Really huge fan of kingsong. Not many companies would do a tear down like this. Literally got my s18 delivered today. Looking forward to many many years of riding once I learn to ride.
Would appreciate video that shows just the required steps to do inner tube/tire replacement
I was thinking the same. The thought of having to do a tyre or tube replacement is a bit daunting if involves a total strip down, as shown up until the wheel was removed each time.
A single sided suspension like on some motorcycles would make it so much easier to do repairs.

Loving the way those batteries are pluged in ! sturdy ! I find that wheel really cleverly designed
Yeah, I don't think so, if you have to completely tear apart the machine in order to get to the tire!!!
Thanks for the dissassembly video. My S18 came with a misaligned wheel so i need to take it apart and adjust the screws under the axle to make them even on both sides. Someone missed that in the shop.
It's nice to see more controller boards placed on the top of machines, but it blows my mind how much effort it still takes to get to it.
Man I am far from excited to replace my motherboard already... What an adventure this will be.

A specific video to show how to assemble this wheel would be a good idea. I am in the middle of a first time strip down and re-assemble and have spent a lot of time getting the pedal brackets on correctly. There is a left and a right bracket (unlabelled) and when you put them on the wrong way the batteries don't fit.

I'll get in to EUCs when they make a quick release for the tire. They expect me to go through all that for a tire change? Hell no. Also.. its 2021.. add a kick stand!
Understandable request, but technically very difficult. The motor must be very tightly fastened to the frame, as if it is in any way loose then the smallest rocking or vibration sends incorrect signals to the Controller Board which then thinks it must brake, or accelerate unnecessarily in the wrong direction. This is one of the causes for the "shakes" seen at times on EUC wheels.
Yikes! I hope I don't have to change the tire anytime soon... But thank you for the great video.
Actually this looks like the easiest tyre change. You put the plastic cover down, unscrew battery plugs. Unplug battery. Remove motor.

No. I just checked on the unit I am working on (Contol Board version 1.5, date on pcb = 20200908 )
What's the performance difference between the standard performance long range and the high performance short range S18? Is it top speed? Acceleration?

Find it funny how they say to "carefully remove the 10 screws from the motherboard" As opposed to what, aggressively removing them? lol
11 is the Pedal height assembly and wheel hold, I think it's mislabeled.
Which part controls the gyroscope function? Mine has some issue after my first power cut off accident.....need to check on it....

@@jdsr4c - Ah well, if that is the case I guess I will have to find a way to use my brand new KS S18 as a bed-side reading lamp and , instead, I shall retake my good old KTM 650 motorbike, which really is THE toy for grown ups. Lol.

@@jmerlo4119 what’s the issue with it? If it won’t turn on reach out to your distributor for a new controller board and swap it out. Don’t give up on it. It’s a blast to ride!
@@jdsr4c - Yes, you are right and thanks for the encouragement. For the time being, I'll give it another couple of days for EUCO the distributor and/or King Song themselves to reply and see what they have to say. If there is no response, I will order a new controller board as you say, and learn to do mechanics, which I hate.
Not very happy with their service though.

That's a lot of actions to repair flat tube in the middle of the road 😧
This is a disassembly video not a tire repair video.
One can probably expose the inner tube and patch a puncture without removing the wheel.
If only you knew how many actions and tools you need to repair a puncture/change inner tube on V8 for example...
It seems like tyre change on this wheel wont be big of a pain to be honest.

What´s the use of this video? One can't even read the blurred parts list! All I need to know is the location of the blown fuse that I have to replace after an absurd overheating while my S18 was standing still for 10 minutes while I was fidgeting with the APP settings!
No fuse.
