Who else is watching and can't afford anything but is dreaming of a nice powerful PC
Mate i was like you about 5 years ago. Here's a tip, save up any Christmas or job money you can and start off small. Then slowly upgrade stuff instead of doing it in one go. Don't bother with flash in the pan components or making it look good at first, just get the performance foundation. I started out with a shit HP desktop, I then transplanted it into a better matx case. I then added fans, a rx460 GPU, ssd, more ram etc. After that I realised my CPU was a bottleneck so I upgraded the shit HP mobo along with the CPU. Now I'm 17 I have a job and never thought I'd have an i5 7500 GTX 1060 g1 3g 8gb ram and rgb fans/peripherals in s340 elite tempered glass case. Next upgrade will be better CPU cooler and rgb strips. Also, the used market is your friend, try getting a good deal on a cheap GPU and a i5 2500k mobo ram combo. Then wack it in a cheap case to start or something.

If you just want a pc that works, and don't have an interest in the hardware or want to complicate things, buy a prebuild.
My first real gaming pc I got in 2009, it was prebuild and I loved it. With my new PC from 2016, I decided I wanted to try building it myself, so I could save some money, and gain some knowledge. I had a blast building it, but not everyone cares about the components, but just wants a pc that can play games.

Question for you guys. I'm new to pc gaming. Does a pre built gaming pc mean it's ready to use and you can add parts if you want. Or does it mean it's pre built and not READY TO USE.

Zender show a prebuilt PC now that is more worth it than building one
It’s not the hardware I’m worried to set up or mess up, it’s the software, like how do I decide what to put on my ssd or installing drivers etc.
Charlie G ideally you want your operating system (eg windows 10) and possibly a couple of your favourite games ( depending on the size of the ssd) on a separate small ssd and the bulk of your games, videos, photos etc. on a large ssd or hdd, you should also back files up regularly. Windows 10 will keep most of your drivers up to date but you'll probably need to update your motherboard and graphics card drivers when you first start. Paul's hardware has an excellent beginners series that takes you from part selection through to a full software installation and update.
Yeah exactly I don’t have a secondary laptop or computer in where I can install the drivers in the USB into the pc I built that’s why i want to get prebuilt instead

PC building is a supercool diy project, you just need a good guide to identify your needs and components and when you assemble the whole thing and boot into windows, that feeling alone makes the whole process worth it.

The feeling of building your own pc, especially for the first time, is the best. With current GPU prices, if you want a mid range graphics cards pre built is the way to go.
Luis Soberanes nah not with budget builds like the gtx 1050 and 1050ti as they weren't really affected
Luis Soberanes luckily, nvidia is making more cards for mining. His will drop the previous gpu prices.

I love your channel it really helps people who need help with knowing things and building PCs/desktops. So thanks on behalf of the community!
Really helpful thank you. Feel vindicated in deciding to choose to build my first PC! :)
Nice one Marcus.
Good option I always think for new starters that are nervous about full build is to buy a pre built that can have bits swapped out and as they get confident down the line can swap or add components to it. The slightly braver could get a mobo cpu memory bundle.
👍🏽
THANK YOU! This helped me soo much!!
Awesome! Simple and short! And straight to the point! Thanks

