  • LC Racing has been producing smaller scale RC vehicles for some time now, but the company is on the move and things are getting bigger and more serious. One of their latest releases is the LC12B1 which were were able to get our hands on to share with you. This 4WD electric buggy looks like a full blown 1/10 competition racer at first glance, but if you look a little closer, you can see it’s scaled down just a bit and is in fact 1/12-scale. Don’t let its smaller size fool you though, it’s still loaded with features you would see in the common 1/10-scale racing world. But it doesn’t end there, the LC12B1 actually performs like a 1/10 racing buggy too! This buggy is perfect for smaller indoor and outdoor RC race tracks. Do we have your attention? Get all the details on the LC Racing LC12B1 4wd 1/12-Scale Racing Buggy in our video review.

      I've messed around with a few LC cars before, but really got to spend some time with this one. I was pretty impressed with how it handled. I've been to a few smaller 1/10 tracks where this LC12B1 would be a perfect fit. I agree this scale should get some more attention.

    We race these LC Racing vehicles in various forms. Excellent cars. We use the nylon wings for durability, but a 1/10 wing should be more than fine. Biggest thing would be to go with that upgraded center diff cups that are one piece, unless you really really REALLY coat the set screw with threadlock. The floating servo mount combined with say the SRT M12 servo is a beast.
    Drop some schumacher SST Pin tires on these cars and its like velcro on the track.

    I’ve had the LC racing fright for 3 years. Bashed it, put paddles on it, raced it. The only time it’s ever broken on me is when I run 3s lipo it has a tendency to twist axles and strip ring/pinions. But it’s PLENTY fast on the 2s batteries and it will drive forever with little to no maintenance. Highly recommend this car to literally anybody.

    Thank you Greg (and Dean!) for reviewing these great little cars and giving them the attention they are so deserving of!
    I've had my LC12B1 since January and absolutely love it. I think mine was 8 or 9 here in the US and my second LCR. These are super fun and extremely durable little cars, that can certainly take some abuse. Even for bashers, I wouldn't shy way from this car. Take a look around and you'll see the other LC models being quite capable on that front. The only difference here being the mid motor design and open gear box. The open gear box of the LC12 might rule it out for running in super loose dirt, but nothing that couldn't be remedied with some steel gearing.
    LC has had sort of cult following for quite awhile, and I don't know why these haven't taken off as an intro spec class to get more people into the racing side of the hobby, but hopefully with more reviews like this, that will start to change.
    Best minis on the market! Still!

  • @jdnic1
    @jdnic1 2 года назад +1

    the thing with this is that i run the 1/14 scale buggy, which have the same electronics as this 1/12 scale minus your motor being bigger, but i was still able to run it on a 1/8 scale track at revelation rc, on 2s and clear most of the jumps. but on 3s jumps is not the issue, landing them is the issue lol. my point is if a 1/14 scale can run on a 1/8 dirt track. the 1/12 should be able to do just fine on a 1/10 scale track, and the fact that the 1/14 and the 1/12 literally have the same wheels.

      It’s the 124019. And is a copy of this LC12B1. With brushed electronics. I have one ordered as I didn’t see the LC Racing first. WLTOYS I believe the shocks and diffs are inferior to the LC Racing ones. Such as the pistons in the shocks aren’t machines well so you need a lot thicker oil to compensate for the blow by. And the diffs aren’t sealed so only grease can be used.

Generraly i loved this vehicle because of ther price as a kit, because an 1/10 4wd racing buggy (kit only) cost over 400 dollars and i can't buy it easily, so the half of the price for this buggy it's very helpful me.
