I couldn't be more happier with my GE200! It's perfect for my style (death metal) as all I need is a kickass metal tone and with the proper IR, the GE200 definitely does deliver. I'm using a patch I made using the EV 5050 DS amp model.
Just got mine earlier this afternoon. I dig it a lot. I'm really liking the tones I've dialed up. I downloaded the Seacows IR packs and made two or three patches and recorded a quick throwaway track and it sounds fantastic.
I bought mine last week used for about 200€ and it‘s perfect for me. I only need 3 tones. Clean, Rythm and Lead. At the moment i am playing it through the FX Loop of my Amp. Do you habe any Tips for Power Amps, so i get rid of my monster 120 Watt Amp? Thanks man and great video

@@TaylorDanley After checking out your video and a couple of other videos on the GE200, I just ordered one. It seems like a nice portable way to dial in tones and have some sort of tonal consistency from one rig to another.
It depends on what you need out of it. I haven't used a fire hawk, so I dont know for sure... but I believe it uses line 6s old HD models. I have a PODHD pro, and can tell you the mooer amp models are better by far. But if you want more I/O options, or to be able to edit via remote app, then maybe the firehawk. 🤷♂️
You can also easily get an extra control with a footswitch(es) by connecting it to the EXP2 jack. For example: I took my old single button Marshall footswitch (with led) and connected it to the EXP2 jack. After calibration (heel down OFF, toe down ON..or something like that). Then I used the MERGE-option and made it boost my EQ settings and turn on (well, basically the effect is turned on all the time, but switch changes the level from 0 to 20) the PHASER. Simple, cheap, beautiful and easy solution to get some extra control over the sounds! Even the led works!
Can you please assist me on this unit. It has great effects but it's driving me up the wall with white noise. I'm use to a quite rig. Please help, not happy with the noise. Are you getting noise, I'm curious.
No unnecessary noise on my end. Usually when I have unwanted noise in my signal, I just go through one thing at a time until I can figure out what’s creating it. May be a ground loop or shielding issue.

Can you please help me with one thing? When you are in play mode and Footswitch type 2 is selected from system menu (where you preselect preset and then you confirm it with CTRL button) is it possible to use CTRL button for turning effects on and of on that selected preset? Hey there. I really enjoy watching your videos and find them very helpful. In this case, to be completely honest, I don't really like the sounda you dialed in. For my taste it lacks 'meat' ...nur still, great video and very helpful 🤙🏼
I know it is an old review. But after a year and compare to the GE250 is it still worth it? Or do I really need to shell out the 200$ more for the GE250?
The ge200 is still a really great unit. Even better now since they have updated it with more amps and cabs. Spend extra for ge250 if you want the extraneous functionality, i/o and tone capture 🙌🤘🤘

Hey Taylor! I actually found them for sale here in the u.s 😃. The interesting thing is some are selling for more than what it would cost to buy it and have it shipped from both Germany and Britain 😂.
You gotta see the demo for the new one. It’s unreal. The sound is so superior that I decided not to buy a bunch of pedals. I never thought I’d find a multi fx that could sound so realistic and literally sink other pedals out of the water like a genetically modified great white.
Looking to upgrade from Line6 POD HD 500 to something else. So many options on the market today. To go with GE200 or GE300? To go with maybe Helix LT? Ugh.
It's coming! Have another for you too... the Hotone ampero. I just got one and have a review coming soon. I have a pod HD pro, and the ge200 was a definite big improvement. The Ampero is definitely a step up from that though.

I have been leaning toward one of these. I am fortunate in that I have sold a few things and actually made money on gear...does that ever happen? Don't wake me. But what pushed me over the "gotta have it" edge was all the scratch marks I see on your GE 200. Tells me you are using it and you ain't blowing smoke up my #$@.

Thanks for letting me know! I actually did update recently and have a vid on the 2.0 update as well. It really does add a big improvement to the pedal.
Haven't tried the zoom products, although I have read they are not quite as good sound quality. They are on my list of products I need to review. I'm currently working on another modeler, which I should have a video up for shortly!

Wow, that's a killer suggestion. I actually ended up going full automated midi switching, but that's a great idea!

🙌 It definitely can! It has 2 outputs and you can have cab emulation on one and not the other.

mostly effects sounds same and too loud...... try some more na dude, it was like you are repeating the same effect again and again.
He didn't dial in any of effects presets settings , some gotta be tweaked a lil to get gold your wanting
