I live further north, so they build a little differently here, moisture prevention takes into account condensation, three layers of windows, doors always open outwards from the room - and we use metric dimensions.

Nobody is making them get up early, order materials (much more of a PITA than people realize), take drone shots throughout the day, pack a lunch, pay everyone etc.. The temptation to slack off must always be there. All while staying in shape and having a positive attitude.

My only comment regarding framing the interior rake walls is use your roof slope. 2.5”\12xspacing. If it is 16” spacing your common difference in stud length is 3 5/16. If you are using 24” for interiors it would be a difference in studs of 5” each. Using that you can build your walls on the floor and raise them as per usual. That’s how we Canucks do it 🤷🏽‍♂️ other than that I enjoy every video, only thing I don’t like is my impatience that has me checking daily for the next instalment 😅

I am no builder but best way to do it when you want to cut angle on that piece go on top is by using longer piece hold it in place where you want it then use another piece that go flash on the wall from one side and mark the first piece on the other side of that piece setting flush against the wall cut that side first hold it in place again and mark the other side , another tip to build angle top walls by bulding the external frame on each wall in place lay it on the floor then fill it with the studs mark each stud cut line using the top plat then cut all the studs at once then fix them to the frame or fill what ever you going to do inside that wall and stand it fix it in place .

    Pro Tip
For walls that go into exterior walls you should use (if 2x4 exterior) a 2x4 and then a 2x6 nailed to it to form a L shape. This allows you to insulate behind the wall partition and makes it easier for the electricians. If a 2x6 wall goes into the exterior we use a 2x8 to make the backing part of the partition.

Remember back in the day before OSHA we nailed up some temporary scaffolding so we didn't have to work on uneven ground & ladders? Just some 2"x4"s and planks, what could go wrong? On one job I made 16' high sawhorses, 2"x12"x16' planks with 2"x4"x16' stiffeners, 16' braces down to stakes, then up on a 16' ladder for a 30' high vinyl siding job.

F*ck Cancer. Sorry to hear about her loss. Glad to see she is finding enjoyment in spending time with the Perkins crew though. My grandfather was a foreman for a construction company and I can remember going to work with him as a kid and hanging out with him and the crew. Fun times.

Post frames have interior walls put up after trusses go on. I framed all of our interior walls myself. Took longer than the traditional way of building on the floor and standing them up.

Where I live in Arizona, they don't allow your petition walls t touch the bottom of the truss. As you know, they make a special sloted L bracket and we have to use that. You nail the top to the wall, and then you nail the slotted part to the side of the trust, allowing the truss to deflect if needed.

I'd do steel stud for all the non load bearing interior walls but that's just me.
It is much quicker to install since you are only cutting to maybe within a quarter inch for accuracy and you only need a pair of tin snips. It does cost a bit more and you will have to add a lot of backing but it saves time building it, has much superior acoustic performance and all walls will be dead straight with no crowns. They way you are doing it here with nailing the bottom and top plates on and back filling with studs is exactly how we build steel stud walls.

@7:22 - the best rule of thumb I can give someone drawing up plans (by hand or digital) is to "say it once and say it in the right place." That means that you should never dimension something on more than one drawing and if you are not sure which drawing should have the dimension, place it on the drawing that goes to the trade/team that costs the most to fix if it gets built wrong. For any other drawings where you think that dimension MUST be referenced, put a note to "see sheet ### for detail." This way you never have conflicting numbers
In this case, the dimensions should only show up on the foundation plan as that is the drawing that would go to the mason and excavator (if your team hadn't done both).
