I didnt really like the sequel, it was much slower paced than the first movie and was really boring. The first movie was a masterpiece, the second one seemed dull and it didn’t feel the same without Kravinski.
I love how complimentary he is of everyone that he works with. Class act.

I love how he immediately breaks into a run, shows he had already been tense and his fight or flight response at the ready after having seen the meteor in the sky. much more realistic than other horror movie characters who would have just frozen on the spot

Yeah, that was really cool. Very realistic. You don't care to find out what is it, you just know you need to get away as quickly as possible.
Well to be fair, the frozen to the spot reaction is also a real/genuine reaction people can go into. However, I totally agree. It was refreshing to see this reaction. The frozen one is so annoying to me, even though I know it can be a real response, because it's over used.

John saying “ERASE THIS BEFORE I CRY” just shows what a beautiful, empathetic and classy human being he is. Can’t wait to see what else he does in his career as a director and writer.
The moment in the first one where he says "I have always loved you" was Millicent Simmonds' idea and John said he cried when he suggested it, definitely sounds consistent with his personality.

However he decided to cast Millie, it was an amazing decision. Not only because it gave deaf people a chance to realize that they can be successful or be actors, but how she actually taught everyone on set how to do sign language and she was able to communicate with Emily and John and everyone even when they weren't filming. And how he made her the lead even with a hearing disability.
lets be real - how many handicapped performers will the Society support. very presumptuous and cringe to say this helped the Deaf community. have hope, sure but eyes wide open too - against Capitalism what will win? Human goodness? or Greed?
focus energy on managing Capitalism, thats the bigger and more urgent fight. when the world is made "more right"/" less crooked", handicaps live vibrant, full lives too.

Correction: tons of Deaf people already know they can be successful and be professional actors. Hollywood just needs to quit casting hearing actors in Deaf roles and the rest of us can enjoy what they already know! Kudos to John Krasinski for being one of the guys to do it. :)

People are really easily impressed these days. Good film...though I felt the 2nd and 3rd Acts lacked punch and the concluding scene felt derivative of the conclusion of the 1st movie. That said, it was good entertaining fun. Hardly a masterpiece.

No. No he’s not. 28 days later is still considered one of if not the best horror film of all time, with him being the main character of said film, and Peaky Blinders, you know the show that he stars in, won the literal “tv show of the decade” award. So yeah. Not underrated.

the scene in the car where Emilys character is driving and first sees the monster was so freaking intense. saw it with my mom and i was like 'what would you even do if this was happening and you're sitting there wondering wtf is going on? and then you see THAT??' i honestly don't know that i'd be able to react so swiftly, i'd be in such shock.
I gotta admit, the father reacting to the creature hitting the cop car seemed a little too fast. The meteor trail in the sky didn't seem intense enough a clue to set that hair trigger response.

John (and his wife, Emily), seem like genuinely nice, good people - and ridiculously talented!! I loved A Quiet Place and just saw the sequel and loved it as well. He created such GREAT tension and SUSPENSE in both movies - but maybe even more in the second. I loved how he was cutting back and forth between two or three, high drama scenes. It was so suspenseful, I was literally on the edge of my seat. Love how humble and self-deprecating John is. How refreshing. ❤️

@@colby6893 acting or not, I appreciate that he wanted to know what it’s like to be in a deaf person shoes, so he casted Millicent Simmonds, who is actually deaf. He even asked her family questions about the topic, had an ASL interpreter on set and Millicent herself helped teach ASL to the cast. That’s true dedication.
I understand what you meant and 10000% agree. Millie brings such a special perspective to the movie that no one else could. I much prefer actors being cast/chosen based on their knowledge of what the character is actually going through, it elevates the performance and it always shows. How many times have i watched something where the acting misses the mark, if they had just cast the right person.
I def agree with you. I know some ppl get offended because ppl can “act”, but let’s try more to have actors who understand what it feels like and understand form a Real perspective.

Saw this at a Drive-In. The whole opening sequence coming through an old school boom box then hearing the silent country night during the quiet outdoor scenes was unintentionally perfect.
Watching that scene is a car was probably even more terrifying I imagine
Honestly if there’s one thing I love about the flashback scene in the beginning it’s how it explains all the details we see on the downtown street in the first movie that gave us hints about what happened such as how the stoplight had crumbled to the ground which apparently happened because Evelyn backs her car into one of the towers holding it

Stroke of genius
One of my favorite things about videos like these is learning about things we NEVER would have know, like the camera breaking. It looks so natural I would never have guessed it was a mistake. I love little trivia like that.
It's crazy seeing how much his career grew after the office. Comes off as a genuine person.

