Praying for all the truck drivers ❤
Alex, do you think this shutdown will give more owner operators more freight whatever region this company was servicing?
@Reviewer-qr5gr😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 me too. And I think the reason Alex’s prayers is not working for me is because I’m agnostic. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I may have to become religious.
Stop shunning the tax rolls with 1099. Pay it like everyone else or stay out of business.
If you operated for 5 decades on 1099 then you have scammed 5 decades on 1099...you owe.
Pay it forward or else stay in the shop on a flat tire for the rest of your days.
Bury 1099.
Pay up or stay home. Stop scape-goating this industry for your bucks when you don't pay. The company and company driver both pay.
1099 is a scam game. If you run on it drowned on it. I don't give a dam who you are or how many decades you ran or what your business name is...
Bury 1099 or pay up.
32 trucking companies are now moving from California to Texas
That's good news I love Texas
They’re moving here because Greg abbot is a F’ing traitorous sell out. They’re moving here to switch to automated trucks. Last year he signed bills to make Texas “the” training ground for automation.
Cool story
Come on in, the waters fine!!!
@sleeplesspops3949 everyone can move!
As a resident of California. BOYCOTT CALIFORNIA!!!!
Already do it's on my family's list of places to never ever go and never buy anything from along with New York and half of Illinois the entire state of Colorado. Austin Texas. In Washington DC. That last one cause we don't want to get arrested for being there in the area when something slightly bad might have happened........
Los Angeles was pretty chill early 70's - 90's
Feel it started downhill after 2000
Become a millionaire
Start up a trucking business and take over
All these years he has been using cheap labor. Now he has to comply and does not like it.
Its time to stand up against these folks that dont even understand trucking but make the rules & regs for trucking🤬🤬🤬
What's really sad is that we talk about these injustices like it's the weather, ("hey it's raining again!") as we tolerate rich people destroying our country and our lives.
Yep . Specially stpd truckers . Big companies , corporations , federal government , FMCSA walk all over us and we don’t say or do shit about it !
FJB
Alex, it cost me $1.70 cpm on a 11 year average on all expenses before paying myself a dime....
Loads on the load board are trying to pay $1.80 sometimes less to the truck as an owner operator.... So many people don't know their cost they underestimat and they go out of business and they drive the rates down for those who do know their rates.
Brokers are predators.
And big firms who hire nothing but owner operators and pay low wages are also predators
And the stpd truckers who lease , lease
Purchase and drive for almost nothing !
They are driving rates down to shit !!
Yep exactly, very well said and the first response too, these stupid truckers that shouldn’t be owners, think or “feel” like they are still making some money just because they don’t need to buy a tire that day, or do an oil change, etc. think about it this way, if you have to work an entire day just to pay for an oil change, should you be taking that job? Or if your oil change on your car costs so much that you have to work a whole day to pay it or just not do it, should you really be driving that car? Unbelievable how many useless eaters are truck owners right now gobbling up loads to make nothing and go out of business anyway, driving down rates and screwing everyone else over, literally at the same time for not even any gain to themselves LMFAO just because they’re too stupid to see it
People say I don't wanna get political. You best get political real quick. We can't take 4 more years with these clowns.
DO NOT DELIVER TO CALIFORNIA!
That sounds good but all mega carriers deliver hundreds of loads every day to Cali. And not only mega carriers but all the white volvo mafia fleets who accept cheap freight.
And let their produce rot. It won’t take long to get them to change
yeah... good luck with that one. Drivers can't unite on anything, and they'll pay their bills and feed their family if it means running west.
True, truckers can’t unite. I thought New York was gonna be brought to its knees… yeah right
Truckers hate truckers the older dudes are always running people off the road and flicking people off then they wonder why new drivers suck. Its because of the older people
How much more are we the people going to put up with??? Boycott all blue states!!
Boycotting CA is not good enough, if this company had moved out of CA they might still be in business, MOVE OUT!!!!!
How about if they just reclassify their drivers as employees as they should
@bigguy5361 tell us you're new without telling us you're new.
@@GraceEngineering 27 year safe driving experience here as a company driver so yeah I'm new
Maybe their drivers want to be independent contractors many do @@bigguy5361
@@bigguy5361 Ignoring the fact that cali's AB5 rules are not in alignment with IRS standards for an IC. But hey, who said the "27 year company driver" ever learned anything about the difference.