I like having the customisation options you get with building your own PC. Thank you for your input I'm trying to build my own gaming PC any tips
Where should I buy a ready built PC from?
I built my first ever PC last month and am SO GLAD I did. The equivalent specs would have costed me £300 more at least, and I was able to customise everything in it. I even broke the standoff mount for the CPU Cooler to my liquid AIO Cooler, and was very worried, however Overclockers UK were phenomenal in their customer support and sent me a replacement set :D.
Now i'm playing almost all games at 100fps ultrawide, and CPU Temps are never greater than 50°C.
For me a only 50 dollar difference.
dpanch_89 can u give me all the specs of your pc?
Cool. My PC is nothing special yet, in fact, just looking at my specs might actually make you pity me. I'm saving up about 500 dollars to build my own PC.
This is what I have currently:
PC Model: eMachines EL1358G
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 220 2.80GHz processor, dual core.
RAM: 6GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 (MSI)
Power Supply: 220W
Monitor 1: 1360x786 resolution, connected with HDMI
Monitor 2: 1280x1024 resolution, connected with VGA
HDD: 500GB Seagate, came from an old HP computer running Vista.
OS: Windows 10 Pro (x64)
It's not very powerful, but for the games I really like playing on PC (TF2, TES 5, and GH3 mostly) it works decently. The problem is the power and the processor. They're pretty bad, and they severely limit what my graphics card can do. I bought the GT 610 without realizing it requires at least a 300W PSU, so a 220W PSU is one reason I feel like I have performance problems, along with my processor. The processor is the really weak part; I've noticed it going all the way up to 90% usage when running a game like TF2, resulting in anywhere from 30-50fps, occasional spikes with it dropping down to 15fps or lower at random. When I die though, it jumps up to 100fps :p
OllieNA If you mess up you have warranty most of the time for your parts and if you watched the video he says its not easy to mess it up just follow the instructions of a tutorial.
5:35 "Dat GPU Though" IM DYING XDDDD
Sir, could I see your desk setup, it looks so simple yet cool. Thanks.
I think understanding what each component does is so important as it makes you appreciate all of the parts. Otherwise you pay 2 grand for a big number at the top of your screen
I built my first pc week ago and honestly its so easy guys, it saves you loads of money
Ollie how did you like connect the wires it’s so hard

Hey I'm starting to build my first PC and I'm considering getting a GeForce 1060 GTX, are prices still very high right now for about $350 CAD? Should I wait for boxing day? Or when Nvidia releases their new GPUs? Cause I wanted to finish the build before 2018, or mid January
It’s really up to what you like, but if you’re looking for cheap prices, get an used Gtx 1060, or 1070.
Airbolt. I wouldnt recommend that with cryptomining being so big right now. I would wait until prices drop
S Z I know it’s been 9 months but did u built it already?

In have a question. Is it possible to turn an all in one PC into a monitor? If so, do I have to take anything out?
Building pc is cancer lol, I ran into at least 8 problems when building my pc and it’s taken over 4 months and it isn’t even working. You’ll end up spending the same amount of money building your pc by replacing parts and shit than it would to buy it pre built
Ares Corleone "you're iq is low" loooool irony
What if you chose your parts on a website that also builds it for you?
Depends on how much it costs for them to build it for you.
very costly. these are luxury custom building services
It depends on what you define as costly. NCIX sells this as a service and they sell it for $50. They also bring a pre-configured Windows key.
Well thanks for the information
There are some websites that do that
amazing video!
Haha. The "cost" thing is a tricky point. Once you really get into pc tech, you might like it so much that u prefer some higher quality parts and end up spending more than you planned innitially. When I started building, I just found a new passion and ended up with overkill hardware compared to where i came from (main stream 1080p 60 fps gaming). I dont regret any of it tho.
If you can find a prebuilt one with good price to part ratio then yes, go for it. I reccomend this HP gtx 1060 got 600$. It has a i5 8th gen professor and 8gb ddr4 ram.
NO. DO NOT DO THIS. HP and Dell and big OEM type manufacturers like that basically always use the absolute shittiest quality unbranded motherboards and power supplies that often, although not always blow out within 3 years. B4 I built systems I bought an HP 500-310a desktop and it was the worst computer I've ever owned, expensive, low spec and terrible quality. They do this so they can decrease the cost of the pc and in turn increase profit margins. If you HAVE to buy a pre-built, at least get one from a good system integrator like ibuypower (although even their PSUs are questionable). Build a system so you save some money, learn a new skill, build confidence in upgrading, and insure you are using quality parts.
Ecorigon IV I was trying to get a pc but have no fucking clue how it works. Could you recommend how to choose parts for one?
@@Sean-gs7cp watch build guides and use PC part picker website. First pick Intel or AMD then the socket motherboard that will work with your chip. What case is that
Surprised at the fact you even went to PC Specialist and didn't compare the cost of building a like for like system. I did that and for a mid-range system of about £700 they seem to be charging about £50 to build it, set it up, ship it and slap on a proper warranty. So building my own for £50 saving hardly seems worth it.
You are so stupid, you are taking away the joy of building your own pc.
Errr...I think I would have more joy actually playing games than building the PC. You are so stupid for not seeing other people's point of view ;)
I've built over 10 pc's probably could build one in under an hour, it is more rewarding to build a pc then playing a game in my and tons of others opinions, I promise you once you get the hang of building you'll love it.
Bumbo Jumbo why? I wanna play games. If I want to build something, I would get a job building a PC. I don't give a shit about that. And guess what just as many people agree with me on this. Because everyone who buys a console is thinking the same thing. I'm here to play games and that's it. We only have so much time in our day and I would like to spend it playing games instead.
You're pretty stupid, it's not hard to build a pc, it's like putting together lego. When you buy a pc, you are getting ripped off most of the time because prebuilts cost more than if you were to buy the exact same parts individually.

