+Greyswyndir It means that you have to learn the Talmud for decades to truly understand it's principles, and that there are things that can't be taught standing on one leg.
+Greyswyndir The Talmud is made up mostly of traditional and widely accepted explanations of the Torah, and without it you can never really understand the Torah. For instance, the Torah says 'do not steal', but the Talmud explains the Torahs property laws.
As person who has studied the Talmud for years, i can attest to many passages that are misunderstood or taken out of context by people who aren't familiar with the Talmud.
I will accept that certain Jewish actions have caused people to hate them, but to blame Jews for antisemitism is ridiculous. It's much like saying blacks are to blame for slavery, because they didn't defend themselves against slavers. Jews were a religious minority that refused to assimilate, it is pretty obvious why they were hated and discriminated against.
I don't know why you think Jews are forcing diversity, multiculturalism and hate law legislation when they are only 0.2% of the world population. Even if all the Jews supported these things, which i doubt is true, how could they possibly force it on anyone.( it's a lot like 'Jewish Bolshevism'. Yes, Karl Marx and Trotsky were Jewish, and so were many other commies, but the vast majority of communists were definitely not Jewish).
Although i am willing to accept that one of the forces that fuels the trips to Poland is Zionism, it is simply not true that Jews teach their children to hate gentiles or Germans. My grandfather, who's uncle was murdered by Nazis,
identifies as German, and supports Germany's national football team (when you take into account that his family fled Germany when he was a baby, he might be too German. I wish you could meet him, it would blow your mind wide open).
Jewish kids learn about the holocaust at a young age not by indoctrination but from reality. If a Jewish grandparent talks about their childhood they can't avoid the holocaust, because very often it was a big part of it.
The war changed people i know, and the reality of my life today, i don't need to be taught or reminded.

Jews are a special case in my current understanding. I read an article recently that claimed 95% of the Jewish people living in Israel supported the murdering of Palestinian men, women, and children (during the bombing of Gaza in the summer of 2014).
If that is true it puts them in a different category, both racially and ethnically then you and I. I do not hate all jews or even most jews. I do believe that the actions of elite Jewry are repugnant and atrocious and that such actions must be stopped at all costs. If the Zionist influence (along with the Anglo-Royals and the Vatican) was removed from societies around the world I believe the entire world would experience another renaissance. We'd have a real shot at building a just and peaceful world.

@monlovchel The Talmud is discussion and interpretation of the Torah. It contains theological and ethical discussions that were had between rabbis and gatherings at the time. Naturally some of it would have been a reaction to upcoming Christianity and one had to honestly admit and see it is that.
But it is also important to know that while some rabbis might have had the views described in the video others didn't. The Talmud presents various views and positions on a certain subject. To know what it is really saying overall you have to read the whole thing.
Am reading A. Cohen's Everyman's Talmud at the moment and it offers great insight and in-depth discussions of passages in the Torah/Tanakh.

He is my rabbi at yeshiva and he is easily the most learned person I have ever met in any subject. I have never found something in Torah that he cannot explain. He has plenty of videos on youtube and I encourage everyone to watch

But to me that doesn't invalidate them, it means I am lacking some kind of wisdom needed to understand the true meaning behind it. My point being, one of the tenets of Christian biblical interpretation is to understand scripture with scripture, not with my feelings or my own understanding.
So I think it is not out of the question to question scripture. But the proper way to question it and to attempt to understand it is to use other scripture, not what I find hard to believe or my own personal feelings. And that's where I disagree with this style of questioning and interrogation that I see in this video. There is no desire to understand, only a desire to point the finger.

