  • LC Racing is known for making racing type RC cars, just on a smaller scale. They’ve had a number of exciting releases and have now launched a new 2WD buggy that is, well, rather impressive. It’s the new 1/14-scale BHC-1 and we got our hands on the kit and RTR to check out. RC Driver’s Dean B is taking the lead on this one as he races at the mini race capital RC Madness in Enfield, CT weekly and can really put the efforts into testing. If you like the idea of smaller scale racers, this is a video you can’t miss!

    LC Racing doesn't get enough credit, even though you guys are one of the few bigger channels that do.
    I own the rally chassis, PTG2R and one of the replica of LC Racing made by WLtoys (124018, the brushed, LWB desert rock bouncer/buggy), and they're an absolute blast. Great great designs.
    I hope they get s few good importers and grow in the US and Europe. They definitely deserve better with the quality and fun their cars bring.

      Warren RC in michigan does a great job at carrying all the parts for LC. They have been a distributor for longer than 3+ years.

    Glad to see all of a love for LC racing coming out! I HAVE THE 12B1 AND THE EMB1 truggy, and they both rock. This new little guy is definitely on my hot list!

    I had the EMB1 which I converted to the LC12 with all the goodies. Probably did over 2000 laps both on dirt and carpet. The car was a killer and was 13.5 4wd lap times tho took more finesse to drive quickly due to it's scale. LC makes a banger product. ROAR will allow this to run with 1/10 and I see it could be a good weapon for tighter tracks!

    Man, your kit car was DESTROYING that triple, holy crap! Could the 10th-scale cars even do that?

    Hello could you make a video or a “short” just size comparing to a mini-b? And when you say 6350 for the castle are you talking kv? What size can is it ? 1010 series?

    Thanks, I'll tell ya when it comes to the shock oil, people are all over the place. It's no different than picking numbers out of a hat. I wish LC would offer some better guidance on this. You went with 600/400, some are going with 450/450, others 200 to 275 F/R and some 500 or 700 F/R. Ugh. haha

    LC has had the 1/14 way before Losi came out with the 1/16th scale, so Losi should have followed. Associated even had 1/14 before Losi.

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 6 месяцев назад

      _Losi_ had 1/14 before they came out with the 1/16th scale buggy. Remember the Mini 8ight? In fact, the whole reason why 1/14th scale exists is because of the Mini 8ight, since the platform was designed as a pocket-sized 1/8th scale buggy that was still big enough to be run on 1/10th scale clay and dirt tracks.
      Then again, before Losi there was Kyosho with the Mini Inferno (not the Mini-Z Inferno), which was 1/18th. And alongside those was the Anderson trio (Anderson MB4, LRP Shark, Duratrax Vendetta), also 1/18th. And before them we had the RC18 series which was 1/18th. And before that was the original Mini-T, also 1/18th. And before that there was the HPI Micro RS4, again 1/18th.
      So, really, the standard _should_ be 1/18th.

      @@VestedUTuber True, Losi was into the 1/14th scale already, even before LC Racing, I think, but then apparently Losi later dropped it and went 1/16, I guess?

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 4 месяца назад

      @@rc-fannl7364
      Losi discontinued the Mini-8ight platform gradually, starting with the buggy and rally car, then the 1/14th scale Vaterra cars, then the truggy and desert buggy, citing poor sales but I have my suspicions it was actually because Losi's been trying to get out of the racing scene ever since Horizon bought them*, and the Mini-8ight platform was only really suitable for tracks and other prepared surfaces. There was a gap between the Mini-8ight platform and the Mini-T 2.0 and Mini-B where Losi didn't have anything smaller than 1/10th scale.
      *The Mini-T 2.0 and Mini-B are definitely racing-focused platforms in and of themselves, but they're also small enough and the brushed versions are slow enough to be run in a large carpeted basement or other larger household room.

  • @lcpeterbilt379
    @lcpeterbilt379 Год назад

    why not go with 1/16 scale to compete with the mini b and t? kinda odd jumping to their own scale. i guess they can compete against the losi jrx2 but its not a very popular size.

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 6 месяцев назад

      Ever since Losi came out with the Mini 8ight, the mini scene has been one big clusterfuck of scales. Back when we were running RC18s and Anderson MB4 relabels it was all 1/18th scale with the occasional underproportioned 1/16th scale model.

      My experience as well. I have the 4WD EMB-1H and it took some tumbles in the past (6000kv motor on 2S with too much traction=backflips/traction rolls) but so far only broke a servo and needed some new batteries and tires at some point.
