The part where you said "loosen these 4 nuts, you do not need to remove them"... on mine those were on so tight I twisted a hex bit into a pretzel using an impact wrench and didn't budge ANY of them. In the end I had to use a torch to heat them red hot...
Nice work. BTW, Kingsong should give some concrete values if you are using a torque wrench for the pedal hanger screws and the mounting plate that's gripping the motor axle. With that it would be much safer to be sure that correct and enough torque is applied, especially for heavier riders.
Wow a lot heasier than on the V11 :O if i remember correctly. BTW nice music Are their any instructions about the tightening forces for some bolts ? (in Nm ?)
Awesome hack: drill a small hole in the casing that covers the lower left cable case screw so you don't need to disassemble the whole casing to unscrew it!
I need to change my tires and not sure what you are talking about. Can you point to this in the time stamp? Are you saying to drill a hole in the cover at 2:25?
I have a S18 (I think it's a 2nd batch). I don't have the block (just an empty space instead of this block) to prevent over tightening. How should I do to prevent this over tightening ?
I'm in the process of swapping out the stock tire with an IRC TR-1 in 2.75-14, and while I've got it all mounted on the hub, I'm struggling to align the wheel with the rest of the device. There were a few thin, round washers that seem to be acting as shims? Having a hard time figuring out where to put them back, they aren't mentioned in the video at all...
You can see that he put in shims above the axle on the second side. But he intentionally didn't show this because it would publicly reveal that the design flaw in the axle which king song keeps out of all of their videos. There is no video that exists that shows how to re-balance the wheel with shims, and king song knows that the consumer can't ever re-balance the wheel and will end up with misaligned suspension which will quickly wear down and become unusable.
@@yannolet28 No, my suspension was misaligned for a year and grinded down to the point where it was unusable. Had to buy and install new suspension rods, but I was able to align it a little better the second time.
@@paulhaines5085 Can you from now recommend this wheel or if you were in the pass... You will go for another one? I am planning buying one in the incoming days... thanks for your advise
@@yannolet28 I would recommend the wheel under certain conditions. It is the lightest suspension wheel which is very important. It let's you bunny hop over obstacles with ease at a moments notice. It is also the only wheel where all of the electronics/frame float on the suspension, the others only suspend you and the pedals. But if you plan on making any repairs or part swaps it's a nightmare because of the alignment issue. You can send it in for repairs from the dealer which solves this. If you buy it, cover it in padding imo. One bump on the top and it can break the motherboard, dislodging transistors.
honestly EUCs should be built in a way tha allows a easy tire change... direct caps to the cable that connects the motor secured with screws and caps to the nut to tighten the wheel or make it loose and then just slide it down... 5 minutes and tire should be out...
just curious if anyone knows where to buy a replacement tire and what a good one would be since it seems the specific tires ks18 uses arent very common. Does kingsong send replacement tires for the wheel? I recently got a hole so im probably just going to patch it up but i want a spare in case it gets a hole again.
And 1 hour later, after two attempts of an originally simple task, he realizes he got a snakebite and has to invest another hour opening it all up again...
One of the reasons I'll wait for a later batch/version of current EUCs is the horrible/consumer-unfriendly design. I'd say this is not an amateur, imagine how long it takes for one to simply change a tire/flat especially if your frame is bent or whatever.. Tlme for some hinges like on a bike to "easily" swap tires/tubes OR even better a tubeless design. Until then.. nope
I'm no mechanic or engineer, so just a subjective statement here: Why in the hell would you need that many screws to realize this design and still have glued on parts. 2000 $ usually give you a better product quality. But at least it looks nice
Ribeye Robert D I know how you feel, things are really screwed up atm, it may take your mind off things but won’t solve the underlying problem. Work on that first and hopeful you’ll see improvements elsewhere. All the best.
Thanks for fulfilling the request! Doesn't look easy but doable.
what a nightmare for just a flat tyre...

"There is an alignment parter surrounding the inner perimeter of the outer tube" at 08:01
What are you mean with that? I couldn't see it in the video

that should be standard torque for the screw size.
So to replace a tire you have to tear the padding to get the caps off, hmmm. Someone has not given that much thought.
Ohhhh my gosh. It is crazy. I hope never need do that in my life. Lol 😆

Going to try this! Replacing my tube for the first time.

can replace with tubeless tires?

kingsong je vous aime
How long to realize this replacement ? One hour and half?
Excellent , thank you 🙏🏽
Nice 😊👍
An astounding amount of work to fix a flat or change a tire. They need to be part of the process to develop a flat free self-healing tire.

fit fast an fun

Get a TR1 if you want perfect fit and off-road, or a Chao yang H666 tire if you want more street then off-road.
5:56 i don’t have this system on my wheel (version 2 2023). Only 3 bolts…
Looks a lot easier than V11.
Please. Please create a function in your app that can remove speed limt for ks x1 scooter.
Slime the heck out of it before using!

at 2.08 he ripped it. Why not ,very simply, put a small hole in the padding so that the screw is accessible without tearing things apart.
tjah becouse the fglue doenmt work?
Maybe next time, send the designer / engineer in the box with the wheel....
Imagine having to completely Rebuild a car everytime you have to change a tire. That is pretty much what's happening here.
How the hell do you unplug that white plug?

I find this an overly complicated design in the wheel for the need of fixing a flat tire
One thing I hate about EUCs is changing the tire.
Changing the tire on anything is a bitch

If you hate the haters your a hater, so do you hate yourself?
I wonder if a single sided mount like on a motorcycle is possible? That would be a game changer.

Wtf? All this to change a tube?
I'm sorry, but this is just bad engineering.
