Thanks for the great vid. just did the service and my shock is like new! I had an issue where I couldn't push the ifp cover down to get the snap ring out. The oil was so airated and pressurized it had the ifp toped out inside the tube. Had to open the bleed port to release the pressure then all was good. Another pro tip is the machine adaptor also threads into the ifp bleed hole. I got quite a bit of air out of there
DO DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLETELY DRAIL AND TEAR DOWN EVERYTHING just to remove the rebound adjusters mine was forcing out oil after main canister de-pressurising only plus piggyback draining.
If I only want to fix the slurpy, out-of-the-box Fox garbage, can I just purge the piggyback, hook up to the bleed port and run the fluid back and forth, seal up, pump up the piggyback and g2g?
The adapter that you use to pump the ifp to 100 psi is the same needed for rockshox monarch? Because i need one but the original fox is no more available everywhere, so i need to know if the rockshox one is the same
Hey, friends. ‘21-‘23 X2 is defective product. Do not attempt to service it.
Send it Fox to have a new seal head installed, or it will blow up again.
Would they do it for free or do you know how much it would be? I’m in that boat right now

As a home mechanic after watching this I'm sending it Fox for a service 😂
If it’s ‘21-‘23 shock they send a new one back 😎
@@OtterMTBtech is that even if it just needs a service? I may have not yet serviced the one I got in 22....

Did you read the first comment?
great man can you do with the float x, it's a while that i would try it
I have the tools and shocks, it looks simple, I ordered just 1 knock off tool on eBay
Do I also need to replace the seals after a whole season of driving?
I don’t if the shock is clean inside. If it’s a mud pie I’d replace
Excellent video.
Cool 😎 💋
Don’t you not have to charge the piggyback with nitrogen? Or is air good enough to not have any leakage over time?
air will leak faster, but it works fine,
Just got it yesterday, please thise adjusment keys, may I use some common allen keys or they are some special?
That PT THH-1 set is too much expensive.
Those are fine

No I didn’t even take them out
great video! thanks!
Your Welcome comment back if you bleed it without trouble. Its not to hard

I don’t know about monarch, but the Rcokshox one works, it’s just a extension for the pump no special threads
This is gold😂 subscribing

Great video! Do you have one for the float x by chance?
Not yet!
I have a dox2 can you use slickolium or wpl instead of float fluid?
I used nothing so ya probably fine
Even if my 2022 works well will they warranty it for a new one?
😎 yes USA at least

Is this effort worth? Or should I stick with my easy serviceable rock shox?
Coil is the right answer
and whats the differense with the updated parts? what do they do that this standard cannister doesnt?
New seal head $60
Today I learned I been wiping my ass wrong this entire time cuz I never concerned myself with bubbles
Does it work if you didn’t bleed it?
No trees where chopped or felled in this video .......Honest
ok so your one looks diferent ti mine so is this the updated bits?
Yes don’t service it unless you get a new seal head.
juses fuck 130 dollers for the basic tools??? this is not a cheap bastard thing.
