If you want something actually somewhat Korean, substitute the sweet chili and oyster sauce for gochugang and soy sauce. Ginger, honey, sesame seeds ect. if you want too
I made it today. The salad was to sour for our taste but the bowl was Amazing!! I changed the beans for zucchini and we loved it. Thanks for the recipe !!
I’ll be trying this recipe. Thank you so much for your videos. I’ll be getting your cookbook soon. I plan on using your fabulous recipes to do meal prep this year. You make it all so easy.
This is the second of your videos I have seen so far and I saved both for this weeks cooking, the sticky beef is going to be cooked today :D I really like your recipes so far and I love that you added the nutritional values at the end of the video, thanks for that
Something I like to do just to add some more protein is to cook my rice in chicken broth/bone broth. Lightly salting it also gives it some flavor as well. I like to cook in pressure cooker. Thanks for the awesome recipe!
Looks delicious and easy! I wouldn’t call this a Korean beef dish as someone grew up there. Typically ground beef is not used as a main serving meat dish in Korea, it may be used in meatballs, fried rice or dumplings. Most cases you would use stew cut or thinly sliced beef instead. Green beans and Coriander are actually foreign to Koreans (they are mostly found in Chinese or other South Asian dishes); Hoisin sauce is Vietnamese; Sweet chilli sauce is Thai; Koreans eat short grain rice not Jasmine rice. Having said that the recipe balances many flavors and looks delicious, I would like to try sometime!
What are the size of the prep bowls you have? I’m on a calorie controlled diet so trying to keep portions smaller. Do they do smaller ones? Many thanks!
Hey ! I enjoy your website and all. But could you link the precise recipe on your new videos ? Cause it's sometimes hard to find the one you're prepping without any search bar and all. I was following your recipies with the quantities in description, like you used to do :)
Any particular Sriracha Mayo you would recommend to use for this, or do you make your own? I know there are many store-bought but really not familiar with which ones are any good. Thanks.
I am asking because I am looking for recipes that I can use for my husbands lunch but he does not always have access to microwaves or other heating options while on the job. I will be trying this recipe as a dinner option regardless. I do wish it was easier to find options that don't require reheating, though. Many blue collar jobs don't have an office break room and sandwiches get boring after a while. Just an idea if you happen to need something for inspo for a series.
I imagine aside from the Cucumber kimchi it's probably not great cold as rice tends to be dry/hard when cold and the fat and oils in the ground beef tend to coagulate until you reheat it
Jack, can I please ask what you think of your Always Pan. I wanted one of these for Christmas, but I saw mixed reviews and decided against it. Would love to hear your thoughts.
This recipe looks delicious btw. Our youngest is home for Christmas and busy revising for final uni exams. This would be perfect to have in the fridge for him to have at the ready. 😋❤️
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I got an Always pan for myself for Christmas. I like it. Browns well and on a lower cooking heat than I had in my other non stick pans. I’m happy with mine. I read reviews about the base not sitting flat, well mines flat, I think they buckle if you overheat it, but all pans will. Or put water in after cooking…I don’t let my husband touch the pans after we have served up since he did that once. Nice lightweight too I can carry it with food in it one handed to my serving area.
Oh yum. These look great. Cause I can’t eat chilli what do you suggest I add to the beef in the place of sweet chilli sauce? Or just omit that part.? Hope you had a good Xmas.
Thank you Joey! My Christmas was very nice. Hope yours was too! As for the sweet chilli, it can be left out and you can add a little extra oyster or hoisin sauce
@ thank you Jack. Hoisin it is. So glad to hear your Christmas with your beautiful Jordie and baby bump enjoyed the day together. Christmas was ok for me, although too darn hot. Was ill for 2 days after. No idea what it was I just felt unwell. I do have Ca so might have just overdone it in the heat.
Man I miss being able to have this much sodium 😂 I'm on a low-sodium diet due to blood pressure and can only have 1500mg of sodium a day. I can probably make it less salty. Looks fantastic!
This Korean Sticky Beef Bowl recipe is an absolute game-changer! The quick prep time and high-protein content make it perfect for busy weeknights or meal prepping. I love how you’ve combined rich flavors with nutritious ingredients to create a satisfying and healthy dish. The sticky beef looks tender and full of flavor, and the entire meal seems so balanced. I’m definitely going to give this a try! Thanks for sharing such a delicious and efficient recipe-it’s sure to become a regular in my kitchen! 👏

@@SnoopA5 he uses gochugaru, you don't really need gochujang additionally
Tried this tonight. SO GOOD! Definitely in my rotation now
I love the cucumber salad...so much flavour 💕
Safe to say that most of my regular dishes have come from you, easily my favorite cooking channel on yt 🙏
That salad is on my hit list for the next 2 days. I'm growing cucumbers, beans and cherry tomatoes so I'm adding them into the salad. Job done.

This is exactly the recipe I needed for a quick and delicious dinner.

Easily one of the best channels for prep food
What brand storage containers are being used? I need those!
Another great recipe 👍👏🫶🏻
Thank you so much 👍
Great recipe, added some extra chilli flakes for a bit more heat, really tasty. Perfect start to my new year diet.

Yup, people mistakenly think rice in water is how you cook it, you only need liquid and rice. I use beef broth and its amazing flavour.

I feel so dumb not thinking about removing the cucumber flesh for other dishes I've made 😂 Great tip!!

I use kewpie brand. It’s available in Australian supermarkets. Not sure where you are though 🙌 you can use any of your favourites
Looks tasty. How long will the cucumber salad keep in the fridge separately ?
Top recipe yet again chef! Any chance you could do a recipe for chicken kathi rolls?
Could you provide the name/brand for that frying pan please? :)
Looks like Hexclad
Hey it’s - our place. The pan itself is the titanium always pan pro
thanks for sharing!
Thank u
Looks great.. what would be a good choice other than cucumber?
Nice side of kimchi
this background music is so chill
Would you reccomend reheating? If so, what do you suggest? Or can it be eaten cold?
All the details are in the video 🙌

is it okay to replace the rice with potatoes?
Definitely

Where to buy this lunch box ?
In the description.
Love rhe simplicity of the recipies. Would like some vegetarian/alternatives options as I have reduced meat/red meat intake.
Why do you call white onions brown or yellow onions?
White onions and brown (yellow) onions are two different types. What i used in this video is brown/yellow
Only need 6 of these a day for proper protein intake.
Do these marcos and calories include the huge amount of sauce added?
You can just use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking tho, not a problem at all.
Yes but it’s very strong in flavour and will ruin this dish
Nothing like sticky beef
Can you please do a keto diet series pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls

If you add chicken bouillon powder too your rice as it cooks, gives a great flavour to your rice, we use Lee Kum Key brand

Rice isn't really high in protein?
Way to state the obvious. Use less or replace it if you're one of those keto people.
Only problem is when warming the food the cucumber is in the box .. I prefer packing my salads separately from my main food
@jammal63 well, he DID say he only put it in the boxes for presentation purposes...
