You can find newer videos from Taylor comparing devices (ge200, hotone, hx stomp and fractal) and GE200 was killing.
Something I've noticed in these comparisons is the difference in clarity and crispness between them. Is it the mic placement or the type of connections? To be clear I'm of the opinion that the ampero sounds better and less muddy here.
I wanted to like the Mooer, but I much prefered the way the ampero cuts through the mix. I especially liked the rectifier. Must say I own a Engl powerball and these sound absolutely nothing like it. :)
Great comparison congrats! It could be interesting to compare both units using the same IR to have a better idea of the amp modeling differences. Here I mostly here a very different cab/mic with some variation of gain structure. It would be more obvious if the cabs IR where identical.

I purchased a Ampero and I’ve been used to playing my system with a tc electronics g system which has 4 input loops so you can have four types of distortion in those inputs I plug my guitar into a wampler compressor first before I go into the g system, g system goes out stereo to tc flashback delay and the to a stryman big sky then to a eventide H9 max then out stereo to 2 Vox AC15s and I dialed in as close as I could the Ampero to try to just get a basic amp tone comparable, but to no avail the Ampero always had this cheap metallic sound that you couldn’t get rid of it seems to be part of the attack of the hits of the guitar when I go through my system is sounds clear and inspiring but anytime I put the Ampero sound in the mix it just felt cheap and uninspired I think these units have a long way to go and it’s not easy to get a really good clean sound I’d focus on your own sound and it starts with a very good clean tone

Man your videos are really cool! I think the 5150 and Powerball sounded better on the Mooer, and the other tones sounded better on the Ampero. What I've found with my GE200 is that some amp models sound better than others. Luckily for me the 5150 models (which are the ones I use) are the best sounding IMO. Also, there is a Dual Rec model on the Mooer but it is not included in the unit itself, you have to download it from the mooer site. That dual rec amp sounds a lot better than the tri rec amp (which I've found it sounds bad, at least for me). Keep up with the good videos man!
Thanks for the tip, I'll have to go download it! I didn't see it in the list of amp models when I planned this video out. And thanks so much for the kind words! 🤘🙌🤘

I purchased a Ampero and I’ve been used to playing my system with a tc electronics g system which has 4 input loops so you can have four types of distortion in those inputs I plug my guitar into a wampler compressor first before I go into the g system, g system goes out stereo to tc flashback delay and the to a stryman big sky then to a eventide H9 max then out stereo to 2 Vox AC15s and I dialed in as close as I could the Ampero to try to just get a basic amp tone comparable, but to no avail the Ampero always had this cheap metallic sound that you couldn’t get rid of it seems to be part of the attack of the hits of the guitar when I go through my system is sounds clear and inspiring but anytime I put the Ampero sound in the mix it just felt cheap and uninspired
I think these units have a long way to go and it’s not easy to get a really good clean sound I’d focus on your own sound and it starts with a very good clean tone
Mooer released the Ge150 a few weeks ago you should try it!
You're correct, I should! I actually was looking for one, but they aren't on amazon yet!
The Ampero shines!
Subscribed. Mooer wins out a bit for me (disclosure, I do have a GE300 and a Helix), but I am a gear lover--not a hater (all are welcome to the party). I have a Hotone Heart Attack and Siva Boogie and wouldn't get rid of them. I want a Hotone Captain Sunset as well.
Haha awesome! I really enjoy both of then for different reasons, but I definitely prefer the ampero for high gain tones. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love using tons of saturation with it, it just sounds so good!
Thanks for joining the party!
Ampero is too great!
Makes me even happier I got my ge200 the rythms sound so much clearer
They're really great, especially for the price
I prefer evh5153 over pv5150 on mooer ge200..
@@nazarf1884 Evh5150 is my most favourite amp in all the multifx out there. Sadly, no evh5150 on the Hotone.
Do you mean the 5150iii? There is for sure a 5150 sim on the ampero.
Side note, I picked up a original block letter 5150 yesterday.
@@TaylorDanley Ya, I mean the EVH 5150iii, Eddie's signature model. Hope they could put it in future updates, but for now probably just get some custom IRs for that
Riff with Ampero, Solo with Moore G200
GE200 needs custom IR's from the factory to sound decent, once you load some new IR's mine came to life and sounds closer to the Hotone now :)
I did a follow up to this using custom IRs, and they do sound pretty close when you take stock IRs out of the equation
Please, make an ge300 vs hotone ampero.
I would love to! Unfortunately funding the purchase of a ge300 is not in the cards right now 😥. As soon as I can get my hands on one, I'd be thrilled to do it.
@@TaylorDanley rent one?
@@johnong2655 from where? I cant find a local dealer.
@@TaylorDanley Sorry. Im not that familiar with the music stores in America. I remembered renting all sort equipment at Long and Mcquade in Canada.
Got one for Christmas
This pedal is more suited for low tuning drop c
It cuts right through and sounds a lot better
But regular tuning to me you can’t get that
It’s way to much mids no matter how much you try to eq or mic or ir it
There is no smooth transition iether it’s to high or to dull sounding
If you want your drop tuning to cut through this is the pedal
Regular for me nooooooo
Ampero sounds to have more mids and less compression..
do Mooer GE300 please
Would love to! Email Mooer and tell them to send me one! 😎😎😎
Ampero the best Song ever 🤘
I recently started playing guitar again after a decade. So i am looking for a effects pedal. i started from the range of 50£ lol then moved to 150£ i was about to buy a used hd500 but then i found about hd500x and then ge200. Now hotone !! I think its time to put brakes on looking for pedal and just settle with ge200 lol. as the price jump is 100£+ between hotone and mooer here !!
The ge200 is great, and if you dont need the extra bells and whistles, I'm sure you'll be totally happy
If you want the mooer to sound more like the ampero don't use a cab it's sounds the same
Best video ever
Mooer more natural i guess. But ampero dual rectifier was insane
I briefly had a "shit, maybe I should've got the ampero instead?" Moment when I ordered my GE 200, but with the IRs I got from Seacows, honestly I feel like the difference isn't so dramatic. On an unrelated note, that first riff you did reminded me a lot of Adema.
Adema!! Haha 😂
It really isn't, they sound very comparable. It just goes to show you how much of your tone is dependent on your cabinet!
Can you plz give me lamb of god patch in mooer ge200
Ampero!
Hotone rules
Good stuff. I subscribed. For sure liked the Ampero in this vid, but havent given up totally on the Mooer.....heard that the ge250 and ge300 were way better than the 200, plus the tone capture has my interest as well
Thanks for the sub 🙌 I know, the tone capture feature is interesting to me as well 🤔
IMO the mooer is much better sounding
subscribed!!! :3
🙌
ge 200 is better for live mixer sound... so ... haha lmao ge200 is crazzzy
Rhythm tone = Ampero, Lead tone = GE200 is better
Ampero....
The Hotone is more aggressive, the Mooer is warmer.
Hotone all day long
Wow I’m incredibly impressed with the Ampero... thing sounds MASSIVE and much clearer compared to the ge200 IMO... wild!
Second half test it does seem a bit more high-end fizzy though but I’m sure that can be eq’d out
Agreed. Theres a lot more detail in the top end. The mooer still sounds great though.
the ampero is just fatter...more bottom
Mooer is more real sound...
The reverb is crap .going threw a pa mixer its unusable. Dont listen to these RUclips people they lie
Theses things are crap dont waist ya money
Ampero!
