@iwishiwasthomasshelby difficult to prove in comments, but he worked at a cactus club in edmonton Alberta with me for a about 8 months or so? Was a very big personality.
@@jackthompson7546 I'm just saying, the reason I asked is because, how come he went from winning MasterChef to working in a restaurant? Are you sure it wasn't before he won?
@iwishiwasthomasshelby no this was after, our chef hired him as a personal hire. And took to actually doing stuff for once because he had a big shot to "train". I think it was him pursuing an actual chef career or futhering his knowledge in culinary after his win.
But you could really see the effects of his win, where he would miss work because he was at a party all night. Or word even come to work really strung out after a weekend. I have him on Facebook, and lately he seems to be doing some more short style videos of home cooking. He looks healthy and happy :)
Trevor and Becky are the only confidence Chefs I’ve seen win, and the judges always called them cocky lol.

Eric had moments of confidence but he mostly didn’t let that show after his audition.
Mary always seemed surprised when they liked her dish the best, she knew she was good, but didn’t seem to think she was the best.
They did get irritated with Becky and Trevor for being confident lol
Becky is totally calm but confidence at the same time
I'd argue David was also equally confident tho more "humble" which is why the chef's (esp Claudio) didn't rlly ever bring up any issues with it. He was godly in his season anywyas
The fact that literally every good cook that season rooted for Trevor in the finale feels good
i mean Thea cried her way out of every elemination so the vote would automatically go to Trevor lol
Not too be mean to Thea but she wasn't the strongest cook of this season and the weakest runner up so far, well in Season 7, she changed and matured and become stronger. But, she cried her ways to finals and most of the time she's always in bottom. Even when the good cooks like Aaron, Miranda and Barried had one bad dish, they saved her instead of them.
@@margarethmichelina5146 I honestly think Miranda should have been the finalist.....she is like the cook with guts girl in the finale.....Aaron was very good but his plans were not always successful and Barry actually always got saved in my opinion

@@thelastking1119eric was the anime mc, he just barely managed to squeeze in by impressing chef alvin with his words. He kept pushing himself and kept learning and displayed enormous growth in a quite a short period of time and ultimately ended up winning the competition.
Trevor and Barrie were always my favorites in the Canada show, they were just as good at being team mates as opponents and seemingly always respected and inspired each other even when competing. Pretty rare for this show actually.
Trevor Was so Chill, He kinda had this charm which made us root for him
Honestly Trevors one of my favourite contestants. This guy is without a doubt one of the best platers ive ever seen.
masterchef taught me that in order to make good food you need to be either an engineer,a construction worker, an accountant or a plumber

These are definitely not average chefs, all these contestants have worked in professional restaurants. The level of techniques they have you don’t get from cooking at home.
Trevor said he worked in a restaurant before but only as a dishwasher and said he learned plating and techniques by watching professional chefs on tv and all 😳