Move the headquarters to Texas
If a trucker wants to lease his trucks, they should have that right. It's America These COMMIES are killing our industry. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
It's not the lease it's the way they lease
@@higb7it should be their choice, not for the government to decide.
@@higb7how do they lease? I leased mine paid it off. I had to get my own authority but leasing was way more convenient.
@@user-zt6bt8dp2c it's the way they lease.... Some companies lease them on the truck, Don't let them choose their freight, they dispatch the truck, makes the driver pay for everything in the truck, takes pay out of the driver's check Stick it in a maintenance fund, then when they can't run the truck no more find ways to keep the maintenance fund. Etc etc
@@higb7 It's called business and in business there are good deals and bad deals it's how you learn and either sink or swim. The bad leases would go away if people stopped signing up for them. America is the land of opportunity but is also ready to kick your ass at every turn. It is also the land of second chances.
But they not looking at super ego and these Russian companies in Chicago
Then move Superego to Cali. Pleeeeze!
Yeah exactly
Lol
Why anybody goes to California Chicago New York or New Jersey you're nuts all it is is tickets
My last job was a 1099 company driver. I'll never work like that again. It sucked.
Agreed 100%.
I will never work 1099 again. It was a scam game.
All 1099 company driver situations need to be shut down.
I hope all the people that live in California that are truck drivers and that own trucking companies there along with their families and their friends do not support the current party who is in charge of California hint Governor newsom vote him out along with his party Democrat party they are destroying California
We vote but our votes don't count. #rigged
This is a shame. 😢 I hope he can adapt with warehousing containers or something like that. Integrity and honesty should prevail. I wish him and his family and the drivers all the best.
No P/U"s or DEl. in CA. Do not transit thru CA. Do not permit for CA. Problem solved!
Yeah sure. It's like telling people to not breathe
There will be a time when we all gotta stick together and organize a union that is ran and controlled by we the truckers. Listen brothers and sisters we have the power to change things but we all must unite together
Alex I love that you are expressing your opinions bro, keep it up! You have a platform for a reason, and you might as well use it to do good. Especially since there isn’t much good in this industry left. Thank you 🙏
Smart trucking companies stop doing business with and in California. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Literally.
Boycott Commyfornia
Always California. Here in Arizona, home prizes went out the roof. Because of all the California's moving here. Thanks
In September of 2019, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill (AB) 5 into law. The new law addresses the “employment status” of workers when the hiring entity claims the worker is an independent contractor and not an employee.
1. Q. What is AB 5 and what does it do?
A. AB 5 is a bill the Governor signed into law in September 2019 addressing employment status when a hiring entity claims that the person it hired is an independent contractor. AB 5 requires the application of the “ABC test” to determine if workers in California are employees or independent contractors for purposes of the Labor Code, the Unemployment Insurance Code, and the Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) wage orders. The California Supreme Court first adopted the ABC test in Dynamex Operations West, Inc. v. Superior Court (2018) 4 Cal.5th 903. Among other things, AB 5 and later AB 2257 added a new article to the Labor Code addressing these issues (sections 2775-2787).
Sure no else from the country moved there 😂😂😂😂 ill never live in that Hell. Arizona has more crackheads than California 😂😂😂
I love how your intro isn’t long at all and you jump into things good idea for us that hate to wait to hear the news bad or good
"They were enticed by our competition..."
Sounds like they just went to a better paying gig.
Its for one big mega trucking company to take over the hole trucking
Tesla trucks
The blue and white star flag people
Bc they wanna do what they did to the dock workers
If you’re a company driver you should be for this. It’ll only lead to increased wages due to higher operating costs. You allow these mega fleets to kill the industry with these lease/lease purchases
Exactly
How does higher operating costs lead to higher wages? If anything companies are going to have an influx of drivers also flooding in from the broader will create cheaper labor. Companies already hire drivers on work visas and pay minimum wage.
@@user-zt6bt8dp2c you think the carrier is going to accept the same rates when they don’t have drivers paying for trucks they’ll never own
@@Countrycashflow They can’t just automatically raise rates. Nobody is forced to lease on to companies it’s their choice. And if a company has higher operating costs they will look to trim down the work force meaning laying off drivers not raise wages.
@@Countrycashflow also I leased this truck in my profile pic and paid it off.
