Description -
The Garden Groom Pro features a unique 'shred & collect' system that makes the job of hedge trimming much faster and easier: as you cut, none of the waste is left to fall to the ground.
Its precision ground rotary blade spins behind a protective grille, drawing leaves and branches (up to 20mm / ¾" diameter) into the unit where they are finely cut -- with the debris stored neatly in the included collection bag.
As the Garden Groom Pro operates at such high speed the clippings are much finer than those of a conventional hedge trimmer with their volume reduced by as much as 90% - making it ideal for composting.
The Garden Groom Pro is fitted with a hardened stainless steel cutting blade with a safety interlocking system concealed behind a protective front grille. This virtually eliminates the risk of cutting the mains cable. Наука
I've used an electric B & D trimmer for years. It's been a workhorse but I no longer am, and wanted to make my job easier. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG Around the corners, the small side yard etc. was a pain to run the cord out to, so I bought this thinking I'd use it for touch-ups and hard to reach places. Well, I haven't used the corded one since! This is so light weight and so much easier. It has all the power I need because I start wearing down after about 20 minutes and I haven't run out of battery yet. It takes about two hours to charge. I've used it about twice a week for a month and still have line left too. My favorite feature is the blade inside the shield that keeps the line trim to where I don't even have to think about it. You can see from my pic that it's been heavily used and I probably should clean it more often. Very happy with it.
I've had one of these for nearly six years. The big advantage is that it shreds the clippings into the bag and they can go straight into the compost. There is a knack to using it, but once you've got it - it's great!

We had one for a month or two.
It was too heavy to use.
Why am I watching this? How did I get here??
I invented a laser beam to cut hedges. The problem was the laser cut everything past the hedges including the wood fence and a squirrels tail further down the street. Back to the drawing board.
I had the same problem.
We usually use a glass
optical disk diffuser mounted opposite of the beam which works really well. The deam is less concentrated and less likely to burn though.
Our Selachimorpha-mounted system still needs R&D work though. They keep pruning their own tails off.
This may be quite useful for small hedges. But in his examples there is a lot of bending and stooping which is probably straining on the body and back. I use my articulating hedge trimmer attachment on my grass trimmer. I can do everything without having to bend or reach. Lower portions of the hedge, I rotate the hedge trimmer downwards, and I can cut without having to bend down. On higher sections I have an extension tube that increases my reach. And for the top of my 9 foot hedge I just set the hedge blade horizontal and trim it from the safety of walking on the ground. I couldn't imagine the time and risk of using the GroomPro on a ladder for the length of my hedge.
The idea with the collecting bag is acutally the most interesting, but thats it. Not efficient in cutting if you only cut once or twice a year. Normal hedge trimmer still more efficient.
you can use a lawn vac to clean up the hedges.... but he needs to figure out a way to make a bigger cut. Maybe an over extended blade?

I need to purchase the long sleeve with the bag attached. The zipper broke. Can you advise me how to order this? Thank you
The key bonus is easily the collection vaccuum. Consider the time to cut+cleanup, not just cut. Depending on your application this may be easier than a traditional hedge trimmer. My hedges sit over lava rock, which is something I cannot easily clean up debris from because trimmings get caught in the rocks and you cannot rake over lavarock.
The key bonus should be the fact it cuts quick AND cleans up but it just does'nt does it lol. Petrol cutter and tarp or garden vac = job done and quick. :-)

Doubt you'll see this used in a lawn service business. The average landscaper using a power cutter is many times faster. Nice idea though.

what is the power compacity of the trimmer voltage
Good morning, Does anyone know if this item is still available? I clicked on the link and couldn't locate the item.
you should have a gas version of that! damn cord gets in the way.
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
I am in South Africa. Where can I buy this ? Thank you
Novel idea but the traditional hedge trimmer is far more practical.
Nice
This actually might be useful for small box hedges. My Stihl combi is awkward to use for that type of trim. Everything else about this product isn't good at all (tiny collection box, cutting area. Also 3.5 kg so not even that light for the likely target audience)

