You know that chicken and burger(s) are two different things and NOT synonymous with the other....right? Please tell us you're not that dumb!@ChefJackOvens
If you're really trying to keep it lean, you can use egg white only for the dredge and switch out half the mayo for greek yogurt without too much impact on flavor. It would up the protein a bit also.
@@Rotciv1929 nothing wrong with egg yolks at all! But whites are still great protein for so little calories If you’re really tryna knock the calories down, it’s a good trick to have?
If you want the calories down skip the sauce skip the bun skip the breadcrumbs just lettuce and chicken breast. Neat trick. Seriously if you want lean food don’t make a burger.
This is amazing. I don't like deep frying stuff in oil so the oven method is very appreciated. Also congrats on the book again Jack. Very happy for you.
Cornflake crumbs are great! I started using them many, many years ago instead of breadcrumbs because my son had a wheat intolerance. He was under one year old when he started reacting to wheat, getting really bad asthma. I still always do chicken snitzels with cornflake crumbs and he is turning 40 soon and although can tolerate wheat better now, doing it with cornflake crumbs is still his favourite.
Chef, I made this for dinner tonight and for the next four nights and…wow! So delicious. That sauce is better than any burger sauce I’ve had. I love burgers but I’m also trying to lose fat and gain muscle, so gotta modify a little bit. But I didn’t miss my usual burger order. This totally hit the spot. Can’t wait to try your other recipes! Thank you for sharing all of this with us! ❤ 😋
Fantastic recipe, thanks Jack! These are great to keep in the freezer and fulfil that burger craving we all get. Super filling as well, unlike McDonald's, where you are hungry 30 minutes later. To all the people saying this isn't healthy and you can't lose weight. You need to understand CICO (calories in calories out). These burgers are filling and high protein, so keep you full for a long time. If you are in a calorie deficit, you lose weight. He isn't saying eat these for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's about balance. Use this as a tool on your weight loss journey. Make sure you are eating a balanced diet from all the food groups, planety of fruit, veg, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Track your calories and lose weight. If you try to be 100% perfect, then you won't be consistent.
Hey Jack, Love your videos. I like it how you come down to the level of the 'general non chef public people' and present your content (for eg: ''most of you may not have big pans to fry all chicken at once, so do them twice in separate batches"). Many chefs fail to understand this and think that their viewers have pots and pans that can only be bought if you migrate to the ends of the world, which is why I think you have a unique style of content. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to many more cooks! (Do you ship your cook book to AUS?)

Jack you really on fire with this one. I’m eating this one for three days now and I have a feeling I will make it again for like 3 weeks in a row. It’s amazing. More healthly alternatives like that. Thank you Jack!
What I like about is this is you don't deep fry the chicken, I'm not shipping the oil spray but it's a nice alternative here. For something even healthier I would recommand a carnivore mayo made with whole eggs and very few oil, improved with garlic and tomato and you offer yourself the best sauce for burgers. Also go for goat cheese with chicken, the association is neat and goat cheese is less fat than most cheese.

Adding to this, another way to lose extra weight eating these burgers, which look excellent, would be to source either store bought low carb buns, or find a recipe for low carb bread buns.and make your own, although i will say, Its harder than you think to get a good one, but once you do, and you replace high carb bread with the new low carb version, the weight will drop off. These would definitely be chicken burgers and not chicken sandwiches. Although a burger is a type of sandwich the name helps identify what you're getting. When you refer to something as a burger it's usually a ground product formed into a patty. When I think of a chicken sandwich it's usually a filet or slices off a larger piece. You hear people refer to a burger patty but you never hear them referred to a sandwich Patty. Some people prefer a filet off of a chicken breast, but I for one always prefer a patty. To each their own!😊
that looked easy, definatley gonna try, but i would like my cheese(preferably one slice between the chickenpatties, like 3 slicesbottom, middle and top) and melted. should i use a propane torch for that? or throw on the cheese slices in the last minute in the owen?
They're so good! you can place the cheese on a couple minutes before they come out if you want them to melt over the patties. You can also use a blow torch or put them under the grill/broiler

That's a sandwich... Yes chicken sandwiches are awesome 👍🏻
But it’s called a burger bun not a sandwich bun 😎
Nah, it's a chicken burger.
You can also use a blow torch or put them under the grill/broiler
can you freeze with lettuce & sauce?. looking for way to take out of freezer and then able to just eat 6 hrs later without using microwave
Just freeze the patties by themselves. Everything else is super easy to pull out and get ready
The patties should be frozen alone
One chicken pattie would be enough for me lol but looks yummy. Thanks Chef Jack.😊
Totally agree, you could definitely make this a single patty burger!
Low calories so I can eat all 5 in one sitting! thanks chef!
Enjoy!
Made it today. Really good. I finished it the the pan with some vegetable oil to get it really crispy.
Sounds great!
did the cornflakes make much of a difference compared to reg breadcrumbs?
Not really to be honest with you. I just felt like trying it. You can use either and have very similar macro amounts
Question: do you cook then freeze, or stop at the breading and freeze?
It’s up to you. I’d cook then freeze, pull out the patties when needed and heat then assemble the burger
@@ChefJackOvens Hi jack, made these burgers and they are great! Thanks so much for recipe. Quick question, do you have any tips for freezing then reheating? Best to do in oven or somehow else?
Also love these weightloss meals with the calories & macros provided, keep up the good work!
Do you freeze the patties before or after baking them??
Either or. If you’re looking for a quick assembly then store them after cooking
Jack, if you see this, what can i use instead of egg wash? Im intolerant to eggs and cows milk. would oatilk work. I keep meaning to ask on different vids nut keep forgetting. Cheers 👍🏻
Holy god fuck I made something like this today and they were so good. Thanks for the idea mate.
No worries!
You could sub out the mayo for Greek yoghurt for the sauce, with all those spices you would wouldn’t even notice… I’m just very anti-mayo as it’s full of rubbish and junk calories if it is store bought
Definitely can!
Where did ya buy the buns from. They look decently sized
Coles in Aus
@ChefJackOvens ahh, that's quite journey for some buns haha. Ones in the UK are near universally crap
these burgers are awesome for hitting macros. Although your sauce macros don't seem right? 125g mayo has around 870 calories so one serving of that sauce will have around 170 calories not 56?
I used low fat mayo 💪
Could there be an alternative to using the egg for the dredge? Little boy would love these but has an egg allergy
Buttermilk works well as a replacement
Do you have a link for the spray oil? Can't find I good one for to use with an air fryer that actually sprays ?
It’s a can of spray oil from the supermarket. If you can’t get one, you can buy a spray bottle from anywhere and put oil in it for a homemade version 🙌