I hope you everyone is happy for voting for these clowns in office.
Even after all that has gone down, they will vote dem-o-rat again. Why? FREE STUFF AND ABORTION.🦇
Alex!!! I used to love to go to Cali, but don't think I would care to drive a semi there now. A vacation in the redwood forest is still on my list, someday.
I feel that if your an owner-operator with your own MC numbers you are fine.Butt everyone wants the money but not the full responsibility that goes with the insurance and paper work involved.
Why are they listening to California how can this state dictate the trucking industry, get rid of the fmcsa, the epa and the government shouldn't be in this industry they can't even take care of this country
That's because CA runs the whole American country's economy.
They’re not stupid, they’re capable of taking care of this country, they just want to do the opposite
At some point California will regulate themselves out of business. When no one wants to go there and the prices are even higher then they already are they'll figure things out, or maybe not.
Nah, CALIFORNIA is King. Bow down 😎🎭✌️
Move company to another state
BNSF railroad was supposed to build North America's largest container railyard in Barstow CA called "BIG", Barstow International Gateway. It is now in jeopardy because according to CA emissions, there current trains can only operate until 2030.There aren't any electric trains that are even close to being able to handle the load by the 2035 all electric deadline. That's 20,000 jobs CA will piss away.
We’re not supposed to comply that’s how we make change!
It would be awesome if you could talk about the highest paying and most supportive trucking companies. We are all tired of being treated like we are disposable, worthless, cons!
Hey there is another reason they are shutting down.? Alex we met at the California trucking show. We are a California company and we are keeping our California yard open put we are moving corporate to Indiana. The AB5 has a legal loophole built in it. But companies don’t want to hassle with it because it takes time to get set up for it and most companies know about it. but they made their money from the drivers and walking away with their pockets full. Don’t feel sorry for some of these companies. They can stay in business if they want to. Yes the regulations in California is hard but owners need to make the choice to stay in business or like I did move out of California to stay in business. Keep my drivers rolling. Owners can stay in business. Remember if there’s a will there’s a way and a lot of these companies they won’t to anymore so they just look at it while pour me. Pour me California. Everything else is putting me out business. Yes, it is hard, but you can make it if you really want to.
Prayers for my brothers and sister truck drivers out there. California is destroying the trucking industry. Everything in California does it trickles down throughout the country right to my own home, state New Jersey. Needs to step up without truck drivers. This country basically will shut down. America needs to step up their game. I support my brothers and sister truck drivers because I was a truck driver. I know these men and women on a day-to-day basis and it’s not easy
Move the company to another state
Only cowards run away . Stand up , unite and fight for what you guys believe .
Also , today you guys run from California , tomorrow you have to run again from another state .
Your compliance keeps it going….
That is a shame. If they had the time in resources I'm sure Texas would love their business
Thank you California.
This is what happens when you do the right thing!!! God Bless him and his former employees!!!
I really enjoy your show. It's informative. I've been driving a semi for 31 years. But here in recent years. I've heard the people going to california and the ones that live there With frustration, how the local government is. All I can say is get some backbone. Just shut the whole d*** thing down. One thing, my high school teacher told me was never forget. It's we the people, not the government. But until the people stand up for themselves. The government will always try to take advantage. San Antonio texas
Truth
Every truck needs to sit in the yard for 60 days. CA will get the message.
So when the all the supplies like food and water stop coming to CA the laws will change
Never gonna happen. Keep dreaming
Right
Don't complie keep on trucking
We r in the same boat😢
Move out of California
They chose to stay in Cali … what did they expect . We have been saying for years that Cali is not for truckers….. people still choose to stay and keep
Going there.
Open office in Arizona and register there.
Paying the fine maybe the most cost effective way out. If you want to be in business in California. But you will have to sacrifice your convictions on doing things the right way, though the law is an unjust one. Figure out how to fight the right way.
I would go in Lisa a small building or office in another state and get a business license in that state and do all my payroll headquarters somewhere else about my pay roll
Hey government, don't bite the hand that feeds you.Take it easy on the truckers.
One other thing. I remember going to california in the seventies in the late sixties My uncle was one of Sayzar Chavez Cabinet members. Now remember the farm workers organizing. And having backbone. To stand up for what they believed in. So I don't understand why these grown men can't do the same.
California, lol!