As a professional hedge-cutter......
I'm speechless 😟
But would love to try one, maybe as part of a stag-du activity or something 😂
Professional hedge cutter? Is there such a thing???
@@nastyham5302 ha har I've been waiting for that 🤠
Not so far as traditional 'trade-school' goes, no - but another way to put it is that I've been making a healthy living by specialising in it for the last 6 years 👍
Or another way would be to say I've cut several thousand.. hardly something to brag about, I know, but it has enabled me to live pretty comfortably otherwise 😃
@@rattlin9194 fair enough lol , i used to work as a gardener for the local council although I was always relegated to the Strimmer, or blower 😂
@@nastyham5302 hey don't knock yourself, there's some good skill to be found in both of those things!👍
@@rattlin9194 it was a good job to be fair, due to move house soon and the new place has some ridiculous hedges along with two 25 foot conifers so can't wait to get stuck in again,
Ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Maschine, schade das mein Garden Groom nicht mehr so ganz funktioniert.
May I come for a visit?
According to the owners manual
Not while I'm using the garden groom, perhaps another day...

Can hear it losing power so obviously not big enough motor. Poor reach. Can't actually see what is being cut which is a major disadvantage.

An angle grinder for shrubbery
are there any independent reviews on this machine ?
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
Hedge trimming on a hot day isn't enough of a bitch!
There must be an overly complex, heavier and in alot of situations impossible to use way to do this...
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
The only possibly slight of attraction with that product is the idea of trimmings being collected , everything else about it is so bad.
Can't compare with regular hedgetrimmer speed....small round blade doesn't give you a good orientation to follow the straight line.... to save the idea - a larger blade and petrol powered unit (which has more rpm than electric - same with elect. chainsaw vs pet. chainsaw) could improve the cutting quality and the speed of cutting, avoiding you to go over and over the same area again and again....... otherwise very interesting, would like to see petrol version ;)

What is the name that hedge plant?
maruchan368ify that's yew hedge. It's slow growing and has red berries in autumn. The whole plant is poisonous.
Looks big to me.How heavy is it and is it practical to use on a ladder?
The safety aspect is good not cutting cables or yourself.

Super Teil!!!
Funktioniert nur sehr bedingt und nach eienr gutem halben Stunde Einsatz flog regelmäßig die Sicherung raus......kannst Du vergessen bloß nicht kaufen!!!
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
I can cut with a petrol hedge cutter at 10x the speed or more. Then it takes a short while to collect the waste. This would be too slow for me.
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
😉®
One word: ridiculous. (And yep, I'm a professional gardener.)
Menck W. Do you not know how to cuss?

We want this machine sir 🙏🙏🙏 please send your address
my mate had one of these, the whole fucking street laughed at him went he took it for a spin, it was hilarious. So if you want to become the laughing stock of your neighbourhood, invest in one immediately.
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
Ahahaha!
Looks like a ball ache to use. Get yourself a stihl or husky petrol cutter, use a tarp to collect the fallen cuttings and save what looks like could be days compared to this thing lol. I think what you are selling here is just an idea but not a good practical piece of kit. Would suit being sold by the likes of JML or QVC etc. Theres no point going over the same bit of hedge like you're polishing it is there?
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
Dont waste your storage space with this.
Jairo Ortega This is a great machine, how can you talk when you don't even owe one or have used one?
Jairo Ortega but you are gay your boyfriend told me
You should probably get one.
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
Hes fighting to get all of the stems cut. Looks like the rest of these crap machines to me.
Big time lol

fuck that bull shit my echo hedge trimmer works great one swipe i got a smooth cut =)
Garbage, Why does he have to go over the same area 30 times to get a smooth cut?! Waste of time. So many things wrong with this thing.
He's polishing the hedge lol
warrior7772 don't diss it until you try it!

Warrior7772 is absolutely right.
ruclips.net/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/видео.html
just a gimmick. hedge trimmer far faster.
I have one but must state this device is very heavy so if you don't like lifting much do not buy this product.
At 2:38 it says the Garden Groom has been designed to cut up to 20mm growth, any longer could damage the machine...
Then at 3:40 it says the Garden Groom has been designed to trim Hedge growths of 150mm or less. So someone is lying here! lol.
At 6:24.. 'Make a general inspection of the area, looking for foreign objects'... Well I did and I found one in my wife's bush... Now he is in intensive care!
20mm refers to the thickness of the twigs, and 150mm to the length.

That looks horrible. Ineffective and way too much work. Machines are supposed to make humans jobs easier not harder!
