I found a gorgeous pattern for a blanket calling for 30 granny squares (9”) and now must join them before doing all the border stitches that I’m looking forward to. First time I understood matraze - stitch made by crocheting! WoW, thank you so much! I'm a knitting teacher and knit since ab.44 years, but specificly this one crochet stitch I was blind for. So you helt the light for me and made my day. Thanks and be blessed!Btw now myself disabled, not „only“ an ambulant whellzdriver I can't teach anymore, but give short tipps to all who ask. Now they all want all for nothing, although my money is less, way less than before and that was only as much as I needed and a bit I could give to pple in need. Now often I'm in need and noone cares. Without a few friends who are with me although my life now is I'd never be there anymore. I learned: Friends are worth way more than to be healthy. God is worth more than everything on earth. Td Be blessed and be healthy and „feed your friends“ ;)

I am pretty new to crochet and I love your channel. Everything is presented so well. Your directions are clear. The video is clear. There wasn't any background sound distracting from the instruction. There wasn't a cat and you didn't waste a bunch of time saying stuff that didn't need to be said. I LOVE the Flat Slip Stitch join. I am making a pair of really simple baby booties that uses a main color and a contrast color. They have to be seemed up the back. I had planned on doing one of the invisible stitches, but having seen this stitch, I now plan on using it up the back in the contrast color as an accent. I think it will be really cute that way. Thanks, Toni!

Thank you Toni! Friends who have picked up crochet as a hobby over the past two years (2020-2022) have conquered the granny square to establish tension and gauge. Now they have lots of squares. This video gives them four great options to tackle their squares. 👍🏻 I have been following you for at least 5 years(you still had a full time job) on Instagram, and find your tutorials, live videos, and creations to be wonderful. I love your patient voice most of all. Seeing how other people crochet the same connecting methods can help refine a skill, even if it has been performed for 40 years or more. The right teacher can make all the difference. ❤

Oh my God thank you! I recently reverted back to working on single chains. Right now I'm focusing all my attention on making myself a purse. And I had my mom go and get yarn needles because I'm likely the only one in my family to even attempt to use them. For the past couple years my mom had me doing granny squares for blankets which gets so repetitive but makes very beautiful work. I recently made myself a triangular shawl and my mom was like I don't even wanna know how you learned how to do that. I use to follow made with love by glama but now I'm subscribed to you I hope to learn more from you so I can be very accomplished.

I made crochet jewelry for many years, so i have the chain stitch down like a science. It became much too tedious, now, i have of every gauge and color of yarn.. So I have to make some stuff. Blankets and sweaters for everyone! Lol. I used up my scarf option in the knitting phase of 2000.

The Mattress Seam is my favorite of these. Next is the Flat Sl St seam. Following those, my favorite is the Whip St in both loops, then one loop. My least favorite is the SC seam. Guess I like the SC least because it makes ridges in the area where you join your pieces. And, the MATTRESS SEAM seems to be best for binding garments together. TYSM for sharing this video with us. It is very informative. 😻

Following your method I felt like I was crocheting (which I really was). The stitches were even and I was able to get 4 squares done in no time! I'm going to look at more of your other tutorials, see if I can learn something else.

I’m making a blanket out of granny squares and this really helped😍. I’m a beginner and this is my first big project that I’m doing😊😏 I’m hoping that it will be very comfortable so that I can sleep with it 🥱😴

Excellent video!! Like some of the other commentary, I have quite a few squares to join to finish a couple of afghans and finding the appropriate joining method was crucial for a neat afghan.
    Thank you for video!!

Thank you so much for these four ideas to connect squares. Each has its own look, and it's nice to be able to decide which particular look you want on your finished product. Very nice!