The idea that only Jews are human and not gentiles runs contrary to a number of fundamental Jewish principles. According to the Talmud, gentiles ARE human and the complicated texts quoted to prove the accusation are misinterpreted, as we shall see.
The Texts
Talmud Bava Metzia 114b
Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai said: The graves of gentiles do not cause ritual impurity in a dwelling as it says (Ezekiel 34:31) "Now, you [Israel] are My sheep , the sheep of My pasture, you are Man (Adam)…" You [Israel, the subject of the verse] are called Man (Adam) and gentiles are not called Man (Adam).
Talmud Keritot 6b
One who uses the official anointing oil [that has been consecrated] to smear on an animal or vessels is innocent of violating the holiness of the oil, to smear on gentiles or corpses is innocent. Certainly an animal and vessels as it say (Exodus 30:32) "It shall not be smeared on flesh of man (Adam)…" and an animal and vessels are not man. One who smears on corpses is also innocent since it is dead it is called a corpse and not a man. However, why is one who smears on gentiles innocent? They are men! No, as it says (Ezekiel 34:31) "Now, you [Israel] are My sheep , the sheep of My pasture, you are Man (Adam)…" You [Israel, the subject of the verse] are called Man (Adam) and gentiles are not called Man (Adam).
The relevance of the first passage is that causing ritual impurity in a dwelling is derived from Numbers 19: 14 "This is the teaching regarding a man (Adam) who would die in a tent…" Since the Talmud learns from Ezekiel that the term for man, Adam, only applies to Jews the verse regarding ritual impurity must also only refer to Jew who are called Adam.
Similarly, the second passage learns from Exodus 30:32 that only one who smears on a man (Adam) is liable. Since only Jews are called Adam, only one who smears on a Jew is liable.
There are those who infer from these passages that the Talmud considers gentiles to be sub-human. After all, if the Talmud says that gentiles are not called man they must be considered sub-human [for some reason the suggestion that they are super-human is never offered].
Here are two other passages which seem to contradict the above passage. After quoting them we will reconcile all of the passages and show that the Talmud does not consider gentiles to be sub-human.
Talmud Gittin 47a
A gentile has the ability to purchase land in Israel in order to dig holes and caves as it says (Psalms 115:16) "As for the heavens, the heavens are the Lord's; but the earth He has given to mankind (Bnei Adam=sons of Adam)."
Talmud Avodah Zarah 3a
Rabbi Meir would say: How do we know that even a gentile who engages in the study of Torah is like a Jewish high priest? We learn from the verse (Leviticus 18:5) "which man (HaAdam=the man) shall do [i.e. study] and by which he shall live [in the afterlife]."
We see from Gittin that the Talmud considers the phrase Bnei Adam (sons of man) to refer also to gentiles. We see from Avodah Zarah that the Talmud considers the term HaAdam (the man) to refer also to gentiles. Clearly, gentiles are considered human. Why then does the Talmud in Bava Metzia understand that gentiles are not considered Adam (man)?
The explanation is that these are different terms and only a superficial reading would render the term Adam in Bava Metzia as man. Gentiles are absolutely considered human as biology clearly dictates; there are no physiological differences between Jews and gentiles. All people are ultimately descended from the same ancestors, Noah and Adam.
However, the Jews, as a unified nation, are one organic entity. We are obligated to treat each other as close family members and are responsible for each other's actions.
When the Talmud sees the Hebrew word Adam it sees an allusion to Adam of Genesis 1-5 who was at one time the only person. The Talmud understands this as referring to the Jewish people who are an organic unit like one person. Gentiles do not have this organic national bond with each other and are therefore excluded from this concept.
Other terms referring to people, Bnei Adam (sons of Adam) or HaAdam (the man), are understood to refer to the species homo sapien of which gentiles are obviously members just as Jews are.
Thus, with regard to ritual impurity and holy oil, which are uniquely Jewish concepts, the Talmud sees an exclusion to all those who are not part of the organic Jewish nation. With regard to practical matters such as the purchase of land or individual matters such as spiritual status, gentiles are included. An understanding of all of the relevant passages in the Talmud shows that Gentiles are considered human but not Jewish and the accusations against the Talmud are false.

Simply put as this kind of study can go a lot further in-depth; For example, a father talking to his children: Does not mean someone else children are not children. It means they are not his children. The passage is only saying this applies to men of Isreal and not to men of other nations or people. Due to when the text was written it is no different to calling someone a foreigner now. Israelites in those times called people who were not Israelites a gentile, it did not mean the person was not human just not an Isreal. The same as a foreigner not being in the country they were born, makes them a foreigner and not a citizen. Unless they obtain citizenship.
A lot of the other citations are not to be found. However, as you can see it could take a long time to go through all the citations. I hope this is enough to help you with your study?

Of course people want to just jump to the worst possible interpretation but how I've seen it explained is that the Talmud contains discussions of the extremities of moral/philosophical/religious issues which are supposed to be discussed/debated in order to come to an understanding of the boundaries of certain concepts, with some of the statements in the Talmud being dissenting opinions which were also recorded, so the extreme examples are not there to dictate "this is how to think" but were part of debate on certain issues and that interpretation of these things requires deep thinking/study. So to my (limited) understanding, there are many contradictions in the Talmud if you just pull out random phrases but in context they are discussed and repeatedly intellectually explored to come to an eventual agreement somewhere between extremes.

The last guy stopped me in my tracks when he said he definitely understands if certain Jews have a chip on their shoulders with resentments, and feel a certain way because historically they've been tortured, killed, mistreated, and persecuted....so why can't that work both ways?? Many, many, did I say many ppl feel that African Americans need to get over their hurts and anger about the same issues, that sadly, still happen in 2023. That's just not right. Why can't we be understood as well? Most would call us racists. Inquiring minds would love to understand. I am in no way angry, my brain just picked up on the acceptance of it all.
@@tarae5380 you really made me think about this one. because i also expect black people to rise above it, but It is noteworthy to point out that in the jewish community, most of them are good citizens, where in America, black people, in a percentage greater than the jewish community's take that chip on their shoulder out on others, who are sometimes innocent. Black people take that chip on their shoulder and act on it, which is a stark contrast to the jews' philosophical way of doing it. I think this is why, the black community in America finds so much more resistance. Thankfully, there have been more and more black people in America who are humble enough and have risen above the shackles of mental slavery, or in other words have overcome the historical trau,ma that previous generations carried, which is in my point of view, a miracle in itself. Sadly, though, there are others, like the black hebrew israelites, who rebrand that same trauma into pseudo spirituality.