I saw A Quiet Place Part II in theaters with my friend last weekend. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It is absolutely the best movie I have seen in ages. It was thrilling, suspenseful, thoughtful, and heartfelt. Thank you, John Krasinski!

John really out did himself with this movie. It's amazing, just saw it in cinemas yesterday. I loved when he added how Millie hears the world, and when he mentioned how her mother reacted and him saying he chocked up was so sweet, i started tearing up ! This movie was amazing, I'd love to see some more movies directed and written by him.

He’s such an amazing director because he engaged in conversations with Milly and Noah, even though they were children, he took their ideas and new thoughts and he didn’t do everything exactly how he wanted, but he listen to everyone and considered everyone’s personal thoughts and ideas which I find so admirable

Late to the party, but finally saw this and it was an amazing sequence. Love how excited Krasinski is about his actors and making the movie in general. Movies are fun and an extravagance but they're also, in Krasinki's case, a masterclass in creativity and ingenuity. Can't wait for PT 3!

I'm so glad he made a sequel. This movie did a LOT of world building for their universe that I was not expecting. Amazing movie.
Man, him taking the names of everyone not only in the cast but also the crew while doing this is awesome. And he only says "my wife" when he is trying to inject some humor in how crazy he was to get her to drive. He refers to her as Emily otherwise, an actress in her own right who he is a crazy fan of
John is so talented it's insane. I loved the first movie and I've seen it so many times. So I've been waiting to see this for such a long time. And I finally did tonight, I haven't been to the cinema since September 2020 and it was worth it 100 times over. He outdid himself, sequels rarely do, but John absolutely crushed it 👌🏻👌🏻. If their ever is a Part 3 I hope John does everything again. Otherwise I don't want it 🙂.
Oh and every actor did a fantastic job, Millicent has a super bright future ahead of her and Emily once again brought her a game, what a power couple they are John and Emily 😍👍🏻.
Absolutely loved this filmed, aswell as the first. Krasinski has such a gift for story telling

We saw this yesterday and I have to say it was BRILLIANT, we liked it better than the first and that opening scene was SO INTENSE! If he doesn’t make a third I’m gonna be DEVASTATED 😩

When he mentioned Children of Men I got so excited cause that was one of the greatest action scenes I've ever seen. That's really cool that he was inspired by that.
Thank you for this, I always like to know how they did certain scenes and this was a AMAZING one, and going into Millie's world was I thought special to the movie as you do not feel the horror going on until someone else comes and shows you which becomes not reacting to the horror but reacting to people they love feeling the horror
After having watched it, this small breakdown just makes the experience so much better even tho it has already happened. Huge props to John and everyone else involved in the making of it

I just saw this film the other day and I have to say the actors were all brilliant and I loved the contstant parallelism between the separate storylines. The ending was fantastic and I can't wait for part 3.
John Krasinski is extremely talented and creative. A great actor and not very many people have to say negative things of him. He is quickly rising to be a Hollywood Kingpin.

We just watched this movie in the theater. We hadn't been to a movie theater in 14 months! It felt so amazing to feel like life may be getting back to normal. This was a great movie to come back to the movie theater again! We really enjoyed it. I also accidentally yelled out loud when that first alien attacked the cop car. I think I scared everyone in the theater! We also loved how the perspective changed between a deaf person and hearing person. That was awesome and was very jarring.
I did not yell, but I did jump and essentially, 'clutched the pearls' lol.
No one yelled or made noise when I was watching it! I wished someone would have tho😂 That would’ve been so funny

My boyfriend and I went to see the movie last night. We got stuck in front of a bunch of kids who talked through the entire movie. It kind of ruined the experience, but other than that the movie was great. The crow jump-scare got me really good!
I vividly remember almost everyone in the movie theater going "oOOO!!" when the sons foot got trapped. We felt his pain through the screen
I didn't know he directed it, brilliant film. Love the aspects of them being fallen angels.

I just saw A Quiet Place Part II at the drive in, and I was really emotional at the forward by John Krasinski before the movie. He thanked everyone for coming out to see the movie in person, and it may be silly but it was my first time going out since the pandemic. The gratitude he expressed that we came, made me realize how happy he was that his movie would be seen, and made me realize how happy I was to be doing something as normal as going to see a movie.
Beautiful film. You can sense his dedication to his craft through his features.