I built myself 1 pc and it never worked and coudnt get a rma i built a second one with the money i had left... didnt work and still coudnt get a rma... i didnt pass my grade and someone in my family got cancer....

Damn that fucking sucks bro, I'm 15 and my mum got screened for cancer a few weeks ago after she had a tumor, luckily it wasn't cancerous but it is a very scary feeling, best wishes.

Thinking about getting a new computer, desktop or laptop. Which sort of desktop/laptop should I get?
But if i pick the part but someone else build it for me is it count as pre-built
I have a guy who build and orders and sets up my stuff for 50 bucks is that good?
Can we break It no you can save $50 by building it yourself. What is your budget for your pc?
No, its not. You can get a cheaper deal on that (Or just actually learn it in 20 minutes).
Good but the budget is it please
I got a setup with a GTX1060 intel core i7 7700 16 gb ram 120 gb ssd 1tb hardrive for $900!! Its an insane deal imo
and it was a prebuilt lmao
wasted money ah
Tech Unboxing how?
Idk man i think he is insane
But whatever hes probably just mad because his build costs more or maybe he had a bad day who knows?
first you dont need that cpu so thats wasted money eventualy if you render videos but for that gpu i5 7600k is awesome just my opinion that i5 is enough
Tech Unboxing no just no
I am getting a custom built but getting someone to build it for me will that be a pre build?
I have a question about that $699.99 pc I was wondering is it pre-built? It ses custom so am I gonna have to put it together?
Building a pc is around 30% cheaper then actually buying a pre built one
Edit somewhat cheaper
Paul Doan the
its not always cheaper lmao thats a myth
Mother board is a 1000 and graphic card is 1000 it's not cheaper lol
J Dolo motherboards are 200$, and graphics cards are around 500-700$, fucking dumbass
Not today it isnt
Bro buying is good because some people did not know how to build so buying is good and build does not include keyboard mouse monitor and warranty but if we buy it's include all the stuff fwhich is good
TECHNICAL MASTER i agrreee
Thanks
GAMING FEVER but the keyboard, mouse etc that come with those systems are real junk. Pay $1500 for something and the primary way you interact with it is junk then you miss out on part of the enjoyment of it.
I need some advice.im a ps4 gamer I’ve never gamed on a pc and with the upcoming release of the ps5 Im wondering can I build a pc that will last longer than the ps5 and the games do you have to pay to play online.im also worried about hackers we already have a lot of moders on ps4 is this a big problem on pc?
I tried to build one but it doesn't display anything I tried everything and everything is all new but no display... Any advice?
