help one person do the smallest thing in one of the smaller cooks. Really shows who she is.

If you mean 7:35, it's the cartilage in the lobster claw that he pulls out not plastic. When he talks about the plastic he means the plastic wrap covering the ramekin (the little ceramic pot) burnt/melted off in the oven so it didn't trap the steam when cooking the mousse and steam it properly.

Out of all the master chef Canada judges, Michael seems the most fair. Gives credit where credit is due, praises creativity and resourcefulness when it works, but always gives slight critiques so they can keep learning.