Isn't it written somewhere that you have a right to work
They need to pass that law in Chicago not California
It's pretty simple, if you are leased to a company running under their authority, you are not independent. You are literally running/using their authority.
1099 “workers” isnt an owner operator bro
According to the lawyers at knight swuft lease contracters can operate in California as long as 51% of the time they operate outside of California.
its good, again l look at the whole picture, whats the problem is that no ones to change with time, and it will go over the states to comply,
Does this law apply to those who drop loads in California being from Ohio fro example?
It is easier to focus on huge corporations instead of many small companies.
Hi Alex
I thought under the law and constitution when people are injured by the law then the supreme court needs to step in correct?
I love what your doing and I love your videos. But I disagreed with you on this because the trucking companies are providing drivers who do not have the credit or down payment with lease to own programs that never end up providing the driver with the title to their truck. The drivers are paying for the truck payment and then pays the company for maintained and storage and then serving the trucking company’s customers. A true owner operator can work for multiple brokers simultaneously and then own the truck before it is completely broken down. The employer wants to call then owner operators to not have to payroll taxes which affects the entire industry
People should have a choice. Let them choose for themselves
@@todayslist37737 I agree. But many are never, never leases and the trucks get leased to multiple drivers who are told they will drive them away one day and they never do. It’s a scam that that trucking companies pull to make the driver pay for the payment. And then the state doesn’t get payroll taxes such as unemployment insurance.
It's hard at fedex to me and my wife are splitting are loads so other driver can make money
The owner operators will just take thier trucks to an out of state company. If they did not own the truck, then they were company drivers. You can't be 1099 if you don't own a truck, you are a company driver, driving a company truck. Someone has to pay your workman comp and their share of the payroll taxes. Many companies has refused to hire ACTUAL O/O's from California without very annoying work arounds. If I were an Leased O/O, I would move out of CA
the 1099 workers is 85% taken advantage of
And now they're pushing it on a federal level
Can he not move his hq to another state. And still operate
Terribly disappointed in California’s overall economic outlook man‼️🅿️so many trucks just sitting around parked nowadays. 🙏God bless California Truck Drivers and may the Lord provide different ways to make it 🙏💯
Stand Strong 💪 Brothers 🙏❤️
California not enforcing their own laws across the board is a subjective statement. Obviously everyone should be playing by the rules. Mother trucker not knowing what a good Trucking’s job is does not surprise me the least.
This gonna effect the whole industry
If you want to get results refuse to deliver to Government offices and homes. It dont affect them until they dont get there orders.
All I can say is, if they have been in California 25 years and didn’t see the writing on the wall, that company is a part of the problem. It sucks to lose your business but you get what you voted for.
You have to play warfare with these states and their regulations. Instead of simply going by the rules some your company out of California and forces these regulators to meet you on your demands. If they don't have enough trucks to operate in the state, they will have to negotiate.
Move out of California and also stop delivering in California, but also can do by hiring drivers... im not the friend of lease. But stil. CALIFORNIA is just ridiculous
Big government overreach is crushing our country.
If you are a new authority a lot of brokers won’t give you loads so they are trying to get rid of Owner operators
So your telling me this guys whole business model was 1099, wow
But the new this was coming for years in CALIFORNIA so he should have move out of the state or make others arrangements
That should be consider illegal for the government to do anything that makes businesses shutdown.
The more they can close companies and put drivers out of work they can move forward with self driving semi and put drivers behind wheel for $15.00 hour. Just my personal opinion.
Lol yaaaa ok all they have to do is Chang names and get a new mc# if that was the case
Man you posting like this applies to all states
They're actually working this for the federal level
But they stay in California and don't move to a better place. It's their own problem
Omg... i dont care bout commy state
This is pretty dammed strait, if you don't own or lease the equipment, pay for insurance and plates and maintenence, fuel and work when you want to you are a company employee . Its always been that way, if the company is getting away with it thats against the law. I don't care what CA does, and any dammed fool still trying to run a company out of there has lost there mind.
Don’t think for one minute that the union isn’t behind this legislation.
So this good for us truck driver
Leave the produce in CALIFORNIA
So sad man
Corruption, that is trucking companies not dropping companies LO.L
Sue California fir reparations
Smart thing for the companies in California to do move out California
Before I even watched this video I figured the story had to be about California.
My my my smh
